Discussion/আলোচনা Mental Health and Psychology.

Hello Everyone.

I used to run a very popular Facebook page and group for psychology but recently it went down. And I don't know how to go back there for several reasons. But I had so many people who we're dependent on me who use to take regular sessions from me. I feel really bad for them. Any suggestions how can I connect to them however I can't reach them without the id because I forgot their I'd names like for example someone's name was Fahmida there are many ids named same and I can't find the exact one. So I'm pretty much over and also free right now.

I'm feeling low . I feel if I could work back again it'll help me recover my current state for that. I'm interested to work with anyone who needs any mental support for free.

If any of you need any assistance I can also help you out.

Feel free to reach me out for mental health suggestions. I'm non I hope you'll feel better.

Thank you.

Discussion/আলোচনা Stock Market Investment (DSE) Bot

Hi All!

TL;DR - I made a quant-based, academic-research backed trading bot for the Dhaka Stock Exchange delivering superior risk-adjusted returns. Looking for Beta testers who will get 2 months of Elite Subscription free. Link:  https://onlylinks.cc/Rsyr. I have been beta testing for the past 4 months, and have an annualized return of 79.4%

Backtest Results and Strategy deep-dive: https://onlylinks.cc/ALys

Graduating from Finance in 2021, I have always been deeply passionate about the stock market and have always looked at how to utilize the inherent characteristics of the DSE. Being a coder, I made my graduating internship report too on the same hypothesis, using the Inefficient Market Hypotheses to prove superior, statistically significant returns are possible

Fast-forward to 5 years, after spending 5 years in the industry, and with the advent of AI, I have been able to further hone, and strengthen the hypotheses I had, and have integrated them all into a mechanical, telegram-based trading bot. AI has further helped to strengthen the algo, and prove that the returns are statistically significant, not luck-based and reproducible. After each trading day it says what to buy and when to sell, by those rules, using quant based algos and long-term market characteristics of DSE. It never trades for you, it isnt any fancy AI-time series forecasting, just pure algo-based

What earlier research found about the DSE:

• Mobarek, Mollah and Bhuyan (2008), Journal of Emerging Market Finance. DSE returns are not independent and can be predicted, which goes against weak-form efficiency.

• Islam and Khaled (2005), Journal of Business Finance & Accounting. Prices were predictable in the short term before the 1996 crash, but not after. The evidence is mixed, which is why I test everything myself.

• Khan (2017), Review of Pacific Basin Financial Markets and Policies. Momentum pays on the DSE in rising markets, not in falling ones, and reverses later. The cause is investor overreaction.

• Akhter and Yong (2019), Cogent Economics & Finance. DSE momentum comes and goes with market conditions and disappears in crashes and bubbles (the Adaptive Markets Hypothesis).

• Rabbani (2018), Journal of Business Studies, University of Dhaka. The DSE has a day-of-the-week effect that shifts from year to year. In my data from 2013 to 2026, the DSEX's average Sunday was negative in 13 of 14 years.

A few of the research behind it (methods only, not the settings):

• Walk-forward testing. The model only learns from past years and is graded on the next one, repeated from 2013 to 2026. It never sees the answers.
• Fama and MacBeth (1973). Used to measure which of about thirty price and trading patterns really predict DSE returns, each one separately from the rest.
• Bailey and Lopez de Prado (2014), Deflated Sharpe Ratio; Bailey, Borwein, Lopez de Prado and Zhu (2017), Probability of Backtest Overfitting. Two checks for "did I just get lucky after trying many ideas". The main strategy was the first of mine to hold up under both.
• Ardia, Guidotti and Kroencke (2024). Used to estimate the real bid-ask spread from daily prices, so every test pays realistic costs: about 2% for a buy and sale together.
• Bali, Cakici and Whitelaw (2011) and Jegadeesh and Titman (1993). Hyped "lottery-like" shares doing worse later, and momentum. Both show up in DSE data.

How it works

After every trading day, the bot reads every DSEX share and checks it against four fixed, tested strategies. The same prices always give the same answer, for everyone. It tells you what to buy and when to sell, and never trades for you.

# Quant Pick: every Thursday, a computer model scores every DSEX share on about thirty measurements of how it has traded. The best-scoring shares that trade enough to buy easily become that week’s list. It sells at a stop that rises with the price, or when a Thursday review ranks the share in the bottom half.

# Long Hold: good-value shares (P/E 0–25) that start rising again after a fall. It holds them until the trend turns down and has no price stop.

# Dip: the same buys as Long Hold, but it sells sooner. It sells when the trend turns down or on very heavy trading. Depending on how the whole market is moving, it also sells either 20% below the share’s best close or into a sharp bounce.

# Rising: the shares that have climbed the most over recent months. It sells when the trend turns down, on a sudden spike, or 25% below your price at the latest.

