One on One (M4M) My never ending USSR search! NSFW

irl gender is unimportant to me

It is 1989 and the collapse of the Soviet Union is a few years away. Conditions are not great, not terrible. Many people leave for other countries (UK, USA, Other European Countries), this where your character meets Dimitri Petrovich Vasiliev. A Soviet expat now living in (TBD). he is a 20 year old artist who hopes to someday be recognized among the greats. Dimitri is also gay and living in a time, coming from a country that frowned upon said reality. Arriving with family and the burdens that come with a family. He is the main breadwinner.

Hi everyone I am Jude! I am a 29 year old trans guy from California USA. I have been roleplaying for 15+ years and I love history! I have been known to break the discord limit and my proffered platform is discord.

I don't expect you to know much about the history, I won't ask that you name every historical figure but I hope for some reality.

\*\\Honestly\\\ I'm just looking for an excuse to play my dear Dimitri. He seems very intense but is in reality a big softy with parental issues and internalized homophobia. ****I am pretty much willing to play him in any scenario***, I do love me some historical drama.

A bit more about how I rp/what I hope:

I do not fade to black, I hope for romance

I have no interest in furries or scalies etc

Pinterest boards and a shared spotify playlist

I do like to translate some spoken words into russian, but I have no problem not doing that.

Preferably not set in the United States but I am flexible on that. (I'm just sick of this place!)

Some heavy topics and darker themes, drugs, smoking, etc etc. Everything can be discussed.

✨✨Vibes✨✨ I live and breathe small town vibes, spooky vibes, sad boy vibes, anger issues. Small town, a small town you can't escape emotionally. The overwhelming fear of being caught. Being an outsider, lying to yourself and the people you love most.

Please just let me play my Sad Soviet Boy.

One on One [A4A] looking for rp partner(s)! 18+

my name is tobi, i'm 21, and my timezone is CST. it's okay if you're in a different timezone, just let me know so we can make it work lolol.

first and foremost, before anything, i am a trans guy (he/him), and some of my ocs are going to be trans. so you have to be okay with that if we're going to proceed.

i am only looking for a partner who is 18+. if you are below 18 i do not want to rp with you! i am an adult!

i have been rping for years (like almost 10 years off and on, but mostly on). i write in and prefer my partners to also write in a literate style. i will only write in 3rd person and expect my partner to do the same. length of my replies tend to vary based on what's going on in the plot, but i typically will write multiple paragraphs if i can. the password is kiwi. include the password to prove you're actually reading lol

i work a lot and struggle with motivation sometimes, but i will definitely make some time:)

i love romance plotlines/subplots, so that's a must for me.

at this moment i am mostly looking for fandom/oc x canon. i'm not picky about interps i just genuinely enjoy it.

i double up. i'm not exactly comfortable with anything else. it's not out of obligation, i really just love other people's ocs and i think it's more fun that way.

your pairing can be whatever you'd like, but mine will be tm4m.

**fandoms i'm actively looking to rp:**

- genshin impact

- overwatch

- the walking dead

- the pitt

- my chemical romance (danger days if you're not into rpf!!)

- gravity falls

• i'm into SO much more. if there's anything you're looking for not on this list, feel free to reach out and ask!

i only rp on discord.

what you get from me!

- i love talking ooc, about our characters especially, but also friendly banter or whatever. i love making friends and being close with someone makes rping better/more fun for me! willingness to talk ooc is a must :)

- i'm very flexible, schedule wise and plot wise. if you have an idea or want to change anything at any point, let me know and we can work on it, and vise versa.

- communication- i love communication. if i'm unavailable, i will try to let you know.

come with plots, please!

i prefer to plan things out extensively in advance just so i know what to write and how to respond to things! it's more fun that way for me, personally. i hate jumping straight into an rp, so please don't try to make me do that.

i think that's everything... if i missed anything and you have more questions/are interested, let me know!

thank you so much!

One on One [F4M] Looking for a Dark Omegaverse Romance | Fated Mates, Possessive Alphas & Slow Burns NSFW

Hey everyone! I'm looking for a male writing partner interested in a detailed, long-term Omegaverse roleplay with dark romance elements, fated mates, possessive Alphas, forced proximity, and plenty of emotional tension.

I love stories featuring powerful, protective, morally gray Alphas and female characters with their own personalities, motivations, and reasons to resist them. Give me slow burns, complicated bonds, dangerous circumstances, emotional reunions, and characters who find themselves falling for someone they never expected to want.

I'm hoping to develop one of these concepts into a longer story with approximately 10 substantial scenes, allowing plenty of room for character development, external conflicts, and a romance that develops naturally.

Here are the three ideas I'd love to explore!

