Dynasty Theory What’s really the value of a 3rd round pick?

Had a guy offer me his 2027 3rd round pick for my Sam Darnold today. 12 team super flex. Immediately rejected it and asked if he thought I was an idiot but how far off is he? What would actually be a reasonable trade for Darnold in my league. I countered for his DJ Moore which I know he won’t do but this is only my second year of dynasty so I want to know what you guys consider fair value in a situation like this. Basically no QBs on the waiver wire at this point, some kids starting WRs in the super flex spot.

Player Discussion How cooked would Carnell Tate be if the Titans take Jeremiah Smith

The Titans are so abysmal and don’t look like they have any hope atm. If Cam keeps playing how he’s been playing there most likely to get the #1 pick and if they take Jeremiah Smith how would that affect Tate’s outlook. It could be a rising tide helps all boats situation but it would suck if he was just a WR2 on an offense with future QB uncertainty

Player Discussion Breaking: Packers Runningback Josh Jacobs has filed a civil suit seeking a permanent injunction restricting access to records from his May 23rd altercation with a woman at his home, per Rob Demovsky.

I think the NFL should just set an example and call it wraps on this dudes career. Obviously he beat the shit out of her if he’s trying to cover up the video, he knows if he hit her once or slapped her or something it unfortunately wouldn’t be that big of a deal.

Now, for someone smarter than me, what are the odds this suit is successful and he hides the video? And if he does, what does that mean for his NFL future?

Player Discussion COLE PAYTON: immediate add

First off, prayers out to Jalen Hurts. I did not want Costco josh Allen to get on the field like this

-

But Hurts is out and Tanner is in. More importantly, this means Cole Payton is the backup QB. If tanner struggles, as we expect, the eagles might actually be playing Cole Payton soon.

-

Go look at his highlight reel

https://youtu.be/Jt1Zv55Fijg?si=VhP0L4iNTsDP2Pit

-

Yes, I know the competition was bad.

But this is ffb. Rushing QBs with a cannon arm are money.

-

I've been holding him since the day after the rookie draft in May. I have a feeling about this kid (not that this should be important to any one else lol). He could get on the field and be a league changing player.

-

It's a tiny chance...But he has an overall superflex #1 player ceiling. I realize this sounds absolutely insane... But it's true. Anyone with that much raw talent should be rostered in every superflex league.

-

Let's see what happens, folks.

Player Discussion Is Omarion Hampton not the most obvious buy low candidate in Dynasty FF?

Coming into this year Omarion was hyped to be one of the top RB’s in the league and his price point made him borderline unattainable. He was RB6 on PPG basis last season after Week 2, was outstanding in college, and had draft capital from a team and a coach that loves to run the ball.

At this point Hampton is rock bottom and not playing up to standards set by everyone. Not only is their a drop off in running production but also pass catching as well. Seen a bunch of comps online that are saying he’s Latavius Murray 2.0.

I think a large factor in his struggles is the zone run scheme from OC McDaniel who seems to be one bad loss away from getting canned. Even with his struggles, Hampton is still on pace for 1,040 Total Yards + 10 TDs.

Is Hampton worth the buy low or is he truly cooked?

Dynasty Theory How Do You Determine If Your Dynasty Team is a True Contender or a Paper Tiger?

Thumbnail rotostreetjournal.com

It's easy to get complacent with a 5-0 or 4-1 record right now. The best dynasty managers constantly audit their teams to find moves that set them up better for a playoff push. There are plenty of ways to audit your team. You can do it manually, use a website's tools, or ask for others to dissect your team for you.

For me, here's how I audit my teams:

  1. Schedule Luck & “Asterisk Standings” Stress Test
  2. The Positional Shelf Audit (Hoarding Value vs. Starting Points)
  3. The Injury & Bench Ledger Reality Check
  4. The Competitive Window & Age Runway Check
  5. The War Chest & Arbitrage Liquidity Test

In the linked article, I use one of my own dynasty teams as an example to show you how my process works for me. What's your process?

