Am I crazy to be super worried about fps instead of cosmetics?
I do love cosmetics and bougth all the overvalued s*. But common, the game is not working at an aceptable rate: low fps, huge stutter, crashes everywhere.
Wtf is happening....

Hey guys,
As the title says, I would need some advice on some things that I think I could improve - not necessarily to win games, but to have a higher chance of winning them.
I'm playing mainly pos1. I'm sticking as much as possible to this role. Sometimes it takes a lot of time to queue so I switch to 123, which is a mistake in my opinion.
My main heroes (for pos1) are:
Melee: PA, AM, LS, Jugg, Spec, Sven (mainly in this order)
Ranged: WR, Drow, TA, SF, Weaver, TB (in this order).
1 have a few questions, things that I don't understand.
I know everything is situational (based on what heroes/lanes the enemy has, their itemization etc.) but let's start:
First, not sure 100% when to pick melee carry and when to pick ranged carry.
In a situation where I have last pick, and I see their carry (ex PL), I can try to pick some Sven, LS to counter it. Mostly I don't get last pick, my midlaner does. So I choose something that 1) counters their current lineup (supports) 2) that's generally versatile (such as WR), and 3 (that has something my team lacks (ex: we don't have aoe clear, I pick Sven / we don't have physical damage, I pick Drow, TA, TB...).
Second, I'm aware there are specific faming patterns for carries, you circle around your triangle and farm (if that area is 1. secured with observers, 2. safe to farm - you see the enemy in the opposite side of the map), but still I feel my farm speed is slow. Yes, I'm sometimes using Sven's ult on creeps. I'm using Meta to farm quickly with TB. Usually my team doesn't stack, or if this happens, it's around 1 in 10 games probably. So I usually try to be at the ancient camps around :50 seconds, so I can stack them at :53. Any advice here as well?
Third, I know I need to play around my power spikes (lvl 6, if I have a good ult, or when Meta is up, or when I get my items, such as BKB). Also, I'm trying as much as possible to TP whenever I feel like I can contribute to a fight near our towers and jump a few of them (let's say I have AM and I see one enemy support 10% mana, and he's diving - then I might tp). Sometimes, if I have a huge creep wave in front of me, I might ignore the fight and take it (not sure if this is the best approach).
There are numerous other things that I feel like I'm lacking, such as positioning in fights (for example with TB, yes I press Meta, I have 1-2 illusions with me and I start going into them) but I feel it's mostly a random positioning, and not the most efficient one.
Also, if this helps you a bit, I kinda like to play active and carries that fight a lot (like PA), usually I go into a fight, press bkb and start jumpin on each of them (starting with squishy supports, while ignoring their tankiest hero, if we don't have enough burst to bring them down). I'm also making sure their supports have no escape item/mechanish (euls/glimmer/blink etc) otherwise my impact in that fight is not the best.
I can share some replays with different heroes, if you would like to analyze them. Otherwise, any sort of advice regarding farming/laning (if I lose a lane and need to recover jungle), positioning in fights, itemization, and most importantly what type of carry should I get, melee or ranged, would be highly appreciated.
Thanks,
F

Just had an ES use his W to steal a creep or two every wave. He just pulled every wave and stayed full hp while I was getting harassed by two heroes and had to ferry out regen. Like he would just walk up to a creep I'm clearly going to LH and he slams it with his W. I told him 3 times politely and he still wouldn't stop. I'm already trying to LH with two heroes trying to deny/harass me why make it even more difficult?
My question is what's the point of tilting your carry so much he goes to the jungle at level 4 and you proceed to lose the game in 20 minutes?
ES went arcane boots->blink->crystalis so i guess he wanted to carry idk.

Seriously we have largo flair but no ringmaster? My favorite psychopathic circus owner needs some love it's already bad he gets slandered so much on this sub for being a "lame design"(he's NOT) and on top of that he doesn't get a flair at all while newer heroes do? I subject those guys to become dark carnival performers!

Recently played a game as troll vs PL. Everytime PL rushed me, I used my ulti and I seem to always catch the real PL. Am I just lucky with my right clicks or does troll automatically go for the real PL in the crowd of illusions, when under his ult?

Don't let one match or one person ruin your rest of the day.

Hello everyone, I would like to propose a more ethical and fair approach to how MMR is gained or lost based on the context of the match:
Match duration mitigation: If a game lasts over 40/50/60 minutes, it proves it was highly balanced and both teams fought hard.
Losing a 60-minute marathon shouldn't cost the same as losing a 20-minute stomp.
MMR loss should be scaled down. This would aleo motivate players to never give up.
Leaver/Griefling protection (Solo): It is deeply unfair to lose full MMR because a teammate abandons after 15 minutes or starts griefing.
If someone fets an official Abbandon, they should absorb a heavier MMR penalty, while the remaining solo teamated should be fully protected or lose a bare minimum.
To prevent abuse, this protection should not apply to party members of the leaver.
MVP Incentive: The MVP award should have a real competitive impact. The MVP of the winning team should get a bonus (+MMR). If someone gets MVP on the losing team, their MMR should be preserved.
What do you think? Wouldn't this make the matchmaking environment much less toxic?

I was surfing through my old videos and found this clip of me running Dota 2 hero demo using steam link app.
Game was very difficult to play with touchscreen and on screen buttons were useless. I should have tried using BT mouse. Maybe in future we well will have dota 2 mobile port.
Can I buy a new treasure like "Trove of Wonders", that the only prize is: GETTING MY FPS from 2 weeks ago BACK?
From other comments, a new GPU wont do it for u.

I'm having the issue with self-casting while using quickcast.
I copied Topson's keybind settings when I started playing, so I'm used to using QWERDF for abilities and Alt + QWEASD for item slots. I also have quickcast enabled for both abilities and items, and I'd prefer not to change my current keybinds because I'm already comfortable with them.
The problem is that whenever I hold down Alt to use an item, it conflicts with self-casting. For example, I can't properly self-cast Invoker's Cataclysm or use items like Eul's Scepter and Glimmer Cape on myself without running into the keybind conflict.
I've tried looking for a solution, but most suggestions seem to involve changing the item hotkeys or using Alt as a self-cast modifier instead.
My question is: Is there any way to solve this conflict without changing my current keybinds? Also, how do players like Topson manage self-casting with Alt as their item modifier? Is there a specific setting or workaround that I'm missing?
I'd appreciate any help!

If You Say racist SLURS in Voice chat You still have voice chat 2 days after. If you start discussing about bad plays and bad builds bad playstyles in text chat ( no swearing, MBY just flaming) next day you can't even draw on minimap
This is not ok