The suggested split is about half in Quant Pick and half in Long Hold. Dip and Rising are extras.

How it was tested

On DSE prices from 2009 to 2026, paying trading costs on every buy and sale (about 2% for the pair).

The pass mark was written down before each test, and most ideas failed and were dropped.

Quant Pick’s model is only ever graded on years it never learned from (2013–2026), and it is retrained every January.

Two standard checks test whether the results were luck from trying too many ideas: the Deflated Sharpe Ratio and the Probability of Backtest Overfitting.

Right now, I am both looking for beta testers as well as subscribers to my bot, with a 2-month free subscription of Elite to those who sign up now. You will need to signup on the bot and paste BETA as trx id when requested. Hoping to hear soon!

Seeking advice/পরামর্শ Where can I find anime merch?

I can't find merch of any character that isn't from Naruto, Jujutsu Kaisen or One Piece. I've looked for vocaloid stuff too, but it's only Miku. I think there's some shops on insta, but I can't remember the names. I don't have much hope though because my favorite characters are quite unpopular.

I'm looking for vocaloid, genshin, hsr and banana fish merch.

Seeking advice/পরামর্শ How can I find remote AutoCAD drafting jobs?

Hey guys!
I’m from Dhaka, Bangladesh, and I’m trying to find remote work as an AutoCAD drafter.
I can do civil/structural drafting, RCC drawings, and steel structure detailing. I also have my own PC and can work remotely.
I’m just wondering where people usually find these types of jobs, especially with clients from the US, UK, Europe, or other countries.
If anyone here works remotely in this field, could you share some tips on how to get started or where to look for clients?
Any advice would be really appreciated. Thanks! 🙏

Seeking advice/পরামর্শ Where in Dhaka can I find 120–140 GSM colored/custom-colored A4 paper and notebook manufacturers?

Hi everyone

I’m looking for suppliers/manufacturers in Dhaka who can provide A4-size colored or custom-colored paper around 120–140 GSM.
I’m planning to make a notebook using this type of paper, so ideally I’m looking for a place that can either:
Supply the paper in different/custom colors, and/or
Cut/print/bind the paper and make it into a notebook.

I’m particularly interested in finding multiple color options, not just the standard white/cream paper commonly available in stationery shops.
If you know any paper mills, paper suppliers, printing presses, notebook manufacturers, or wholesale markets in Dhaka where I could get this done, I’d really appreciate the recommendations.

Also, if you know the approximate price per sheet/kg or minimum order quantity, that would be very helpful.
TIA

Seeking advice/পরামর্শ I'm 21, working full-time and studying in Dhaka. Should I continue learning video editing or look for another way to earn more?

I'm 21 and currently in my third year of an English Literature degree. I also work at a graphics company in Dhaka, My office start at 12:30 and I can get out at 9:30. I barely have any time for myself, although I do get Saturdays and Sundays off.

My biggest problem is that my salary is very low, and it's difficult to make ends meet in Dhaka with my current income.

I have a PC, and last year I bought a video editing course, but I couldn't get started because I kept procrastinating. Now I genuinely want to learn, but seeing what AI tools like Claude can do with video editing and motion graphics makes me wonder whether it's still worth investing my time in this field. I'm a complete beginner, so I'm worried about learning a skill that might become less valuable because of AI.

What would you recommend? Should I start the video editing course, learn the skills, and build a portfolio, or should I focus on a different skill that could help me earn more money?

I'd especially appreciate advice from people who have experience with video editing, freelancing, or earning money online in Bangladesh. If you were in my situation, what would you do?

Thanks in advance!

Seeking advice/পরামর্শ Indian from Kerala planning to visit Bangladesh for the first time. Need some advice!

Hey everyone!

I'm from Kerala, India, and I'm thinking about visiting Bangladesh, probably Dhaka. I've never travelled there before, so I'm trying to figure out how everything works before making any plans.

I'd really appreciate advice from Indians who've travelled to Bangladesh and Bangladeshis who live there or have experience travelling between the two countries.

A few things I'm confused about:

- How difficult is it for an Indian citizen to get a Bangladeshi tourist visa?

- Do I need to maintain a certain bank balance? Do they ask for bank statements?

- How much would a trip of 7 days cost, including flights, accommodation and other expenses?

- What's the easiest way to travel from Kerala to Dhaka, for now am planning of taking a flight?

- For anyone living in Bangladesh, what’s it like for someone visiting from India right now? Is there anything a first-timer should know before coming?

- Any advice about accommodation, local transport or anything else I should know?

I'm still in the planning stage, so I haven't booked anything yet. Just trying to understand the process and figure out how much I need to save.

Would love to hear from people who've actually been there or know how things work. Thanks!
