Discussion I had a horrible rash for months. I dreamt about the cause before I knew what it was.

So I had been suffering from an AWFUL rash from August til October. It was unbearably itchy and covered mostly my entire body. I was absolutely miserable. People told me hives so that’s what I thought it was. But antihistamines didn’t help.

In September I had this dream. I was in bed and was waking up in a room I didn’t recognize, on a high level floor. I looked down and noticed something covering the sheets- opaque larvae/worm looking things. You could see through them. Inside them was something blueish/purple. In the dream I KNEW it was my own blood. I started panicking, smashing all of the larvae to kill them.

I had no idea what this dream meant until the other day, when I discovered a tick embedded into my foot. I got it out and started researching tick rashes. I came across some articles about lone star tick larvae (common where I live) rashes- and suddenly it clicked for me- THAT was what I had been suffering from all this time. The photos looked identical to my rash.

After that, the itchiness and rash began to go away.

I find it absolutely fascinating that my subconscious brain was able to know what my body was going through- before I consciously could figure it out.

Has anybody had a similar dream experience???

Nightmare Apocalyptic Nightmare

Just woke up from a more of a nightmare, feeling extremely anxious and stressed.

Basically, I dreamt that I was watching the news, and there was some kind of world ending event that was going to happen. The world leaders had decided the best thing to do was end it for us all before the world ending event. They had a “Project” (there was a name for it I don’t remember) where they were going to just gas us all out on a certain date. I sort of woke up in the nightmare, and was like “oh that can’t have been real” and then googled it, and it was still real. I couldn’t find the date anywhere that it was due to happen, and I started to panic. I was googling clips of streamers (vanillamace and Hasanabi were the two that appeared) to see their reactions, and they were so sad and also couldn’t believe it. I started feeling so anxious, wondering if there was any way out of it, and how maybe it wouldn’t really happen even though all signs pointed to it happening. I started thinking about how I would have to say goodbye to my family, I was in genuine disbelief.

I woke up to my alarm feeling super anxious, and genuinely not knowing if it was real or not for a little bit, got my phone instantly while still half asleep and looked up the news.

What on earth does any of this mean, and why did it feel so real?

Nightmare just had a crazy nightmare

• Upvotes

so if you’re familiar with the terrifier movies i have been having a dream that’s basically similar in plot, but the entity is different for the most part. it’s been a while since i had them last, but tonight i had a long one. it started off with me and my friend D talking about where we’re from and being in my house and planning a hang out, while we were talking about this i got a deep sense of darkness in the dream, i went outside and it was a sunset, and i think i got this almost biblical feeling about something crazy happening and then the entity arrived to my house and tried to enter my room where other friend and pets were, they did get some friends unfortunately, but we ended up stopping it somehow (don’t remember how exactly) but it ended up injuring me. so i hid in the bathroom for a second, then i had a flashback of something my dad did with my sister. however they were in another city at the time, but it seems they were partying. after this moment the dream flashes back to us being okay and in my room, after this i got a call from the entity instead this time. and they arrived yet again but i managed to protect myself spiritually somehow this time, and that’s pretty much how the dream ended

Dream about Satan in the bottomless pit

Went to sleep sick last night and had a wild string of dreams, but in this one Satan was thrown under the earth, but instead of a dragon he looked like an angel guy, and a heavy chain was wrapped around his foot and he fell into a huge wet black cavern

The chain sunk into the ground in the cavern and he was yanked through the floor and was pulled into what looked like heaven when the rebellion was about to start, and the chain sunk into the ground again and he was yanked into another old memory

So I guess the bottomless pit had levels and for a thousand years he was forced to live through all his memories and see all the shit he did. I never thought of it like that

So yea my mind went on a thirteen-hour-long theological frenzy last night and I wasn't awake for it

Nightmare White room nightmare

Post image

Image created with AI to try and help explain my dream. Sorry if you don’t like AI…

I’ve had this nightmare ever since I can remember… it still comes up every once in a while. It’s just a white room like the image attached… I always find myself looking around for a minute, trying to get a grasp of what’s happening to me. Then, as I walk around, the space seems to get smaller but not at the same time. I feel very confused for a while, and then I get severely overstimulated. I either wake up there or start to try and get away from something that isn’t there, almost like there’s an actual entity projecting those feelings onto me, and I need to get away from them. There’s never anything there, and the room always stays the same size. I always wake up feeling overwhelmed, confused, and overstimulated.

