I’m releasing SLTune, a free pitch-correction plug-in for monophonic vocals.

It handles gradual correction and hard tuning, with custom note sets, MIDI targets and an adjustable A4 reference (420–480 Hz). Formant shifting covers ±24 semitones, with a separate mix control and switchable tune/formant processing order.

Two LFOs provide tempo-synced modulation, including dotted and triplet rates. The second can switch to an envelope follower for voice-driven pitch and timbre changes.

LIVE reports 2 ms of plug-in latency at 48 kHz. HIGH uses 64 ms for cleaner formant processing; extreme shifts in LIVE can still produce artifacts. Interface and buffer latency are additional.

Available as AU for Apple Silicon Macs and VST3 for Windows x64 with English manual.

I’ve just finished Jon Pulls Strings, a free / Name Your Price library for Audiomodern Soundbox.

It is a small, personal string collection built from recordings of violin, viola, cello and double bass.

There are 12 presets in total:

- Violin / Viola / Cello / Double Bass – Arco Dynamic

- Violin / Viola / Cello / Double Bass – Pizzicato Dynamic

- Violin / Viola / Cello / Double Bass – Legato (Mono)

The Dynamic presets use three velocity layers: pp, mf and ff.

The arco instruments use looped sustains for longer expressive notes, while the pizzicato instruments keep their natural unlooped decay.

The Legato presets are monophonic performance presets rather than recorded true-legato transitions.

I’ve spent quite a bit of time adjusting the mapping, tuning, sample starts and levels, and I’m finally happy with how it turned out. :)

The original recordings come from the University of Iowa Musical Instrument Samples, with editing, mapping and Soundbox assembly by me.

My name is Ivan, and I am a musician from Kazakhstan. I recently moved to another city and lost access to my hardware gear, including the classic Polivoks synth.

I really wanted to keep using that legendary sound in my workflow, so I started looking for a free VST/AAX alternative online. To my surprise, I couldn't find anything that quite fit the bill or sounded right. In the end, I decided to take matters into my own hands and spent some time building my own virtual version from scratch.

I just wanted a proper virtual Polivoks for myself to enjoy the music-making process, and now I want to share it with the community absolutely for free.
