Hi everyone! I'm conducting a High School research engineering project investigating wind buffeting when driving two-door coupes with the side windows open. I'm looking for current or recent owners of vehicles such as the Ford Mustang, Chevrolet Corvette, Camaro, Dodge Challenger, and other two-door coupes to share their experiences. The survey takes less than 3 minutes and asks about your vehicle, interest, and experience with wind buffeting. Heard that’s the best time to buy a car for the best discount but does that only apply to what they have on the lot or can that be applied to a custom order as well? Been watching macmulkins inventory but they don’t have what I want atm. Does anyone also know how frequently they get new vettes in ?

Took the car into the shop 3 times over this and had a different shop look the 4th time. I’m not a mechanically inclined person unfortunately so I’m at the mercy of shops. So far, the following have been replaced

- Both accessory drive belts
- Idler Pulley & Belt Tensioner

Harmonic Balancer confirmed to be have been okay. After the 3rd time, which was when the shop did a full inspection of the belt system but the shop came back and said everything was fine and that it was just a chirpy belt. They installed a Gates Belt but the noise immediately came back.

I went to a different shop and they came back saying they couldn’t see anything wrong with the car either…so Wtf? Idk what to do, I don’t wanna just replace random parts until something eventually works.

Anyone else struggle with this?

Gentlemen, I have just bought a 16’ 2LT Automatic Coupe w/ 70k miles. I bought 3year/36000mile warranty as well, didn’t want to risk my luck. All in all I still can’t believe it, I will pick it up tomorrow since they are detailing it.

‘01, 6sp, Mcleod clutch, MGW shifter, BTR stage 3 cam, Willys performance heads, kooks long tubes, full borla s type, vararam/slp blackwing, silvers neomax coilovers, C6Z rep wheels, misc engine dress up, vette lights everywhere excluding the KnightDriveTV headlights. Etc etc.

Does anyone know what part is missing. I think there should be a plastic clip here. Is this a vacuum line. Hard plastic line goes under the plenum, and rubber hose goes somewhere under the coolant tank toward the firewall

I have a 1982 Corvette that I had sitting for a few weeks due to an alternator issue. I got it replaced and everything tested well. I do have some minor oil leaks from the valve covers and I’m wondering if you think it just is oil burning. It happened about 30 seconds after starting the car.

The car is in an underground garage and curious what you think is best to get it to stop. Not sure if fully safe to drive it up that ramp haha

I'm looking to make a Christmas gift for a guy who has an immaculate C6. I have full access to a machine shop including laser engraver. I'm not fully up to speed on 5-axis or cnc programming yet so think something I could make on a manual lathe/mill/ surface grinder. My first thought was a custom shift knob or possibly a laser graved plate that could mount somewhere. I also can't be poking around this guy's car with a set of calipers so any help with measurements or schematics would be greatly appreciated. Last thing I wasn't to do is make something cool and a hole be off and it become shop wall decor.

i set my cv outt boot on fire don’t ask how lol i’m embarrassed. is it easier to replacing the boot or the entire axle? anyone got any experience with this problem lol? (2008 manual))