Player Discussion CJ Stroud's Future Outlook

Has anyone been buying Stroud after the MHJ trade?

I'm a Texans fan so I have my own biases about the situation but I haven't seen Stroud's Future discussed much here. I think this could be a signal that Stroud may be getting more volume moving forward, something he has been severely lacking even in his amazing rookie campaign.

You probably won't get a discount but you could buy before a drastic value increase.

Player Discussion Is Parker Washington better seen as a long term WR2 or WR1?

• Upvotes

He has yet to put together an entire season of elite play, with his breakout starting late last season and continuing into this one, so opinions on him while typically high vary. So, both ROS and going into 2027 and beyond, would you classify Washington more comfortably as a WR2 or a WR1? It seems he has the talent, but the targets keep him with a low ceiling

Player Discussion Thoughts on Kincaid Long Term?

Kincaid’s season start has been great.. but the most recent two games it seems like he’s back to the same boom-or-bust type player he is. I feel like there are a handful of players now I should start over him in a TEP league with insulated floors, not even the Bowers range but more even like Likely, Juwan, and even FREIERMUTH and STRANGE!…

Curious on how people view Kincaid in the long term. Obviously still young and shown the glimpses, but this Josh Allen / Bills offense doesn’t seem so TE friendly and stable.

Player Discussion Loveland - How’s everyone’s current POV?

Feel like young prospect TEs typically end up in two categories - being a true elite receiver with volume insulance (McBride, Kittle, Kelce, and Bowers) vs. a boom/bust type depending on matchup (Kincaid, etc.)

How do everyone view Loveland as a player in the long run? He did show elite productions when given the target share consistently, but with the bad luck he has been having with Caleb being out, feel it’s very hard to assess (where his dynasty value has been falling).

I’ve only watched football for a short while, so not an expert at evaluating TEs, so thought to ask the community!

Player Discussion This feels weird to say, but is Marshawn Lloyd actually a buy low now?

As a Packers fan I was fully out on Lloyd even with Jacobs being suspended due to his little production and our lack of an OL. However, over the past couple of weeks a few things have started to make me think he might be a buy at this point with most owners probably disappointed with his production so far.

  1. Josh Jacobs is most likely not coming back for a long time. It just keeps getting worse and worse, the NFL wants the video and won't make a decision without the video it seems. Jacobs party clearly doesn't want the NFL to get that video but it just seems like a stalemate for the moment with all signs pointing to this potentially being a most-of-season or all season thing.

  2. Lloyd has looked like the best Packers RB over the past couple of weeks despite the inefficiencies. He's getting all of the redzone carries, early down carries, and some work in the receiving game. Kaleb Johnson didn't get a carry against the Bears until half way through the fourth quarter.

  3. The Packers OL is improving, it was historically bad the first 4 weeks of the season, but the Packers have made some veteran additions to Bolster the line and make it closer to average(Zeitler, Becton, Tomlinson). The line looked much better this past week against the Bears (although still not great) and should hopefully be able to open some more running lanes.

Right now Lloyd is being valued around a third and I think for that price he is a reasonable buy for RB depth, I've liked what I've seen over the past couple of weeks even with the inefficiencies and while he's going to be somewhat touchdown dependent, he should have a solid role the rest of the season if he can continue with this momentum. There's also a non zero chance that he still has some usable weeks next year as well depending on where the Packers go at RB next year.

Also go watch his first touchdown run where he trucked a Bears DB and you'll see why I'm excited.

Player Discussion Dj Moore Dynasty discussion

What are your thoughts on Dj Moore’s value in dynasty ? His injury history and age are a bit troubling. He’s almost 30 years old and has suffered quite a few injuries over the course of his career. Being on a team with Josh Allen for the next few years definitely helps. It also doesn’t help that we only have gotten about 1-2 weeks of him actually healthy with Josh Allen this year.

Player Discussion Why did the Jets keep Breece? Should they have just moved forward with Braelon Allen?

Other than the Jets being the Jets, why did they decide to keep Breece?

