i should have had Corona and my base hero pick for a while now but this fuckass dogshit multi-billion dollar game doesn't recognize that my gallery is above level zero. i literally have completed objectives for reaching level 2 in another category yet this one has zeroes across the board. fucking disgrace.

I’ve been playing FIFA for decades. And I honestly can’t remember being this disappointed with the direction of the gameplay.
I’ve deliberately avoided Ultimate Team for years. Why? Because I never liked the obsession with overpowered individual players, exaggerated abilities and exploiting whatever mechanics happen to be the meta.
That’s why I played Online Seasons. I wanted to play actual football. Building attacks, anticipating movements, creating space, finding passing lanes and outthinking my opponent.
And I was pretty damn good at it.
In FC 26, I played Bayern Munich in Division 1 and lost fewer than 5% of my matches.
Now, in FC 27, I’m stuck in Division 3, losing roughly half my games.
At first, I thought maybe I just needed to adapt.
Then I switched to Real Madrid.
And suddenly, winning became ridiculously easy again.
The funny thing is, I’m not even particularly good at dribbling.
But with Mbappé, it barely matters. His movement is absurd. He changes direction almost instantly, glides through defenders and smashes shots into the top corner with a simple tap of the shoot button.
Meanwhile, Harry Kane, one of the best finishers and most intelligent strikers in world football, feels massively disadvantaged simply because he can’t move like an arcade character.
And that’s where I think EA has fundamentally lost the plot.
Football intelligence is being replaced by reaction speed and individual player mechanics.
Why bother reading the game three passes ahead? Why patiently move defenders out of position? Why create space through intelligent combinations when you can just give the ball to Mbappé and wiggle your way through the defence?
The game doesn’t sufficiently reward the things that make actual football such a fascinating sport.
And here’s what frustrates me most:
Everything I deliberately avoided in Ultimate Team has now infected the core gameplay of Online Seasons.
The exaggerated individual abilities. The obsession with pace and agility. The arcade-like movements. The increasing importance of mastering individual mechanics instead of understanding football.

Maybe EA is deliberately making the game more accessible to newcomers. If all you need to create chances is a fast, agile superstar and decent reactions, you don’t need years of football knowledge or tactical understanding to be competitive.
That might make commercial sense. It might appeal to a wider audience.
But at what cost?
And before anyone responds with “skill issue”:
I’m winning again with Real Madrid. That’s exactly why I’m complaining.
I don’t enjoy winning this way.
I want to beat opponents because I anticipate their movements, understand space better, make smarter decisions and build better attacks.
Not because my player can change direction five times in two seconds and fire an unstoppable shot from an absurd position.
Of course, football requires individual brilliance. Mbappé SHOULD be exceptional. But even Mbappé is subject to momentum, body positioning, defensive organization and the laws of physics.
A great football game should reflect that.
I’m not asking for an easier game. I’m asking for a game in which being good at football matters more than being good at exploiting the controller.
After decades with this franchise, I’m genuinely wondering whether EA still wants to make a football simulation at all.
Or whether the goal is simply to create the most accessible, fast-paced, mechanically rewarding arcade game possible.
Does anyone else feel that tactical football has become significantly less rewarding in FC 27, especially compared to FC 26?
And if you disagree, I’d genuinely like to hear why.

In Previous FC titles, I would be div 4 by now and div 1 at the end of the cycle, I'm not the best player and average an 8-9 wins in WL, but in this game, Div 6 seems to be waaaaay harder than WL and defending is absolutely atrocious with all the female players playing like TOTY Messi. I have decided to delete the game today after 6 losing streak and never look back. I left out my 2,000 FC points for my sanity.

I'm so at a loss for this, but every single game I'm playing is the exact same. I've lost 6 in a row in D5 after being close to promoting to Div 4. Every single game goes the same way.

• I take ages to fashion a chance whether I actually build up with the ball or play on the counter. My opponent parts my defense like the red sea and is in on goal with one through ball
• My opponents average center backs like Militao catch up to any ball through or over the top that I can play. My Ibanez and Lacroix can't catch Vicky Lopez to save their life, no matter how early I switch covering the obvious triggered run
• My opponents can wiggle back and forth on the edge of the box for an eternity until I either switch to the wrong player or they eventually slam a low driven past me at the near post. My players run away from the ball even if I'm second man pressing. The amount of tacklebacks I seem to concede is insane relative to how many I'm getting
• When I'm in possession, I get tackled through the back, muscled off by Stanway, or my player eventually passes to the wrong player and I lose the ball. I skill move around a player but the opponent gets a clean tackle animation anyway and I lose the ball. I can't left stick around anyone despite having players with great dribbling and my opponent can sprint jockey as fast as I can run with the ball

Sure, INB4 skill issue / Thursday Rivals whatever, but I got 9-11 wins fairly consistently the last few years. Genuinely what the hell am I supposed to do? I see other people succeeding without 95 depth/narrow so it has to be possible

Slightly better than previous evos we had but still nothing usefull imo, especially for a 85 overall.

Is there a way to know what players you've recently gotten that you can add to any team in the gallery? Seems to be that having to go though team by team if there are new players is inefficient

I honestly don’t know why my games are stuttering, i don’t play online i purely play career mode. Ive tried ultra and low settings it seems like it doesn’t matter i still get the annoying stuttering no matter what graphic settings i choose. I’ve tried borderless, vsync and a lower and higher refresh rate and still no hope. Can someone help me out if you can thanks.

My specs: AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT - AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D - Samsung SSD 870 EVO 2TB - 32GB RAM

Got bored of playing with small fast players, bought a mandzukic and crouch, tried to play 532 with fullbacks with whipped plus and those two upfront but the players animations when crosses come in seem to suck. The crosses also seemed to be a bit too flat.

Changed to a 433 and put mandzukic coming in from lw with me trying to cross from the right. Got a fair bit of success with getting headers off, but keeper saved everything which was annoying.

Any specific roles on forwards or formations that may help me play this style? I had the forwards on target forward attack.
Plus is there a way to cross that is better for this sort of play rather than the standard

The fix appears to be now that the ball floats not as far into the goal and right into Keepers possession instead of laser to your selected player in the net.

Can the dev team do literally anything right? The sheer amount of basic bugs that shouldn’t have made it past day one is a joke. Camera speed worked perfectly fine in FC26, how did you mess up the camera speed this badly?.... FC27 DEVs fix your game.

Fix the EndToEnd camera in Rush mode and Clubs because camera lags behind the action constantly. Fix High Contrast Mode shutting itself off automatically at halftime for no reason. Fix AI attacking runs in UT, players stand completely still 5 meters away while you press L1/R1 for curb runs. Fix ST, CAMs running away from the play. We are not in the beta stage anymore.

Seriously, FC27 is getting on my nerves. I don't think i've experienced such cracked ai in squad battles, it's impossible to defend them on corners. Also the whole 95 depth meta gimmick is insane, why does it decide if you win or lose matches now? I find it impossible to enjoy playing the game without it. I don't know, it's probably always been like this on ultimate team but this year is just something else man. Whole point of this game is to make you play UT, then make the playing experience so awful that you 'have' to buy packs to enjoy yourself. Also this pack weight? I haven't fucking got a single promo in a whole week of playing and ive opened a shitload of packs. it hasn't been this bad in yearssssss

One of my friends got kicked, tried to sub in and it wouldn't let him. So we got two goalies...which means no offsides. The NPC was cherry picking lol....wild.
