turns out you can do it, so far it seems to be fine and no errors while starting the game or missing files

Really the fact that it was in Toriels fridge should have been a warning.

\ Susie...*

\ It was nice... being your friend.*

\ Goodbye.*

This AU concept isn't a role swap but a personality swap where everyone has the same role in canon Deltarune but It's just Kris and Noelle who exchanged personalities.

Roughly translates to "Upper half Flowery and lower half Flowery"

this was stupid

After defeating the Knight, they drop a dark shard - a weapon for Kris. Interestingly, this is the only weapon that retains its name after crossing over to the Light World (plus, in Chapter 4, Asgore focused his attention specifically on this item while in the Light World).

Maybe the dark shard is literally a solid form of the Dark Fountain (which we see in the form of gas), which prevents it from dissipating into the atmosphere. And considering that the Knight's entire armor (or the Knight themself) consists of this solid darkness, it can be assumed that they retain the power of the Dark World.
