Personal Shopper Coast-to-Coast Personal Shopper Megathread

3 Upvotes

Welcome to our weekly Personal Shopper Megathread!

Looking for a park-exclusive drop, trying to finish a mystery set, or hunting down a coast-specific release? Use this thread to connect with verified/trusted personal shoppers operating directly out of Disneyland Resort (CA) and Walt Disney World (FL).

How This Thread Works

  • Shoppers: Leave a top-level comment detailing your availability, fees/rates, payment methods, and which parks/locations you visit (Disneyland, DCA, WDW Parks, Disney Springs, etc.).
  • Buyers: Reply directly to a shopper's comment AND send them a DM.

Disneyland vs. Disney World Pickups

  • Disneyland Resort (CA): Best for West Coast exclusives, California Adventure/Avengers Campus pins, Downtown Disney releases, and West Coast Limited Editions.
  • Walt Disney World (FL): Best for EPCOT Festival pin sets, Disney Springs mega-drops, Resort Hotel exclusives, and multi-park broad releases.

Subreddit Guidelines & Reminders

  1. Differentiate Coast Services: Shoppers, please clearly state whether you cover Disneyland, Disney World, or both.
  2. Transparency: Shoppers must state their pick-up fee or markup structure clearly when messaging buyers.
  3. Safety: Always use secure payment methods that offer buyer/seller protection (e.g., PayPal Goods & Services).

Shoppers, post your availability below! Buyers, DM your wishlist items to your preferred shopper! And remember: Goods and Services payments only! This protects not only the buyer but the seller, too!

Mod Post Community Update: New Subreddit Rules & Keeping r/DisneyPins Great!

61 Upvotes

Hey everyone!

As our community continues to grow, the mod team has been looking at ways to keep r/DisneyPins a fun, welcoming, and organized space for all collectors. Our goal is simple: we want this subreddit to be the absolute best place on Reddit to share, trade, and chat about Disney pins!

To help streamline the feed and focus on what makes pin collecting so great—the art, the collections, the trades, and the community—we’ve updated our subreddit rules.

Here is a summary of the major changes:

  • No Valuation, Appraisal, or "Worth Check" Posts: Requests asking for pin pricing, market value, or audience interest (e.g., "How much are my pins worth?", "Do I have anything valuable?", or "Is anyone interested in these?") are no longer allowed and will be removed.
  • No posts asking questions/comments about how to obtain a pin on Tuesday Pin Drops or otherwise circumvent the official Disney Parks rules. We are not here to help flippers obtain product to resell. We are here to help collectors expand on their collections.

We know people are often curious about what they have, but removing appraisal threads helps keep the main feed clean and focused on collection show-offs, news, and trading.

Thank you all for being such an awesome community and helping us make r/DisneyPins a fantastic home for pin traders everywhere. If you have any feedback or questions, feel free to drop them in the comments below or message modmail!

Happy trading!

Please be safe out there when buying Hidden Mickey packs from people online!

I’ve seen this technique being done by CM’s at their registers and also see them feeling up the packs! Try and buy from someone you know and trust.

Happy trading! ✨

Found this pin from my glory days as an AMC employee. Not the biggest Star Wars aficionado so genuinely curious on the outlook for these. Pins have been magically coming into our life as of late, posted about a 1998 Magic Kingdom set a couple months back. Thanks again to the community for the warm welcome 🙌🏽

Question??? Halloween Pins

2 Upvotes

is it true that the halloween themed pins are only available if you have halloween party tickets? like they aren’t in the parks any other time of the Halloween season? Cast member at hotel just said Halloween themed pins are only during the party. Was hoping to find the mystery halloween cat/dog pack for my kid (which maybe these are all sold out at this point)

I just recently got into Disney Pins and after learning a few tells I was able to identify some fakes I had picked up. But, with these specific pins I am unable to tell if they’re real or fake?

Do any of these pins look legit? If not, can you tell me how you know? Thank you for all the help!

Discussion Has Pin & Pop VIP helped you find your ISOs?

5 Upvotes

Have people who paid for Pin & Pop VIP found it worth it? I'm thinking that since there are so many people using the platform, there might be more opportunities to find ISOs via the Trade arcades. Having VIP seems like it could help with that. I've traded without VIP and have had limited success completing trades, but I have found a few ISOs this way.

Has anyone felt they had success purchasing the VIP plan and hosting a trade table? Debating if it is worth upgrading ahead of the happy haunts trade arcade event next weekend! Thanks for the advise!

Back in 2005 we went to Disney for my one and only trip as a kid, today I was looking through old stuff and found the surviving pins. Lots of memories here. I remember having another Darth Vader pin that I traded for the Mickey head.

