I've greatly enjoyed all the previous episodes, but this one was an airball.
I largely feel it was rushed out for the dueling tournament. As the guy who had answers to important questions like does WSG have timers, Chris, is out of town in Germany per Aggrend. That sounds like a guy that should be on the PvP episode..
They didn't clarify any of the questions we got from the article that "explained" PvP progression at all.
• How long are seasons? How tight will the ranking window be?
• What are seasons? Why should someone re-rank?
• Are rewards largely going to be cosmetic? (New Mounts/Armor Transmog/Weapon Transmog/New Titles - Bloody High Warlord, Glorious Grand Marshal - similar to Arena Season Gladiator Titles) Will these be attainable later or are they going to be FOMO?
•Is the gear going to be more powerful? Have different resists (nature/frost/fire), or damage types (+beasts/elementals/undead)? How much more powerful?
etc
They didn't really speak about Racials at all. Which is another topic that's been addressed in many other threads, with some people feeling they need balance tweaking, to needing entire reworks.
My personal take is they should've removed Racial Specializations entirely, and made them arduous immersive roleplay quests that unlocked Character Specializations; take all of the min/maxing out of race selection, let us choose entirely based on looks and aesthetics, then we can min/max in game, like every other aspect of min/maxing.
Instead we just heard, basically; World PvP Cool, fight over materials, AV nerfed, Dueling Tournament special zone
