Earlier today before work, I moved to a high pop server so I can find some PVP. I'm in chernarus and can't find a soul even though it's high pop. I heard Livonia is the move. I felt like the twin from the movie Legends. "I came here for a proper shootout"

I'll try Livonia in the morning. I've got like 10 grenades, A tundra, a mosin and a Sval. With plenty of ammo. I don't normally triple carry. But the mosin wanted to play too.

It’s hard to find people sometimes on full pop Chernarus. You’ll be running into people constantly on full pop Livonia.

I ended up playing on Livonia and I will say. I've never once encountered a hacker in my 3000+ hours on dayz. Today i played on Livonia because everyone said that's where shit is popping off and I ran into multiple on the same server. One guy was running around completely invisible. You can hear his footsteps. He runs up the stairs in the building I was in. I prefired before he even opened the door and threw a pox grenade at me. I ran down the stairs after him, saw the front door open on its own and heard footsteps sprinting off as I tried to follow them.

I ran into another building to bandage up and about 10 minutes later, a guy runs into the room I'm in, i shot the shit out of him and he still manages to one tap me and he had no arms

I plan to arrange all my grenades, thumper ammo and my one IED around me and nuke myself and all my gear. Like the kings of old!

I'm in the same situation. My characters name is Ivan and he's been alive close to 60 hrs on mid pop official chernaraus. I mainly stay pretty isolated in the west and only kill people when I run into them at MBs and camps. But for the past 2 weeks I've been pretty wreck less running around zeleno area all the way up to tisy and I've gunned down every person I've met so far which really hasn't been that many lol. It's been really quiet leading up to the wipe. I thought I would've died a long time ago. And I don't wanna just die to bad decisions. So if I don't meet my end tonight in a glorious gun battle. The wipe will be a metaphorical nuke or my character simply used his skills to cross the desert and escape the hell

we ( me and my cru')survived for 2 weeks and managed to gather a bit of gear for a last hurrah before the wipe. Sadly we play on official , and just before we were planing to log out for the night ( we were in base just sorting stuff ) then just, bam "you are dead" all 3 of us at the same time.

so we are gonna sit this one out :(

Official servers, if they are going to wipe, usually do so with a release or ~4 times a year. A wipe may be full/complete/total (includes characters, inventory, bases, stashes, vehicles -> EVERYTHING) or partial (just players or just everything else in the world). The wipe may be different by platform. The wipe will be announced on the DayZ Twitter close to the release date and it will certainly be pinned to this sub.

Community servers can choose to wipe or not at any time, although it is not really required. The server, once updated, will incorporate changes over time.
