Been really loving hand to hand combat lately. Really cool animations. Imagine taking one of Kliffs Kicks to the face.

I’m just wondering what y’all think. Also, pretend like GTA6 isn’t a thing. For obvious reasons.

I am sick of using the horse as a mountain goat trying to get those frost armours and other stuff, now travelling is light and peaceful. Hopefully, one day maybe we can put captured bounties on the wyverns.

For those who aren't aware, DokeV was announced along with Crimson Desert back in 2019, but was pushed back so PA could focus on Crimson Desert. Now, a majority of the devs have been shifted over to finally continue development on DokeV. From what we have seen in trailers, DokeV is a hybrid of Crimson Desert and Pokemon. After playing Crimson Desert, would you say you are interested in playing more games from Pearl Abyss?

After reaching level 5 with Royler I decided to try other mounts and got Rokade. And boy do other horses feel sluggish and slow after Royler. Even at high level rokade feels slow even though he has 4 speed, strangely he even feels slower than the starting horse. (Yes I checked if Rokade was injured or fatigued, he was not)
I really tried to like royler because he looks so cool, but I suppose I will have to stick with royler on land and the wyvern(named him caraxes, iykyk) when I want to just skip all roads and fly straight to the point.
What mounts do you guys travel on?

The final part of this chapter was pure cinema 🔥
Also, I wanted to watch the cutscenes again and clicked on the 1.0 chapter 9 YouTube video, it was so different.
It seems that the entire setting of the blood coronation has changed (I'm an enhanced player btw)

I bought this game pretty much right when it came out, however, I only gave it a few hours before dropping it. It did not impress me, its open world seemed like it was a mish mash of randomness, and its mechanics seemed like a jumbled mess.
HOWEVER
In the last month or so I gave it another chance after hearing about the Enhanced Edition and boy idk what exactly they did but the game is so much better. I feel more invested in expanding the Greymanes, the combat is incredible, exploration is rewarding, and the world feels alive. Sure some of the quirks still exist, but I’ve come to appreciate them (like the setting itself with the different races and such). This game is really shining to me now and it is helping the wait for GTA VI feel much shorter.
I’m glad I didn’t refund it and stuck it out for Pearl Abyss to really make this awesome comeback.

I’ve been thinking a lot about what makes this game so great - and there are too many things to mention - the world, the immersion, the depth, the number of a activities, the level of customisation
But all those things are also done well in other games
One thing stands out that pretty much no other game does well - in CD, if you can see an area of the map, you can go there
And I don’t just mean you can travel there over hours using your horse - taking a long winding road
You can climb
This seems simple but it’s a big part of those game. Most games don’t allow you to climb any cliff face, or any building etc. CD allows you to climb Any house or castle (and even sneak in the window!). Pretty much any structure. This is really a game changer and makes a big difference to how fun this game is to play
Just my 2c

Just started playing this on PS5 and oh boy, it reignited my passion for gaming because it’s been many years since I’ve enjoyed a game this much and have jumped on it consistently.
So I believe I am in chapter 3 (since they got rid of numbered chapters) and even though I regularly get notified that 2 or 3 inventory slots have been added as I progress, it’s gets full quickly.
My question is - is there anything I shouldn’t really need to hold on to? A lot of the time, I’m too far away from shops and on horseback and I’d rather explore than head back into a village but I never know what items may be useful or important later so I just hoard random shit that probably isn’t even important.
Once I get a flying mount, I’ll be more easily able to travel back and move inventory into storage but until then I’m enjoying exploring on horseback.
If it’s easier, you can name it by category like “Furniture”, so I know I can just dump most of it when I need more space.
Any other tips for easy storage or things like that for a beginner.
Thanks in advance!

Has anyone noticed that the Crimson Warden is referred as female (she's called "lassie") by the guy that gives you the quest, but in the Knowledge tab it's written as if the Crimson Warden was male? Am I misreading the entry?

After exploring probably 60-70% of the map, I have finally beaten the main story, and have begun my sightseeing trek across the world
I have started at sunset village and made my way through hernand and closing in on Pailune.
My plan is on a path to Paliune, then through demenis, then swing through delesyis, and back up north through the Crimson Desert.
Does anyone have any areas on the map that are must see views?