In Search Of (ISO) NFS 94-95 Muppets the the Ice NHL collection

Post image
11 Upvotes

I recently just discovered this existed. I knew there was one explicitly that I wanted. Is that what I stumbled into when I started looking? No. Of course not. So here I am, trying to complete this 52(ish?) pin set from the 90's. There were 26 teams represented, each with a character assigned, and they came in two sizes; one was more commonly seen in McDonald's where there was an NHL/Muppet plush collection being marketed in Canada, while the other was used in game day giveaways and other merchandising opportunities. The enamel colors and back stamps are not consistent across the sizes and there may even be a few where there are different characters for each team. Did I know any of this before I started? No. Does that matter now? lol I'm doing it anyway I guess.

I would appreciate any leads if someone happens to see or have any, particularly if they are Hartford Whalers and Quebec Nordiques. I have a small trade collection I can leave in a comment but I would be willing to purchase reasonably priced individuals or sets. These are for my personal collection, so I'm not so concerned about condition. Obviously I would prefer they still look nice, but I wouldn't be trying to sell this so they don't need to be perfect. As silly as it sounds, I feel really connected to this. It's one of those fun crossover things that does a little inner-child healing or something. I dunno.

Also note: I'm not located in Canada if that matters for mail trades or other shipping purposes. US-based.

Trading Only ISO Keyblade Pins for Trade

Hi everyone! I posted the other day about looking for Keyblade pins. I would really like either Lady Luck or Divine Rose, but at this point I'd just at least like one as they're all so gorgeous and Kingdom Hearts is my favorite game series of all time. I am posting my collection to see if anyone is interested. I unfortunately realize some of my pins I've traded for are fakes, but I have a lot of purchased ones that I think someone might be interested in. Thanks for looking!

Trading Only First Disneyland Trip after Frontierland Closure

Thumbnail

We go down to Disneyland 2–3 times a year, and this was our first trip to the parks since the Frontierland pin trading changes.

We originally started pin trading as a way to keep our son occupied and give him something to do while resting, allowing our older girls to go on rides.

After the 70th key release he decided he wanted to go down the D collecting route (We had previously picked up Mickey & Tiki in 2019 and Pirate Mickey in 2021).

Over three days, my son found 15 D’s on boards, lanyards, and through trivia. He could have found 20+ if he hadn’t been encouraging kids in front of him to grab D’s for traders on the kids’ boards. He only took 3 from kids’ boards / kids’ trading boxes (Timothie, Louisa, and Lucky) as they didn’t have the board due to rain on Sunday.

Highlighted in yellow on the photo: What he found

Highlighted in green on the photo : What he traded for using other D’s he found

His finds:

* (2) Marie

* (3) Lucky

* (1) Hades

* (2) Belle

* (1) Tweedle

* (2) Louisa

* (1) Simba

* (1) Koda

* (1) Jacques

* (1) Timothie

Some of the trades he made:

* Found Tweedle → traded for Gus

* Found Hades → traded for a Toon Town D

* Found Lucky + Louisa → traded for a Jungle Cruise D

* Found Koda (with additional bundled pins) → traded for Wendy + an additional pin

He also started collecting the headbands. I had purchased a bundle of 2026 wave A traders on Facebook to use as traders, but he ended up wanting to collect the entire set.

Pink = what he traded for with other guests.

* Belle D → Steamboat Willie headband

* Lucky + Louisa D’s → Aurora headband (not pictured)

Green = what he found on boards/ trivia.

I also had my 11-year-old niece with us, and she decided to start collecting, too. She started with 10 traders and left with 10 authentic Haunted Mansion/Nightmare pins she traded for.

For me, the best part of this experience wasn’t the pins themselves. It was the interactions.

The organic nature of seeing someone with a pinfolio or lanyard, approaching them, starting a conversation, and asking to trade was such a great experience for my 12-year-old. Those are genuine social interactions that might not have happened otherwise.

We’ve also tried to teach the kids that trading isn’t about winning every transaction or getting the most valuable pin. It’s about helping people build their collections and finding things that make them happy.

They gave away 10+ pins to people who were just starting their collections and didn’t have traders my kids were interested in. We want them to understand that if they find something they absolutely love on a board or through trivia for their personal collection, they should leave something behind that someone else will enjoy just as much. Only to leave authentic pins that others will love.

The change to Frontierland trading ended up creating some incredible interactions for our family that we wouldn’t have had otherwise. From that perspective, we really enjoyed the experience and appreciated what it gave the kids.

That said, I still 100% agree that Disney selling hundreds of thousands of dollars’ worth of pins every day while limiting opportunities to trade them is baffling.

My son wasn’t able to add many new pirate pins to his collection because of the lack of large binders. Trading is a huge part of the hobby, and I wish Disney would find a better balance between its new system and the collecting community.

P.S.

If anyone wants to know the future dates for the hidden Disney releases, apparently you just need to look at our travel calendar. Wave A and Wave B both followed the same pattern this year. My prediction? The next release will be the Tuesday after we fly home from our trip.