Long Dream I have nightmares every night, but this was something different and felt like Sleep Paralysis, can anyone help me break down the meaning of this or help me understand?

I was told by the nightmares sub to post this here, really really curious because this was WAY outside the norm for me. I had my standard recurring (every night almost) nightmare about nuclear war, aliens visiting, a giant flood, and me being tricked into going to jail, I have these almost every single night and I have adapted to these dreams. At the end of this dream, I realize I'm dreaming, and I wake myself up. I'm awake, but as soon as I open my eyes, my vision gets incredibly blurry, and I can't move at all. I feel something coming, and since I'm sleeping on the couch the front door is literally right behind where my head is. As I can't move, I feel a presence, very tall, stoic even, come into my house, I start to panic, but can't move at all. I feel him run something across the back of my neck, and I feel blood running down the back of my neck. I believe he collects the blood and then he slowly walks out the door. Seconds later, I get my movement back and I start running around the house crying. THEN I wake up, for real. Was this sleep paralysis? I have not once in my life EVER had a dream this realistic to the point I genuinely thought it was real life. Was this SP or just a really bad nightmare?

Short Dream A dream about Jesus

I had this dream on October 11, around 5AM in the morning, so I thought I share with you all about this.

An hour ago, I opened up checking messages after I had just dealt with my grandmother from her early morning to use the bathroom. Doom-scrolling, I began to felt sleepy again and so on, I fell sleep.

In my heart while I was asleep, I felt unworthy, sinful, and like I was unworthy of being saved by Lord. The dream shifts into ransacking a temple, similar to the raid of Troy, but we were told to worship an idol at the left side. But I had not realise that there was no imagery at the altar which represents the Lord at the right. One person declared openly he will not worship the idol but the Lord himself above, his name was Samuel in that dream (God has heard). Similar to the events of Daniel and the Furnace, the other soldiers heard, and drew us out of the temple to be burned alive. I told myself, even if the Lord does not save me, I would have still worshiped God and showed that we did not bow down to his idols. We sat in front of the soldiers, and I heard Samuel beside me looked behind him on a wall, saying, “I shall destroy the son of man”. I asked myself, “Destroy? Isn’t the son of man, Jesus? Why would you destroy the son of man?”

As I looked behind me, I was surprised there was a crucifix. Then the crucifix manifested itself into two versions of Jesus. The crucified version, and the resurrected version. Both sat down beside me. I had doubts at first, because I did not take imagery lightly and yet, in that dream, as if it told me that I shouldn’t take it too seriously and so I did. The resurrected version of Jesus briefly looked at me then forward, holding my right hand. The crucified version of Jesus, rested his head on my back that I could feel the weight of his head and held my left hand, and I could not see his face. The textures of each hands were vastly different, the crucified version had a firm and rough yet grounding grasp on my left, while the resurrected version held a gentle grasp of my right.

Overwhelmed with emotion, I broke down to tears. As if the Lord himself was telling me, He has heard my heart and that He always cares deeply about me. I could not believe it myself, because to be sitting at two versions of Jesus, both crucified and resurrected version feels like an honor. A deep sense of trust from the Lord. Then I slowly woke up, eyes full of tears as if my heart was weary and broken to a profound degree of peace and warmth

Dream Art Literally Just Woke Up From a Nightmare, Genuinely Why is the Architecture So Weird

Post image
12 Upvotes

I've had these kinds of nightmares since I was little: Trying to find my house but I can't find it no matter what.

Picture this: in the middle of the night, midnight, in a sub-urbs like place, has a little bit of Californian-inspired architecture (I don't live remotely close to CA). You're for whatever reason an adult female short dressed in her pyjamas and walking on a neighbourhood road barefoot. You're trying to find your house but you can't. Your GPS on your phone keeps bringing you to the wrong address and you stop here. You can't read the numbers but it's not your house. This place doesn't even resemble where you actually live at all, you're just trying to find a house that says "25" written on it. The building in front of you is weird, it has black checkers on it, is it bricks or what? Not sure but it's really weird and close to the actual house you presume. It's connected somehow by a small sliver at the top but in between that is a black fence and some grass from the small hill it stands on. In the shadow emerges a large brown haired man in a dark blue T-Shirt that looks like it just barely fits him so on first glance it's fine. He's approaching you and you get a weird vibe from him and move on towards the left to do another swoop of the neighbourhood, in the dark, in the loop.

