I got this over the US version because we only offer Deep spool. Went w a Shallow spool with Regal’s XH. I can now cast a 2lb line to narnia.

I'm not very knowledgeable about fishing gear, so I thought I would turn to you guys for help.
I found this old fishing pole in a shop that my friend asked me to clean out and this thing looks ancient. It says "King Gaster" on it. (No, not caster, gaster) I tried to google it but I couldn't find any relevent results!?
Can someone help me figure out how old this thing is? (And maybe it's value, cough cough) Thanks in advance! :D
P.S. The reel that came with it says 'Real Reels, Goite' on it. It looks equally old.

Set the hook last night and the thing exploded right above to the handle. You'd expect more from a rod that's $240.
Still got the pike in though.

I bought my truck used with a prinsu rack and have never used it. I have a camper shell in the back that’s built out a bit, so not ideal for transporting longer rods, and was wondering if anyone has any products they liked that are compatible with the prinsu racks/suggestion for rod transportation with these? Thanks!

The reel reels forwards and backwards on my Shimano Nasci 2500hg. This model doesnt have the toggle lever for the anti reverse, so all sources point to a problem with the anti reverse clutch. I checked the bearings and springs and they seem fine.

How would one go about cleaning silt and small rocks out of the worm gear on a shimano curado bfs reel?

I'm looking for a travel fishing rod with fast action and heavy power, around 6'6" to 7' long. The longest section needs to be no more than 50–55 cm, and my budget is $250max.
I've been looking at the Bone BXC664H, but unfortunately, it's out of stock at all the online stores that ship to my country. Does anyone have any recommendations for similar rods?

Hi everyone, I lost a nice lure I liked today, I’m only just starting out fishing and this was just in the fishing box from my aunt. I wanted to replace it but I’m having a hard time finding something like it because I don’t know exactly where she got it from.
It was silver, a long sort of spoon shape, maybe 3-4inches and had a bunch of holes in it that looked a little like bubbles. I found this vintage lure that is maybe the same one so I can show a photo. Is there anything similar around?

Picked up this new Shimano Line Winder to test out for a review, but honestly, they should’ve named it the Line Remover.
It basically just strips line off your reel fast, for quick disposal (or onto an empty spool if you're changing lines). Surprising for a plastic gadget, it’s actually Made in Japan and feels really solid. It does the job well, but if you already have a decent line winder setup, this won't replace it doesn't as you can't use it to add tension to a line for spooling braid on a reel.
Retail here in Japan is around $32 in shop or $25 on Amazon JP. Personally, even $25 feels a bit high for what it is, so I hope they don't jack the price up for you guys overseas. Obviously, there are plenty of creative ways to strip line off a reel for free, but for gadget lovers, it's a handy piece of gear, especially when you need to remove 300m of line!

do I keep my boxes for whatever species of fish in going for or do I set them up per lake I fish? Or type of bait.

Bates EDC or Lews Accel Rx? I tried a baitcaster when I was younger but my dad wasn't very patient and I gave up and stuck with spinning reels. Now I'm over 50 and my kids can use baitcasters but I can't. What is the best reel for fewer backlashes or birds nest. I want to stay below $200 .

I spend a lot of time using low-profile for both covering water and punching. For those who use round or both, does a round reel really feel more powerful and solid on bigger fish, or is the extra weight and size not worth it?
Which one are you grabbing for all-day casting, and which one for punching—and why? Thanks!!