1. Seventy-Two Hours in a Safehouse

Following an attack on an Omegaverse facility, she's relocated to a fortified safehouse, only to find herself trapped with a single Alpha. He's disciplined, intimidating, and determined to keep their relationship professional, despite the unmistakable tension between them.

When the doors seal, communications fail, and her suppressed heat symptoms begin to surface, they're forced to rely on each other. But as they uncover evidence that the lockdown wasn't an accident, surviving becomes more complicated than either anticipated.

2. The Mafia Alpha's Unwanted Mate

He's the ruthless heir to a powerful criminal empire, and she's the last person he should ever want: his fated mate. Whether she's connected to a rival family or an unfortunate witness to a crime, their bond makes her a dangerous vulnerability.

He brings her into his world under the guise of protection, surrounding her with guards, rules, and enemies she never knew existed. As betrayal threatens his empire, he'll have to decide how much he's willing to sacrifice for the woman who refuses to trust him.

3. The Mate Who Disappeared

He found her at a party, and the moment he caught her scent, he knew she was his mate. They shared a few precious hours together before she was kidnapped and vanished without a trace. For months, he searched relentlessly, refusing to believe she was gone forever.

Then he walked into a roadside diner a few miles outside his territory and found her working as a waitress.

She's alive, but something is terribly wrong. She looks at him with recognition and fear, offering no explanation for her disappearance. Now he must uncover who took her, why she's hiding, and whether she'll trust him enough to return to the life they were never given the chance to begin.

What I'm looking for in a writing partner

  • Someone interested in collaborative, long-form storytelling.
  • A male writer comfortable portraying a dominant, complex, and potentially morally gray Alpha.
  • Detailed replies with dialogue, internal thoughts, emotional depth, and meaningful progression.
  • Slow-burn romance with external conflicts, supporting characters, and genuine stakes.
  • Open communication about boundaries, character dynamics, and plot development.

I'm happy to brainstorm and adjust any of these concepts together. I'd love to develop the characters and world before starting, with the goal of building a story that balances romance, drama, and a compelling overarching plot.

If one of these catches your attention, feel free to message me with your favorite concept and a little about the character you'd like to write!

One on One [F4M] Rp Partner Search

Hi, I am looking for a partner that has discord to do the below prompt. I am looking for  someone 18+. When you message me, please send a character description similar to the one I have written below. I write in first person and I am looking for someone who does the same.

Character Name: Katherine

Age: 18

Height: 5’6

Description: I am a petite woman with mid-back length black hair. I have blue doe eyes that are framed by thick dark lashes. I also have a warm, friendly smile that lights up my face. I have a fair complexion with a smattering of freckles across my nose and cheeks. I have a bruise on my right cheek that I have tried badly to hide with makeup.

Outfit: I am wearing black ripped jeans, a black tank top and a blue and white unbutton flannel. I am also wearing black converses.

I just moved to this small town, my dad was transferred here to become the Police Chief. With how fast everyone found out I was the Chief’s daughter, it might as well have been tattoo’d on my forehead. You’re the bad boy in town, well known by my father already. I was told about you numerous times; told to keep away from you at all costs. Everyone’s terrified to even look at you the wrong way because they’re scared of you and your group of friends. It’s half way through the year and it’s my first day at your school after getting our belongings moved in to our house. I adjust my book bag as I walk into the school and look down at the slip of paper I was given with my locker number on it. I walk over to my locker and see you and a couple of your friends standing in front of it. I bite my lip and run a hand through my hair before tapping on your shoulder gently. “Could you move please? I just wanna grab my books.” I say while pointing to my locker as I look up at you. I look away quickly as I adjust my book bag and glance at my schedule.

One on One [GM/M4F] Lost too far in the Dungeon NSFW

There was nothing stopping anyone from taking the first steps into the open maw that seemed to descend for miles. Hundreds of attempts had been made through centuries to block, surround, and even collapse the entrance that beckoned risky adventurers to enter, though nothing seemed to last more than a few hours before being cleared again. Whatever magic or evil entity resided within did not allow for anything to deter the wanderlust from taking over and bringing in new victims to endure the trials within. Most call the dungeon the Infinite Descent.

Some legends say that the cavernous halls are crawling with monstrous creatures that rip and tear through a person in a matter of moments. Other stories speak of treacherous traps that string up and skewer the unsuspecting offering that dared spring the mechanism. And some simply tell of the never ending tunnels that slowly send one's mind into a state of pure madness. Some even believe there is a paradise within for all those brave enough to submit themselves. All of these tales could be true, and perhaps none of them are. Only those who descend ever know the truth.