The dream ends.

I genuinely just woke up from this dream and drew this immediately. Dream happened 30 mins ago and immediately started drawing. I love how I typically draw really cutesy animal stuff but you can tell it's a dream in which I saw stuff since it's as realistic as I can get it.

Also does anyone elses' dreams look like it's Ai generated? 😭 I just find it so funny because my brain is generating these horrible looking places and it's so inconsistent lmao.

~ Please do not steal/copy/trace/feed my art to Ai, thanks! ~ 🩵
(Idk why would you, this looks ass to my other work haha!)

I always had dreams of faces really really big and up close when I was a kid. Anybody else?

They weren’t of anybody I knew and they were usually older and male. They weren’t necessarily negative or scary…they would have been otherwise forgettable if the face didn’t take up my entire field of vision. They were always talking, but if I understood what they were saying, I don’t remember. The most distinct thing about these dreams is they gave my teeth the same feeling they get when I think about bubble gum. I’m just curious if anybody shared these or maybe I’m a huge freak.

Question Why do we sometimes dream about things we have absolutely no clue about, only to find out later that they're actually true?

Just like the maggot thing I posted about last time, I've had a few dreams that still make me wonder how my brain even came up with them.

I once had a nightmare about my mom sleeping with my uncle (my dad's brother). When I woke up, I was so disgusted and confused about why I'd even dream about something like that.

Years later, I actually caught my mom having an affair with our housekeeper. The thing is, I think I might have had that dream while the affair was already going on, even though I only found out about it years later. Our housekeeper had been living with us since I was a toddler, so I think the affair had been going on for a long time before I caught them. What's crazy is that I had absolutely no clue anything was happening when I had that dream.

I also once dreamt that one of my friends wasn't the biological daughter of the man she called her father. It was such a random thing to dream about, but later on, I found out that she and her father had different surnames, and she was using her biological father's surname.

It's honestly so weird to think about how I dreamt about these things without consciously knowing anything about them.

How does this even happen?

Question Vivid dream about the most beautiful person I’ve never met

Has anyone ever had a dream like that? I woke up feeling sad, knowing I could never have her back. Seriously in love with this person my subconscious created, doesn’t exist at all, a figment of my imagination. Trippy as hell. It’s one I don’t remember going through before

Question Do you feel pain in your dreams similarly to real life? And if not, is the feeling substitited by a different one?

Just like the title says, I've always been curious how it is for other people. For me it is replaced by a sensation like I'm falling or being tickled which is also unpleasant but at least not really painful.

Had a dream in which I was chased by a small, tailless dog-looking creature in a movie theater-looking alleyway, so I concentrated my mind on it, created an energy beam, and sent it towards the ceiling, where it burst through.

Nightmare Bro I had the wildest dream about clavicular

• Upvotes

I just remembered it now I think I had it yesterday so the details are a bit fuzzy

I dreamed he organized a house party where everyone was naked and stuff. That looks like the kind of thing he would do And he was streaming the whole thing on kick. And on kick he wasn't showing the sensitive parts of nakedness of course. The camera was cutting just above the waist so we couldn't see anything. But I was looking at it like both through the stream and real life. And he was trynna talk to girls and stuff he was basically the one organizing and welcoming people and all.

And time skip I see him in bed having sex with a girl And it was like in doggy then he had a huge shlong long till his knees and then i Don't remember what happened after.

Crazy how far our minds can take us

Dream Help Endless labyrinth dream?

So this is actually my first Reddit post ever after I swore to myself I would never interact with this website more than taking a gander at what some communities are up to BUT here we are lol.

When I was 13-14 maybe, I can't remember the day that I slept on so it must've not been important. But I remember entering some sort of realm that began in a white room, and in front of me was a rectangular crevice that lead to the next white room, so I crawled through it like a cave diver before entering an endless staircase. This staircase was spherical in the way it elevated, similar to the Statue of Liberty's, dark, and you could hear the echoing sounds of the metal creaking endlessly. As you looked up, you'd notice more and more rectangular openings that all lead to like a different dimension. Two of these I was familiar with before I awoke with a severe panic attack, both having something to do with hallways: An old hotel hallway, red carpet, wooden doors and a slowly worse and worse sense of doom along with an eerie rise of some sort of sound, along with a facility, metal floors, bright white ceiling lights (the kind that are built into the ceiling instead of hanging) but unlike the hotel, I was able to actually walk. As I took a few steps the hallway lead left, when I turned, it was a longer hallway with metal doors. The door closest to me then suddenly opened and that was when I woke up, panicked.

