right now im outside of the PowerPlant Mall Theater. i intentionally went here because usually their ticket prices are really expensive and ive never been here, i thought this is a good reason to finally come here.

when i arrived here, and i asked about this post that the studio did, and they had no clue. so i went and double checked and their Cinema IS apart of the participating cinemas. its really frustrating because even after showing this apparently its not enough and they even started to act rude when i suggested for them to contact their supervisor, thinking maybe they just forgot to let them know about it.

has anyone encountered this before? im thinking what should i do, im looking for super entertainment regarding this issue, idk maybe powerplant mall pulled out last minute on participating in this promo.

this is pretty disappointing, i rarely get exited on watching local made movies and having to experience this mishaps really sucks.

Found this gem dati pa pero di ko pinansin, until today.

Maganda yung film itself, and akalain mo yun, 2013 pa to. Nostalgic, eye-opening, and other feelings that I cannot name, basta.

Definitely worth it!

If ever may fan ng Godzilla Franchise dito at gustong ma-experience yung old movies, nag babalik sa Big Screen yung 5 movies from different era. The film exploring anxieties about genetic manipulation and the ethical limits of biotechnology and also grief.

Crazy cause I saw the latest showtimes and this movie isn't showing much anywhere in the Metro kahit last week lang pinalabas but we caught it last week at least at BGC and I still feel like it's an important movie people should at least know about.

Sorkin's snappy writing, allegories, zingers, and fancy metaphors are all still there and are enough for the price of admission alone. I love Jeremy Strong from Succession and this feels like a beefed up version of Kendall in ways. White and Madison are fun to watch together. Alas, I still wish this was more..

Subject matter is deeply important for us to remember, mas lalo pa tayong Pilipinas na pinaka-online sa social media, and the lack of fact-checking, the aggressiveness of the algorithm (i.e. ragebaiting people without them knowing it), and the lack of intervention on Facebook's end is really weight-y stuff that, regardless of the movie, needs to be kept on mind. I just wished the movie gave it more urgency and treated this story with more palpable tangibility than it did. Maybe a different director would do.

Ironic that we shared the cinema with some annoying ass moviegoers in the row behind us who tried to be funnier than the movie, took multiple pictures with flash, loved massaging their plastic, and walked out right when the movie was proving its point. As much as I wish more people saw this movie, if you're as obnoxious as that, baka wag nalang kayo HAHAHA. Didn't book good seats online for a-holes to be talking over it, goddamn.

Wished this was more than a watch-it-when-its-on-Netflix movie like how the first is still an instant classic and more stylishly directed.

Ano thoughts niyo sa movie? Haven't met or spoken to anyone else who's seen it kaya I wanna know what ppl in this sub or anyone thinkss about it.

This just got re-released in Megaworld cinemas starting today. Highly recommended for those who haven't seen it yet, my favorite horror movie of that year. Utterly bleak and hopeless in all the best ways.

With the general entry submission deadline for the 99th Academy Awards just under a month away, let’s look back at the Academy’s historically notorious snubs. Here are my personal picks since the year 2000, broken into three specific lists: films that should have won Best Picture, those that should have won Best International Feature Film, and the outright snubs that missed out on nominations entirely but deserved to win either or both. What are yours? Which of my choices do you agree with or contest?

Should have won BP:

1. Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (2000)
2. LOTR 1 (2001)
3. The Pianist (2002)
4. Lost in Translation (2003)
5. Sideways (2004)
6. Brokeback Mountain (2005)
7. There Will Be Blood (2007)
8. Inglourious Basterds (2009)
9. The Social Network (2010)
10. The Tree of Life (2011)
11. Amour (2012)
12. Boyhood (2014)
13. Mad Max: Fury Road (2015)
14. Get Out (2017)
15. Roma (2018)
16. The Power of the Dog (2021)
17. The Zone of Interest (2023)

Should have won Best International Feature Film:

1. Amélie (2001)
2. Hero (2002)
3. Downfall (2004)
4. Paradise Now (2005)
5. Panʼs Labyrinth (2006)
6. Waltz with Bashir (2008)
7. The White Ribbon (2009)
8. Incendies (2010)
9. Toni Erdmann (2016)
10. The Square (2017)
11. Quo Vadis, Aida? (2020)
12. EO (2022)
13. The Seed of the Sacred Fig (2024)
14. The Secret Agent (2025)

Should have been nominated and won either or both:

1. In the Mood for Love (2000)
2. Mulholland Drive (2001) (only eligible for BP)
3. City of God (2002)
4. Goodbye, Dragon Inn (2003)
5. Caché (2005)
6. Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives (2010)
7. Under the Skin (2013) (only eligible for BP)

With all the weekend activities, I tried to finish all episodes. I like that they made it contemporary and added this “X-Men-like Mutant secret group” twist that really sets up it to be a series compared to the classic movies (OG 1976 and the 2013). I’ve also read about that Mike Flanagan is planning it to be a Kingverse series so definitely other Stephen King characters will be added to it.

PS: Photo is Gladys Reyes from Anak Ng Dilim (1997) 😅

Crawlers is coming to PH! This is a horror movie about spider infestation! I think unique take ito sa horror genre dahil di pangkaraniwan yung pagiging horror niya. It’s all about spiders! Kaya lahat ng mga may arachnophobia diyan, I think it’s a challenge for you guys na panoorin ito!!!

CreaZion Studios pala ang distributor!

ka-excite!!!

I’ve seen this great movie 3 times, and the more you’ve seen it, the more you understand it.

🎬: X-Men: Days of Future Past (Rogue Cut)

Watched this last night and my oh my, didn’t expect this was a tearjerker.

Florence Pugh was brilliant. Love her passion where in she shaved her hair for this film.

I also didn’t realize that Andrew was British.

10/10 for those looking for bittersweet romance.

HAHAHA GETS BAA

Is anyone else collecting the Godzilla Film Festival cards? Unfortunately SM megamall only distributes 2 of the 5 collectible Godzilla cards. I’m assuming other locations will also be distributing certain cards only and not one card per specific movie ticket purchased. I am willing to trade with others missing cards from the set.

I currently have 1 extra mothra card and 2 extra ghidorah cards