---

Hey! I am looking to take on more of a GM role for this setting as your character, whether they be alone or with a small group, descends into the dungeon. There are a lot of possibilities this can go, so I definitely would like to hear some input on what you would like to see within the dungeon! It can be an labyrinth of sinister creatures, it could be an underworld of curios, or it could be whatever you are craving!

As for a little bit about me, I have been roleplaying in various mediums for about 15 years by now. I've always loved building stories where there were none previously and making characters to go along with them. I prefer to roleplay on Discord, my writing preference is third person and my response length tends to be around 2-4 paragraphs, though I tend to prefer shorter responses if we have a nice back and forth going on. Ideally I would like a partner who can send multiple responses a day, but I am happy with one a day as I know we both have lives. OOC chatting is very much welcomed!

If you have any questions, I encourage you to open up a chat with me and talk! I am more than flexible and am happy to give you an RP that you are excited for!

Group Join a small 3-4 person group RP set in a small town with plenty of world building and romance

Hey everyone,

I’ve done a lot of 1:1 roleplays and I’ve been in some big group servers with 20+ people… but have you ever tried something with only 3-4 players? The kind of RP where you’re fully immersed in the story, you actually know every character, and the world feels alive because you’re building it together instead of getting lost?

I want to world build with a few like-minded people who enjoy collaborative storytelling. We’ll all have a couple of main characters, keep the cast tight, and really dig into the relationships and tension.

I enjoy all kinds of romance and I’m happy to explore a range of tropes. Your IRL gender doesn’t matter to me. All I ask is you willing to build the world with me, open to collaboration and write at least 3-4 paragraphs for reach response.

Setting idea (very open to adjusting):

Willow Creek is a quaint community nestled in the heart of the American Midwest, founded during the pioneer days. Over the years it has grown but remains a small, tight-knit town, insulated from the outside world. To city dwellers it might seem dull, to country folks it’s a slice of paradise.

At the center of the community is the local church, pastored by Nathaniel Hawthorne. A war veteran whose family has deep roots in Willow Creek since the 1800s. As a devoted father of two grown daughters, Nathaniel is increasingly worried about the future of his family and, by extension, the future of their town.

We could portray Pastor Hawthorne’s daughters as main characters. The rest of us could play the main male characters, mostly revolving around the daughters’ love interests. One idea: a city boy who’s dating (or pursuing) the elder daughter. Another: a local “hero” type who’s adored by nearly everyone in town… but who’s a bit more sinister under the surface. I’d love to keep a sense of exciting tension running through the story with other interesting local characters in the mix.

If a small, immersive group RP with room for romance, world building, and character-driven drama sounds good to you, shoot me a message. Please include a writing sample in your message so that I can gauge your writing style. Looking forward to hearing from you!

One on One [M4F] 🎄 A Holly Ridge Christmas: Boots, Bows & Mistletoe

Setting: Holly Ridge, Texas — a charming Southern college town where Christmas is practically a religion, gossip travels faster than the speed limit, and falling in love with the wrong person is almost a local tradition.
[M4F] A Holly Ridge Christmas — A Hallmark-Inspired Military Romance | Opposites Attract | Enemies to Lovers | Slow Burn | Long-Term RP
Timeline: Early December, with the intention of continuing the story through spring and potentially beyond.
Pairing: Male Marine × Female College Student (preferably a sorority girl 🫣🥹)
Romance: Slow burn, enemies to friends to lovers, emotional development, and plenty of unresolved tension.
NSFW: I’m open to mature and NSFW scenes when they naturally fit the storyline, but I don’t want them to become the primary focus. I’m much more interested in the chemistry, anticipation, emotional connection, and character development that lead up to those moments.

Before We Begin
Fair warning, this is a long read! However, if you’re someone who enjoys detailed plots, complicated characters, and romances that actually take time to develop, I think you’ll enjoy this one.
I’m currently helping a friend co-write a book, and I’ve hit a bit of a creative wall with the direction of the story. I’m hoping that exploring a similar concept through roleplay will help bring some inspiration back.
Think of this as a Hallmark Christmas movie that accidentally wandered into a Texas country bar, ordered a whiskey, and developed a few emotional problems.
I want the Christmas lights, decorated storefronts, small-town traditions, and heartwarming moments. But I also want the arguments, misunderstandings, jealousy, complicated friendships, messy decisions, and emotional vulnerability that make a romance feel real.
Most importantly, I do not want our characters falling in love after three interactions.
I want them to genuinely dislike each other at first. I want Cody to say something arrogant and immediately regret it when she puts him in his place. I want them to run into each other at parties, exchange sarcastic remarks, and pretend they aren’t paying attention to who the other person is dancing with.
I want the awkward silences, unexpected conversations, accidental acts of kindness, and those moments when one character realizes they’ve been looking at the other a little differently.
I want the friendship to develop before either of them is willing to admit there’s something more.
And when feelings finally enter the picture, I want them to complicate absolutely everything.
I have a picture reference for how I originally imagined the female character, but you’re more than welcome to create your own appearance, personality, background, and personal storyline.
Your character is yours. I won’t control her thoughts, emotions, dialogue, or actions, and I ask that you give me the same freedom with Cody.