The reason why this dream stood out to me the most was because of how articulated it was. I also could actually remember it fully instead of only remembering some of it then just forgetting halfway through the day. My brain tends to spare me of nightmares if they ever get too scary, to which it will force me awake if I ever encounter anything that genuinely frightens me. So if my brain only wakes me up during encounters, why did it force me to awaken as SOON as that metal door opened? What was waiting for me?

I also want to say that I've never had a geometric dream ever, like 100% positive. But I'm also curious if those rectangular crevices I was referring to had something to do with it? But has anyone ever experienced something similar or can relate at all?

Nightmare ‘Nightmare Me’

A few years ago, around 2021-2022, i used my imagination while I was still pretty young and thought that I had 2 little me’s in my head, one was ‘Good dream Me’ and ‘Nightmare Me’ and every time I had laid down in my bed I had always told Nightmare me to stay away from my brain and not give me nightmares so Good dream me could make me feel more refreshed when I woke up and I wouldn’t wake up in the middle of the night scared, and every time I did have a nightmare, I would somewhat punish Nightmare me by shaking my head around which I guess would fling Nightmare me around the walls of my brain? It’s kinda confusing to explain. I had this go on for around a week or two, but one night, something changed, of course like I had said to Nightmare me a bunch of times already to not give me nightmares, he rebelled. I was in a nightmare, I had no idea at first because I thought I had woken up in my room, until I saw him. The real Nightmare me standing in the corner of my room, he looked exactly like me, but he had no color whatsoever, he was just completely light grey, he stood there smiling in a non-human way, I screamed in horror that this could be my end, next second I get hit with a flash of light, and he was gone, the hallway was lit up and he was standing at the end, I got up from my bed to confront him, i ran towards him as fast as I could, the next second he teleported right in front of me, grabbed me by my arms, and head-butted me back to my bed, where I actually woke up in my room, bright as day. I was terrified. It took me a good 30 minutes to understand what the hell just happened. From that day on I swore I would never pretend that there were little people in my brain again, because I don’t want my imagination taking over me, not after last time.

Short Dream Something said “It looked like Jesus Christ being crucified”

This is another dream I had years ago as well. I remember seeing only below the knees someone being crucified and I didn’t get the chance to raise my head to see who this person was.

All I saw was the bare feet of a man or maybe a woman with a nail like you would find used in constructing a railroad track drove through both of there feet.

I then heard a voice, maybe my own but it was never made clear whom was speaking and it said “It looked like Jesus Christ being crucified.”

Then I woke up.

I don’t know what this means and if it could be a sign I would see or perhaps already saw someone going through something that would evoke the idea that what I was seeing of a persons life could “Look like Jesus Christ being crucified”

Short Dream Rainbow and Northern Lights in a Dream

I had a long dream last night, and it was Christmas in my dream. Before I got to talk to my friends, I had a misunderstanding with a schoolmate because I accidentally took her Christmas tree. We were assigned to make our own Christmas trees, and I genuinely thought the one I took was mine. Eventually, we cleared things up and apologized to each other, but I still felt a little sad afterward.

Later, while I was talking with my friends inside the house, one of them told me that tonight was special because the stars had been in the same positions since morning and there were lot. She showed me a photo on her phone of thousands of stars scattered across the sky. I told her I wanted to see them for myself, so I went outside.

But instead of seeing the stars, I saw a rainbow. I was so surprised because it was nighttime, and I had never expected to see a rainbow in the dark. I excitedly called my friends over to look at it. As they approached me, I turned back toward the sky, and that's when I saw something even more breathtaking—the northern lights appearing right beside the rainbow.

Why do some people have extremely vivid dreams while others barely dream at all?

I’ve always wondered why some people seem to have incredibly vivid, detailed dreams, sometimes with realistic conversations, places, people and emotions, while other people say they rarely dream or only experience vague fragments.

Mine seem so intense i confuse it with real life.
