They clearly don't given that the entire top panel is literally not what the show presents the issue as. Makes me think maybe you also didn't understand?
I didn't say OP didn't understand. I said the person who created the meme doesn't understand.
That person doesn't understand the motivations (that were clearly set up through out the series) of a mother protecting her child from a man who previously got multiple people killed when he tried to trade a manhunter to the guardians so he could keep power.
The Guardians knew about the situation and did nothing. Hal got caught in a situation between two rival aliens, there was already bloodshed before he arrived, and had he not been there people still would've died, only he wouldn't have been there to protect anyone. John was also in the mix and stayed as well following the Guardians orders, so how does he not have any fault in this? The whole idea that Hal caused this because he didn't back down, and negotiate with a terrorist who would sacrifice the people they apparently cared for is ridiculous. The manhunter manipulated, and used an entire town. Was he supposed to go back to the Guardians and ask for backup? They knew about the threat, and just sat there trying to manipulate Hal, and John.

Some people struggle to follow a narrative that isn't spelled out for them in crayon.