Welcome to Holly Ridge, Texas
If you asked anyone in Texas to describe Holly Ridge, they’d probably tell you it’s the kind of place that belongs on a Christmas postcard.
Nestled among rolling pastures, old oak trees, and winding country roads, Holly Ridge is a picturesque college town with just enough modern life to keep things interesting and just enough Southern tradition to make leaving difficult.
Its historic downtown square is lined with family-owned boutiques, antique stores, bakeries, coffee shops, and restaurants that have been passed down through generations.
There’s an old-fashioned movie theater, a locally famous country dancehall, and a diner where the waitresses have been calling everyone “sugar” since before most of the college students were born.
The town is also home to Holly Ridge University, a respected institution with a thriving Greek life community, competitive athletics, and the kind of social scene that makes Thursday nights feel suspiciously like Saturdays.
Fraternity parties, sorority fundraisers, football games, tailgates, and nights at the local dancehall keep the college crowd entertained.
But December is when Holly Ridge truly comes alive.
Every storefront is decorated with garland and twinkling lights. The courthouse square features an enormous Christmas tree, and horse-drawn carriages occasionally make their way through downtown.
The town hosts a Christmas parade, charity toy drive, gingerbread-house competition, holiday market, cookie-decorating contest, and an annual Christmas Eve dance.
It’s the kind of place where strangers become friends over hot chocolate, neighbors still bring homemade cookies to one another, and everyone seems convinced that Christmas miracles are real.
Unfortunately, it’s also the kind of town where everyone knows your business.
And if a certain Marine starts spending an unusual amount of time around a particular redheaded sorority girl?
Well, the entire town will probably know about it before either of them does.

Male Character — Corporal Cody Walker
Age: 23
Occupation: Corporal, United States Marine Corps
Hometown: A family cattle ranch outside Tyler, Texas
Height: 6’3”
Relationship Status: Single, happily so, and determined to keep it that way.
Appearance: Cody has dark brown hair that he keeps neatly trimmed for the military, hazel-green eyes, broad shoulders, and the muscular build of someone who spends his days training and his free time doing anything except sitting still.
Tattoos cover portions of his forearms, and a permanently crooked smirk makes him look like he’s either flirting with you or about to say something that will get him punched.
Sometimes both.
Off duty, he prefers dark jeans, fitted T-shirts, pearl-snap button-downs, worn cowboy boots, and a baseball cap.
He drives a lifted black Ford F-250 that he takes entirely too much pride in.
Personality: Cocky, sarcastic, stubborn, competitive, protective, flirtatious, fiercely loyal, occasionally reckless, and secretly much more sentimental than he would ever admit.
The Country Boy Behind the Uniform
Cody Walker grew up on a working cattle ranch in rural East Texas.
His childhood consisted of early mornings feeding livestock, afternoons fixing fences, Friday night football games, Saturday night bonfires, and Sunday mornings sitting in a church pew beside his mother.
His father was a hardworking rancher who believed that a man’s handshake ought to mean something and that respect was earned through actions rather than demanded through words.
By thirteen, Cody could operate most of the ranch equipment, handle cattle, and repair just about anything with an engine.
He was also an absolute menace.
He got into fights at school, flirted with girls he had no business flirting with, and developed a reputation for being the kind of boy who could charm his way out of trouble almost as quickly as he found it.
Almost.
His mother frequently reminded him that the Lord had blessed him with a perfectly good brain and that she wished he’d consider using it.
At eighteen, Cody enlisted in the United States Marine Corps.
Five years later, he’d developed into a disciplined, capable Marine who took his responsibilities seriously and would do just about anything for the men serving beside him.
But military service hadn’t completely changed the country boy underneath the uniform.
Off duty, Cody still loved cold beer, George Strait, country dancehalls, shooting pool, fishing, and occasionally getting into arguments with men who didn’t know when to shut their mouths.
He was quick with a sarcastic remark, even quicker to accept a challenge, and entirely too confident in his ability to talk his way out of difficult situations.
And when it came to women?
Cody Walker had never particularly struggled.
He was charming when he wanted to be, knew how to two-step, and had the kind of Southern drawl that tended to make his flirting considerably more effective.
He enjoyed meeting women, buying them drinks, dancing, and keeping things casual.
He wasn’t interested in settling down.
Not yet, anyway.
He had a military career to focus on, an upcoming overseas deployment, and absolutely no desire to complicate his life with a serious relationship.
Besides, he already knew exactly what kind of woman he wanted to avoid.
Spoiled.
High-maintenance.
Materialistic.
The kind of girl who treated her father’s credit card like an unlimited resource and expected every man around her to worship the ground she walked on.
In Cody’s opinion, a wealthy sorority princess was about the last woman on earth he’d ever consider dating.
Which makes what happens next particularly unfortunate.
The Side Nobody Sees
For all his arrogance, Cody has a heart that doesn’t quite match his reputation.
He calls his mother every Sunday, never forgets his nieces’ and nephews’ birthdays, and has a soft spot for children, elderly people, and animals.
He’ll complain the entire time he’s helping someone move furniture, but he’ll still be the first one there and the last one to leave.
He grew up in a Christian household, and although military life has caused him to drift away from regularly attending church, the values his parents raised him with have never completely disappeared.
He believes in loyalty, family, keeping his word, and protecting the people he loves.
And despite acting like Christmas is nothing more than an excuse for people to spend money on ridiculous decorations, Cody secretly loves the holiday.
He misses cutting down Christmas trees with his father, attending Christmas Eve church services, and waking up on Christmas morning to a house full of family.
Deep down, he wants that life for himself someday.
A wife. A few kids. A house on some land. A couple of dogs running around the yard.
He just doesn’t think that someday is anywhere close.
And he certainly doesn’t plan on finding his future wife in a sorority house.
His New Assignment
Cody has recently arrived at a military training installation outside Holly Ridge alongside several Marines from his unit.
They’re participating in specialized training ahead of an upcoming overseas deployment.
The temporary assignment is expected to last several months, giving Cody just enough time to get familiar with the area before returning to his regular duty station.
His closest friend in the group is Mason Reed, another Marine who has developed the unfortunate habit of encouraging Cody’s worst ideas.
Mason is outgoing, mischievous, and considerably more interested in the local college scene than he is in behaving himself.
Naturally, the two become frequent visitors to Holly Ridge’s bars, restaurants, and weekend parties.
Cody’s plan is simple.
Train hard during the week.
Have fun on the weekends.
Meet some pretty girls.
Leave town without getting attached to anyone.
Unfortunately, Holly Ridge has other plans.

