Since Its my first week two in DAYZ I would like to know what I can expect today and tomorrow? are players going crazy before the wipe and they just shoot each other? :D

I’m not excited for the new map ~ I have a few pressing curiosities if any one can answer one .. or all

1. ⁠What is the equivalent of mushroom or fruit spawns on the new map ?

2. ⁠Do you think the developers are committed to reinstalling the removed assets ( skyscrapers, large apts ) that were removed for performance in a near future update ?

3. ⁠If a player is more than 1100 meters away do I understand that the environment will load but draw distance will prevent the player being seen ?

4. ⁠How do you think stashes will look in sand ? I recall in Sakhal the dug “ mound” looked a bit odd in the snow .

5. ⁠Will most players just log in a sandstorm and wait 15 minutes ?

So I used to run a dayz server months ago and have played the game for years, and recently I've come across a server called DayzX where their bot can spawn loot in from the shop with no reset kill feed is instant same with the money you can go to a website and teleport to a teleport hub by pressing a button which then moves you instantly in game whilst logged in another thing is the website tracks you live in the server like actually live if I move 2 steps I see it on the map.

Has dayz had some massive update with servers on xbox or something because when ever spawning in loot it always required a server reset.

I did ask one of the admins and they said "idk" then immediately closed my ticket.

Anyone know anything about stuff like this

Edit 1: They also have it so if you put a code lock on a gate it locks every storage item only openable to someone who's unlocked the code lock using the code.

And their ai bot knows exactly where everything is down to the T like I reported someone for raiding me before raid times and the bot knew exactly where I was stood and he was which side of the wall he was and blah blah plus when he went into our loot.

I recently snagged an R700 Timberwolf and ghillie suit off a random dead guy I found outside of Severograd.

I’m new to PC (have been playing Xbox before), and want to practice sniping with mouse.

Any good spots I can camp at and wait for my prey? I know of Gorka in the woods and the woods overlooking Stary military.

There must be lots more though?

Anyone else going out with a bang for badlands ?

Hi! I am looking for some new PvE servers. I have previous played on Sunny #10, the wall, HOD Pripyat. They have all had things I have liked about each of them, mostly we play as a group but I am currently looking for some different stuff to do on my own. I like a good loot system but something that’s overly easy, or super super difficult to get a base started. I’m open to PvE/PvP but PvE is preferred. I am playing on pc using DZSA launcher

Been getting more and more into DayZ and I'm not a KOS (Kill on sight) player,

I like to imagine that we are all in the "endgame together" and not everyone is a "I GOTTA GET THIS KD UP, KILL EVERYONE" player.

I am not a Roleplayer, far from it

But I'm not a player that "If I see another player, they gotta go back to spawn" either

I play cautious around them if I see them, then if I find them as a non threat ask if they are friendly

I've both met good and bad people this way

One person shared food with me, another person shot me in the head while most people just try to avoid any conversation at all

Sometimes I wish there was a "Try not to KOS" server, but not a PVE server either (I tried PVE, wasn't for me, I like the hardcore DayZ)

Anyone else is like this?

I been tryna use up the stash on some high population official servers before the wipe, but I can’t seem to find anyone. I’ve been hanging around the airfield on Chernarus and it’s dead around here. It’s my first wipe. Is there a place people tend to go around these times?

I don’t mean small squads I mean like 5-8 man teams who farm military zones and have the best gear in barrels. Each wipe they build up again in hours, hoard the cars etc. I do have a story of one my friend on a community server told me:

The start:
Group offering trade for supplies, group charges nails, nothing too bad but the rates are like DayZ scalping. 3 boxes of nails just for gas.

My friend does a trade for a handgun and ammo (3 boxes of nails for gun, box each for ammo plus a mag) and moves on.

Where it gets worse:
Friend finds a running car and builds a base. Hides base well in an abandoned barn away from the visited zones.

Gets good gear for himself and begins to build explosives stashes around the map.

Raids smaller groups and pockets insane profit.

The worst part:
Large group demands half of the loot as they “generously” sold him the gun and ammo. My friend refuses and fights them. He wins.

He moves base to an area away from where he was.

Logs in one day and he goes to military zones. Turns out the large group was taking anything of value to sell at high prices.

I feel like I smoked this guy I just couldn’t find his body for the life of me and he didn’t engage in a fight with me. I feel like if I did hit him it would’ve killed him instantly and I want to mention I have a terrible sense of direction in this game and was also scared he had a teammate so I waited it out for like 10 mins then couldn’t find his body anywhere

Dig so deep in DayZ. I’m listening the soundtrack for going to work in the morning. All good t’ill I heard some footstep and gunfire INTO the soundtrack. Thinking everytime I heard this, it was only some hallucinations. IT WAS NOT.

What do you think of DayZ soundtrack?

I got a kick message on my LAN server stating CF is out of date compared to the client.

Does anyone know how to fix this? Or is it an update the authors of CF have to fix.

Community Framework was updated today from what the workshop showed. So Uninstall, reinstall, move on.

I've been playing dayz since i had a ps4. I've been playing on ps5 and I've never been interested in PC gaming until this game. Idk what kind of PC to get or what I would need to play dayz smoothly. Please help

I’ve been on the same 1440p monitor (Acer Predator Z321QU, 31.5") for about 8 years and I’m finally upgrading. I’m looking at the Alienware AW3426DW 34" 3440×1440 OLED with an 1800R curve.

For those of you playing DayZ on a 34" ultrawide, do you find it more immersive, or are you constantly turning your head to check the edges of the screen? Is the HUD (status icons, inventory) comfortable to read, and do you play with an ultrawide FOV or cap it?

Running an RTX 3080 if that matters. Thanks
