Someone really should talk to Kingsley about how he looks at people. This was his face at tonight's listening session while a student from Irish Elementary was talking about how much they love their school.

Anyone know where I can find bones?

I collect animal bones and recently decided to pursue bone reading (it’s a type of divination). I need some smaller sturdier bones to add to my set that will survive being tossed around with stones and other trinkets.

I know I can get some on Etsy but I feel like there should be some good spots nearby to find road kill bones or something like that!

House buying scam?

I got a call from (983) 209-0477 saying, in a heavy accent, that the caller wants to buy my house. I know this is a scam, but has anyone else received calls from this number? The area code is a new one in the Denver area.

Best MTB store

I’m looking for new tires and tubeless sealant and wondering which store has the most affordable and readily available product? I tend to favor Drake cycles but wanted to see if anyone had any other suggestions?

Female health access

I'm posting this for my partner. My family is uninsured. We don't work for employers who automatically provide medical insurance. We (very gratefully) have a higher annual income than the threshold for medicaid, but we can't afford the ACA premiums. It has been a struggle, and so many long hours of research and phone calls, to find doctors and medical clinics that will accept new cash pay clients, let alone provide cash pay clients with transparent pricing.

This is not a post for sympathy though, but a post to help others! My partner finally spoke with someone about Colorado's Women's Wellness Connection (WWC) program which is extremely helpful for important preventative cancer screenings for females. If you are in a similar situation, or know someone who is, please look into this program.

We all deserve easy access to preventative healthcare.

Done with UC Health, and after reading other things here, I am encouraging citizens to unite in anger.

[EDIT] I regret the title of this post in retrospect only to issue my grievance on my family members behalf. Its just not my first negative experience and to anyone who works for them who cares and helps people, you deserve to be ackowledged.

l love this city and there are so many good things about it and I don't want to be the person who decides to login to reddit just to complain, to be that person who can only leave a survey when they're mad...

But I am SO over UC Health - I have read multiple comments of other users going through what I did, of being over charged for asking a question during your appointment with a physician or even with a PA over the phone, as this happened to me.

But THIS post/comment was prompted on behalf of an absurd incidence on behalf of a family member. I am choosing to be vague on behalf of their anonymity - but they visited a specialist clinic to receive a medicine that relieves them of chronic pain. The administration of this medicine via a shot takes 5-10 minutes, and changes their quality of life night to day. I Imagine medically knowledgeable people will already have a good guess as to what I am talking about.

Any way, they went into their appointment that they are pretty good of jotting down correctly to find out that they had supposedly wrote it down wrong... The appointment was apparently at X time, not when they had written it down. People make mistakes, I am not claiming who made which mistake and lets for the purposes of this happenstance that my family member was indeed wrong the whole time and that they wrote their appointment time down wrong, that's not the point.

The person at the desk who informed them that the appointment was missed and that there was nothing they could do was SO RUDE and couldn't be brought to care, at all, and that no one could schedule them another appointment for A CALENDAR YEAR - hearing this story, my mouth was agape. After coming home and calling the number that required to be called to schedule the appointment and confirming that there is no one who can administer this medication for LITERALLY 12+ months - is unacceptable.

I acknowledge a few things. I am not a doctor nor anyone who has worked near the healthcare field - I am ignorant of a great many things. I do understand in my menially knowledgably position that this medication is expensive - it is not pulled out and prepared until someone is on site so no medication was lost or wasted in this case. I do not know what it is like to work in this field, how many appointments exist and who technically HAS to be the one to administer this medication (its a shot)... But this is not a haircut, or a cleaning of the gutters... this is a non-surgical medical procedure that takes literally minutes that can be successfully administered by anyone who has been trained and could meet them in the lobby - but then, changes their entire life from chronic, debilitating, pain

Does anyone have another experience like this? Does anyone have anything else to say about UC Health good or bad? I have had more than 1 bad experience that has me looking elsewhere but this story and my concern that my family member who really NEEDS this and I feel powerless to help... I am just so sad for them and at least thanks for reading this.

Bike and e-bike maintenance. Looking for classes in or around town. Total newbie to bike maintenance

I have never learned how to maintain bikes and I’ve finally invested in a decent bike and we just got a cargo style e-bike. I really want to take good and proper care of them and maybe even learn how to fix routine things that may need TLC. I’ve checked Fort Follies site and see they’ve had classes in the past but not seeing anything new. Can anyone help this newbie out and point me in the right direction 🚲

Missing CRASH reports

I just realized the FT Collins police still haven't released the CRASH reports for the fatal accident on Mulberry on July 6th or the accident on Mountain Ave on August 29th.

I messaged them through Facebook over a month ago and got no response.

I was trying to find an email address but gave up.

Why are they not releasing any information?

Least scary haunted corn maze?

Hi all! I'm looking for an intro to haunted corn mazes. Anyone have a suggestion for the least scary haunted corn maze north of Denver? I'm new to horror type stuff and I really want to go to one this year but I'm worried I'll be in over my head so if anyone has suggestions on one that would be tame that would be amazing!

For reference, I enjoy a movie that has jump scares that leave me feeling silly and laughing after but not ones where the creepiness continues and I'm scared but it's not funny and the feeling of dread continues if that makes sense.

MiniDV Camcorder needed

Post image
9 Upvotes

Hi all! Hope you all enjoying the lovely fall weather.

This is a longshot but I am wondering if anyone has a camcorder that I can borrow for a day or two to get these tapes transferred to digital format. I have 5 of them I'd like to get moved. My old camera doesn't work anymore. :( I'd rather not have to buy a new one. I'm happy to transfer videos for you in return!

I'm gathering a bunch of equipment as i have VHS, Video 8, and these minis to transfer. I'll let you know how it all works out.

Tell me what you think of Kingsley, PSD Board President Zamora, and the rest of the board.

Except for Dr. Ziegler, most of the board has to go.

Zamora was mentored “well” and she is fake.

Kingsley needs to go!