Female Character — The Sorority Girl
Age: Early twenties
Occupation: College Student
University: Holly Ridge University
Sorority: Alpha Sigma Alpha
Appearance Inspiration: Beautiful red hair, a fashionable Southern college-girl aesthetic, and the kind of effortless beauty that tends to attract attention.
Everything beyond that is yours to develop.
She could be sweet and bubbly, outgoing and sarcastic, quietly intelligent, stubborn and independent, or a combination of all four.
She might come from money, or she might be working two jobs to afford the lifestyle everyone assumes has been handed to her.
She could genuinely love sorority life while privately struggling with the expectations that come with it.
Maybe she’s studying nursing, education, psychology, business, or something entirely different.
Maybe she has a complicated family, a difficult ex-boyfriend, ambitious career goals, or a secret she’s not comfortable sharing.
I want you to give her a life outside of Cody.
Friends, family, responsibilities, hobbies, flaws, ambitions, and problems that don’t magically disappear when romance enters the picture.
From the outside, she looks like the stereotypical Southern sorority princess.
Beautiful red hair.
Perfectly coordinated outfits.
A social calendar that never seems to slow down.
Fraternity boys constantly trying to get her attention.
And a reputation around campus that makes her seem like someone who has everything figured out.
At least, that’s what Cody assumes.
He takes one look at her and decides she’s spoiled, entitled, and probably never worked a day in her life.
He couldn’t possibly be more confident in his judgment.
Whether he’s right about any of it is another story.
And what Cody doesn’t anticipate is that this particular girl might not find his military background, charming smile, or arrogant personality nearly as impressive as he expects.
She might even be the first woman in a long time who can make Cody Walker genuinely speechless.