I heard a lot of arguments about needing an elite RB for a rookie QB, but I don’t think that’s necessarily true. I’d argue having an elite oline and pass catchers is far more helpful to a developing QB.

Braelon Allen has shockingly proved he’s not bad. I would hope so since the Jets talked up their 3 headed monster of an RB room to no end last year. But I think that was mostly just garbage coach speak (all the RB’s did play a decent amount though last year when healthy).

I think if they could do it all over again, it really makes the most sense to have moved Breece. People were all split on this decision from both a dynasty and real life perspective.

Do you think it was the right move? I feel like Braelon Allen’s timeline aligns much better with a new young QB but that’s just me.

Player Discussion Im so close to dropping josh downs

• Upvotes

I know this is an over reaction but I am seriously considering dropping this guy. Constantly scoring 3-8 points. He has not eclipsed 15 fantasy points in his last 26 games, and when he did he scored 16. Hes every fantasy analysts favorite breakout every summer but never delivers. I know hes a damn good football player but it doesn’t translate to fantasy. Hed do me more good scoring 4.8 points in my opponents starting lineup. Nobody wants to trade for him. Obviously not dropping him but i might take a 3rd? He has talent but does anyone have an argument for keeping him around?

Player Discussion Pulse Check on WR4+ of the world - who are you investing in?

Checking in on your “guys” that have an opportunity to sneak up the rankings into a truly consistent startable or become a confident bye week placement - and on the flip side, whose hype are you not buying into and you believe will be a roster clogger moving forward? Talking about guys in the WR4+ range.

My guys are:
Tre Harris - is very slowly but steadily coming along and QJ sucks. I think a door opens up for him sooner than later.

Pat Bryant - has shown signs of his skillset and before he got hurt he looked like he was on the cusp of breaking into the next tier of guys

Stribling - I just thought he looked real solid in preseason and that roster is old

Pearsall - hes basically a rookie - I think he and Stribs take over as 1/2 in SF and both become quality flex to WR3s that you’ll feel good about playing each week

Tre Tucker - I just think he’s a pesky guy who just keeps showing up whether you like it or not. I doubt they add more than one other guy for next year and Mendoza can open it up when he takes over. A lot of attention will be on Bowers so I just feel like he’s an annoying guy who will boom bust as a poor man’s JaMo

Who are yalls speculative buys?

Player Discussion 27 Class Depth / Late 27 2 Value

Been keeping a watchful eye on how this 27 class develops, as of right now my interpretation is that this class may be extremely deep. Usually, late 2's have a pretty poor hit rate and are generally overpriced, but perhaps a historical class shifts the paradigm this year. For those how are big devy/college guys, how are you viewing these late 27 2's from the view of a normal strength class?

Any insights much appreciated!

Player Discussion Impact from Jalen Hurts’ injury

It appeared that Darius Cooper had a good rapport with Hurts. Any thoughts if with Hurts out, assuming Smith is still out, does Cooper take a hit? Lemon gets bumped up? Wicks up?

I think it might help Lemon. Not sure how the other receivers are impacted?

Also depends on whether Payton gets reps too.

League Discussion 14T Dynasty Bench Spots Assistance

This is my first year doing a Dynasty league and I originally set it up for 12 people but then I had 2 people ask to join a few days before draft so it's now at 14 people. I forgot to adjust the bench slots to accommodate more people.

The former rn is:

Start 10 - QB, RBx2, WRx3, TE, Flex, SFlex, K

Bench 16

IR 3

Taxi 2

Now people in the league has started to complain about lack of players on the waiver wire, which is fair tbh.

I proposed to reduce Bench slots from 16 -> 14 but some still think it's too much. What do yall think the sweet spot is for this format?

Thanks in advance!

Dynasty Theory Are Kyren and Puka sells?

Basically a Matt Stafford retirement question: what value do these guys have once Stafford is done? I think Puka is on a different team next year if Stafford retires and would still be fairly productive. Just trying to gauge what people think on this one for maximizing value. Additional context I’m 1-4 with a strong young core.