The Story — A Christmas Neither of Them Expected
It starts in early December.
Cody has been in Holly Ridge less than a week when Mason convinces him to attend a Christmas party at the Alpha Sigma Alpha sorority house.
Cody isn’t particularly enthusiastic.
In his opinion, a house full of fraternity boys, Christmas cocktails, and college girls wearing matching holiday outfits sounds like a headache waiting to happen.
But Mason promises free beer and pretty women.
And Cody has never been especially talented at turning down either.
That’s where he first notices her.
The redhead.
She’s beautiful, obviously.
But Cody has already decided exactly what kind of girl she is before they’ve exchanged a single word.
And because Cody apparently lacks the ability to keep his opinions to himself, their first interaction doesn’t go particularly well.
One sarcastic comment turns into another.
A teasing remark becomes an insult.
And suddenly, Cody finds himself in a conversation with a girl who might actually dislike him.
The feeling, he assures himself, is mutual.
The problem?
Holly Ridge is a small town.
And apparently, avoiding someone becomes significantly harder when the universe seems determined to keep putting them in your path.
From Enemies to Something Neither Can Explain
I want their relationship to evolve naturally.
At first, they’re nothing more than two people who get on each other’s nerves.
Cody thinks she’s high-maintenance and dramatic.
She thinks he’s an arrogant, foul-mouthed cowboy with an ego bigger than his truck.
Neither is particularly interested in reconsidering.
But then they keep running into each other.
Maybe Mason starts dating one of her sorority sisters.
Maybe they’re both recruited to help with the town’s Christmas charity drive.
Maybe Cody ends up at the same coffee shop she frequents.
Or maybe they simply keep showing up at the same dancehall every weekend.
Eventually, their interactions become familiar.
They start recognizing each other’s habits.
Remembering little details.
Developing inside jokes.
And finding excuses to talk that neither would ever admit were intentional.
Cody might start saving her a seat without realizing he’s doing it.
She might discover that his favorite Christmas movie is something embarrassingly sentimental.
He might learn how she takes her coffee.
She might be the first person in Holly Ridge to notice when he’s having a difficult day.
And somewhere along the way, their mutual irritation starts becoming something dangerously close to friendship.
Neither knows what to do with that.
The Jealousy — Because They’re Both Stubborn
Cody isn’t going to suddenly become boyfriend material just because he’s met an attractive redhead.
He’s twenty-three, single, and enjoying his freedom.
He’ll still go out with the Marines, flirt with women at bars, and occasionally leave a party with someone else’s phone number.
There may be nights when she sees him dancing with another girl.
Maybe he’s leaning against the bar with a blonde laughing at his jokes.
Maybe he’s two-stepping with a brunette while George Strait plays overhead.
And because Cody is an idiot when it comes to emotions, he might occasionally flirt a little harder when he notices the redhead watching.
Not because he doesn’t care what she thinks.
But because he’s starting to care far too much.
Of course, Cody’s confidence becomes considerably less impressive when the situation is reversed.
He can handle combat training, exhausting field exercises, and getting yelled at by superior officers.
What he apparently cannot handle is watching some fraternity boy put his hand on her lower back.
He’ll insist he doesn’t care.
Then spend the next twenty minutes complaining about the guy.
Mason, naturally, will find this hilarious.
“You’re jealous.”
“The hell I am.”
“You’ve been staring at that dude for fifteen minutes.”
“Because he’s a jackass.”
“You don’t even know him.”
“Don’t need to. Look at his damn shoes.”
The best part?
Cody knows he has absolutely no right to be jealous.
They aren’t dating.
They might not even be friends yet.
And he’s still flirting with other women himself.
I want that hypocrisy to create real tension.
I want misunderstandings, hurt feelings, arguments, and moments when Cody has to confront the fact that he can’t expect loyalty from someone he refuses to commit to.
And I want the female character to have enough independence and self-respect to challenge him when he’s being unreasonable.
The Hallmark Moments
Despite the drama, I still want this story to have the warmth and charm of a Christmas romance.
Picture Cody reluctantly agreeing to help decorate the downtown square, only to end up tangled in Christmas lights while the redhead laughs at him.
Or the two of them getting paired together for a charity event and spending the entire afternoon arguing about who has the better decorating skills.
Maybe she discovers him helping an elderly neighbor hang lights on her porch.
Maybe he catches her quietly doing something generous for a family that can’t afford Christmas presents.
Maybe they end up sharing a late-night conversation outside the town’s Christmas Eve dance, away from the music and crowds.
Perhaps Cody offers her his jacket when the temperature drops, then spends the rest of the evening pretending he isn’t freezing.
Or maybe he teaches her how to two-step when the dance floor finally empties.
I want moments where their defenses come down without either character necessarily realizing it.
And I want those moments to matter.
Beyond Christmas
Christmas is only the beginning.
Once the holiday season ends, Holly Ridge returns to its normal rhythm.
Classes resume.
Sorority events and fraternity parties pick back up.
Cody’s military training becomes increasingly demanding.
And the reality of his upcoming deployment begins creeping closer.
I want the storyline to continue into the spring, allowing their relationship to develop beyond the Christmas atmosphere.
There could be Valentine’s Day misunderstandings, spring break plans, unexpected visits to Cody’s family ranch, arguments about the future, and moments when military responsibilities interfere with personal plans.
Maybe she meets Cody’s mother before they’re even officially together.
Maybe Cody becomes protective of her during a difficult situation, only to realize she doesn’t need someone making decisions for her.
Maybe one of them almost admits their feelings, only for the moment to be interrupted.
And maybe, just when things finally begin going well, Cody receives news that changes everything.
The Biggest Obstacle — His Deployment
Cody Walker has never been particularly afraid of commitment.
At least, that’s what he tells himself.
The truth is that commitment has never felt like a realistic option.
His military career comes with uncertainty, long absences, and responsibilities that don’t always leave room for a relationship.
He’s seen fellow Marines struggle through long-distance relationships.
He’s watched engagements fall apart before deployments.
And he knows better than to make promises about a future he can’t completely control.
So when he starts developing genuine feelings for the redhead, his first instinct is to ignore them.
Then deny them.
Then convince himself that they’re better off as friends.
And when that stops working, he might push her away entirely.
Because the closer they become, the more difficult leaving Holly Ridge starts to feel.
And Cody is beginning to realize that the girl he once dismissed as a spoiled sorority princess might be the first woman he’s ever seriously imagined building a future with.
The problem is that loving someone means giving them the ability to hurt you.
And for all his confidence, Cody Walker has absolutely no idea how to handle that.

Alpha Sigma Alpha Sorority House — Holly Ridge University
“You’re tellin’ me we drove twenty damn minutes for this?”
Corporal Cody Walker stood at the bottom of the porch steps, staring up at the enormous white sorority house with an expression somewhere between disbelief and genuine concern.
Christmas lights covered nearly every inch of the building.
Red velvet bows hung from the porch columns, illuminated reindeer decorated the lawn, and an inflatable Santa Claus stood beside the front door looking as though he’d consumed one too many eggnogs.
Somewhere inside, Mariah Carey was belting out All I Want for Christmas Is You at a volume that probably violated several local noise ordinances.
Cody slowly turned toward Mason.
“Good Lord, son.”
Mason Reed grinned, clearly enjoying himself.
“What?”
“Looks like Santa Claus threw up all over a damn Hobby Lobby.”
Mason burst out laughing.
“Dude, would you quit bitchin’? There’s free beer and about fifty college girls in there.”
Cody considered that information for a moment.
“Well, hell. Why didn’t you lead with that?”
He adjusted the sleeves of his black pearl-snap shirt, exposing the tattoos along his forearms.
Dark jeans, a leather belt, and a pair of worn brown cowboy boots completed the outfit.
At six-foot-three, with broad shoulders and a permanently arrogant smirk, Cody looked more like he’d just stepped out of a country dancehall than a military barracks.
Which was exactly how he preferred it.
They’d arrived at their temporary duty station earlier that week, and Cody was already developing a serious dislike for the barracks.
The training was demanding, the food was questionable, and he’d spent most of his free time listening to Mason complain about the lack of attractive women on base.
Tonight was apparently Mason’s solution.
“Just do me a favor,” Mason said as they started toward the porch.
Cody raised an eyebrow.
“What’s that?”
“Don’t start any fights.”
Cody stopped walking.
“Excuse the hell outta me?”
“You heard me.”
“Brother, I am a gentleman.”
Mason snorted.
“Last weekend you punched a guy because he called your truck ugly.”
“He called it a pavement princess.”
“Because it is.”
Cody slowly turned his head.
“Watch your damn mouth.”
Mason laughed and pushed open the front door.
Inside, the sorority house was packed.
Christmas music blasted through the speakers, girls in festive outfits crowded the living room, and several fraternity guys had apparently decided that a Christmas party wasn’t complete without an unnecessarily competitive game of beer pong.
A massive Christmas tree stood in the corner, decorated with red and white ornaments.
The entire place smelled like expensive perfume, cinnamon candles, and whatever questionable combination of alcohol someone had dumped into the punch bowl.
Cody took one look around.
“Well, I’ll be damned.”
Mason smirked.
“See? Told you.”
Cody spotted a cooler near the kitchen.
“Alright. Maybe you ain’t completely useless.”
Within minutes, Mason had wandered off to flirt with a blonde wearing a Santa hat, leaving Cody leaning against the kitchen counter with a cold beer in his hand.
Not that he minded.
Cody was perfectly capable of entertaining himself.
A brunette in a red Christmas sweater approached him not long afterward.
“Hey, cowboy.”
Cody glanced over, flashing an easy grin.
“Well, howdy, darlin’.”
“You’re not from around here, are you?”
“That obvious?”
She laughed.
“The accent.”
“Born and raised in East Texas, sweetheart. Can’t exactly hide it.”
They talked for a while.
Cody was charming when he wanted to be, and tonight he had absolutely no reason not to be.
He laughed at something she said, leaning closer to hear her over the music.
Then Mason appeared beside him.
“Dude.”
Cody barely looked up.
“What?”
“Look over there.”
“Brother, if you’re about to show me another beer pong table—”
“Just look.”
Cody followed his friend’s gaze toward the living room.
And that’s when he noticed her.
The redhead.
She stood out almost immediately among the crowd.
Beautiful red hair, a carefully put-together Christmas outfit, and the kind of appearance that suggested she belonged on the cover of a Southern lifestyle magazine.
Cody tilted his head slightly.
“Well, ain’t she somethin’.”
Mason grinned.
“Right?”
Cody took another sip of beer.
“Looks expensive.”
Mason frowned.
“What the hell does that mean?”
“Means I bet her father pays for everything from that outfit to the gas in her car.”
“You literally know nothing about her.”
“Don’t need to.”
Cody shrugged.
“Know the type.”
Mason shook his head.
“You’re such an asshole.”
“Been told.”
A few minutes later, Mason disappeared into the crowd again.
Cody eventually abandoned the kitchen in search of somewhere slightly less crowded.
He passed a group of fraternity boys arguing about football, narrowly avoided getting dragged into a drinking game, and listened to a particularly obnoxious guy brag about his father’s lake house.
By the time he reached the living room, he’d already decided that college parties were exactly as ridiculous as he’d remembered.
He stopped beside the enormous Christmas tree and checked his phone.
A text from his mother sat near the top of his notifications.
Hope you’re settling in okay, sweetheart. Don’t forget to find a church while you’re there. Love you.
Cody smiled faintly.
Yes ma’am. Love you too.
He slipped the phone into his pocket.
And then he noticed the redhead standing nearby.
The same girl Mason had pointed out earlier.
Up close, she was even prettier than he’d initially thought.
Which was unfortunate, because Cody had already decided she was probably a pain in the ass.
He glanced at the decorations surrounding them, then back toward her.
A familiar crooked smirk tugged at the corner of his mouth.
“Well, ain’t you just a little Christmas princess.”
His thick East Texas drawl carried easily over the music.
He gestured toward the ridiculously elaborate decorations with his beer bottle.
“Y’all decorate this place yourselves, or did somebody rob a Hobby Lobby?”
A quiet chuckle escaped him.
He leaned one shoulder against the wall beside the tree, studying her with an expression of casual amusement.
“Let me guess. You’re one of those Hallmark girls, ain’t ya?”
He raised an eyebrow.
“The kind that starts listenin’ to Christmas music in October and thinks every problem in life can be fixed with a peppermint latte?”
Cody took another sip of beer, looking entirely too pleased with himself.
“Go on, darlin’. Tell me I’m wrong.”
He had absolutely no idea who she was.
And he certainly had no idea that the girl standing in front of him was about to become the biggest complication of his entire assignment.

What I’m Looking for in a Writing Partner
I’m hoping to find someone who genuinely enjoys collaborative storytelling rather than rushing through scenes to get to the romantic parts.
A few things that matter to me:
Detailed, literate responses. I enjoy descriptive writing, natural dialogue, internal thoughts, and meaningful character development. Quality matters more than matching a specific word count.
A genuine slow burn. Attraction can happen early, but trust, friendship, vulnerability, and love should take time.
Equal storytelling. I don’t want to be the only person introducing new situations, supporting characters, or plot developments.
Realistic characters. Both characters should have flaws, make mistakes, experience consequences, and grow throughout the story.
Drama with purpose. Jealousy, misunderstandings, outside romantic interests, friendship conflicts, and emotional tension are welcome, but I don’t want constant drama without development.
A world beyond romance. Military life, college responsibilities, sorority events, family dynamics, friendships, and small-town traditions should all have a place in the storyline.
Long-term potential. I would love to explore what happens after Christmas, after spring semester, and potentially even after Cody’s deployment.
I’m also perfectly comfortable discussing future plot ideas out of character. I enjoy brainstorming scenes, introducing unexpected complications, and building a storyline together.
I don’t expect constant replies or immediate availability. Real life comes first, and I’d much rather have a writing partner who genuinely enjoys the story than someone who feels pressured to respond.
Ultimately, I’m looking for the kind of roleplay where we become invested in the characters, laugh at their terrible decisions, get frustrated with their stubbornness, and look forward to seeing where their story goes.
If you’ve made it this far and this sounds like something you’d enjoy, send me a message!
Tell me a little about your writing style, the character you’d like to play, and what interests you most about the plot.
And if you’re the kind of writer who loves a cocky country boy getting completely humbled by a girl he swore he’d never fall for?
I have a feeling we’re going to get along just fine.
Because sometimes the last person you’d ever choose is the one who changes everything.
