After about 20k population, money doesn't really matter anymore. Simulation goes bonkers after 100k, and most of the time is spent decorating the city. I know it is a sandbox game, but the game becomes too "blank slate" for me and I lose my sense of what to do, because there is no goal or problem to solve.

It is pretty much all stuck by the trucks.
The choking points are the entrance and exit. Any solution to this?

Why would they jaywalk at all instead of walking less than 10 seconds more? And why do cars stop at them and not agressivelt honk or run over them fools. It’s not that far and hard, right? I removed those crossings to lighten traffic but they keep jaywalking as if the crossing was still there thus no traffic lightened. How do I fix this?

How in the world can you have 32% unemployment and still collect millions in taxes consistently. A difference of only 5,000 jobs does not amount to 32%. Is this an issue that needs to be fixed or unemployment is counted in a way I wouldn't expect.

So pretty much every city I have made for the past six months has no demand for commercial. In the beginning I have demand but I build a few buildings and then it’s completely gone until I stop playing on that city. I have great public transport rent isn’t high I have factories producing things I have high population as well. Is there something I’m doing wrong? Is this a glitch in the game? I would appreciate some support if there’s something I can do or a mod to fix this.

I haven't played CS2 yet, but I plan to soon.
I really like SimCity 2013, precisely because you can build small cities on small maps (yes, unlike 99% of people, I think). Does CS2 have smaller maps? Maps that allow you to build small towns instead of huge, game-sized cities? This is also a matter of performance, and a personal preference. :)

of course, the classic 1 tile challenge. it actually turned out really nicely.. let me know what you think.

thats my opinion anyway, after playing COUNTLESS hours of cities skylines 1 on the ps4 since i was a kid (2017) and 60s hours of cities skylines 2, i can safely say that cities skylines 1s radio is better than cs2s radio.
i think that mainly boils down to the type of music on the radio, and the adverts on those radios. firstly the songs. i think the songs are... fine in cs2. they do the job i guess, they "exist" and they are all instrumental music. in cities skylines 1 you had fantastic songs on Cities Radio, Gold FM, and my favourite, Synthetic Dawn! the songs with lyrics especially have stuck with my all these years, especially the songs specifically on Gold FM, and Synthetic Dawn. god those radios are peak!!! on the other hand, cities skylines 2 doesn’t have any songs with lyrics, at least in the base game, instrumental songs are fire dont get me wrong but that kind of song will have a way less likely chance of me searching it up on youtube when im not playing the game lol
also, the Commercials. in CS1 the commercials played between songs ever so often and i never felt like turning them off because they all were so varied and unique. i even today remember the "Yakisoba! it Literally means Fried Noodles" and "Why not take a Little Bite when you can take a Big Bite" adverts while listening to the ingame radio. Cities Skylines 2s commercials on the other hand are almost entirely made of jingles that may be funny to listen to at first, they get old really quick.

Hello! I'm currently making an American Midwest city inspired build and it just hit 1956, so you know what that means... Highways bulldozing through the city :( Since I want to make this a realistic build I am implementing this unfortunate time, but if YOU have any ideas please give them! Remember, this is USA inspired, so there WILL be highways.
(these are the proposals the government has given so far)

This is my latest PNW inspired build. Extra points if you can guess the inspiration.
The transit hub is located under a large office building and pavilion. It includes a bus & tram loop that connects to a ferry terminal. Adjacent to the transit hub is an old shipyard that has been revitalized into a commercial hub and public space. There are pedestrian connections through the buildings and over roads going up the hill between the blocks. There's an old rail line that is still active but was covered by an arterial road including separated bike lanes. Up the hill from there is a park in the center of a couplet and bisected by an arterial with tram lines.
If you're curious to see more, this is part of the Civ Skylines collaborative series including Sunny Scunny, Generic Lemons and some amazing guest builders. Check out the latest episode here.

Loosely European, but I'm not being too strict. I tried to give the road structure an organic feel with more modern development moving outwards away from the water. Still deciding on a name...

Every once in a while you get the perfect angle of your downtown 😎 This is also my first build with an elevated Tram Line. If you know any mods where I can use elevated tram stops please let me know!

Using the traffic mod I cannot edit any intersections traffic lights, why? I can edit the turning lanes but not traffic lights?

I have for sure deleted enough buildings but when trying to see what achievements I had left, I had to do a double-take. I've tried verifying files, changing difficulties (even though easy and normal have no difference on achievements), tried also playing a ton of random assets and seeing if one in particular triggers it. The one ones I'm missing I guess I understand because I don't care to use the map editor tool or make an asset but this one HAS to be bugged, right?

This is my first city on CS2 :) Finally decided to try it after years of clinging to SimCity.
870k people, no mods, normal mode, but no disasters. Have really enjoyed the more flexible road building...stuff you'd probably expect me to say!
It's not the prettiest city and I've been a bit lazy with layout and zoning for nice layering but I like what i've done with the industrial regions. I wanted to keep as much forest as I could on the planes and build upwards instead. I randomly saw a picture of toronto (end of reel) and was kind of impressed how similar it is.
Anyway, i wanted to post it and i'm open to any ideas :) Thanks in advance.
Observations
If you're curious about how its running...I have a Microsoft Surface 2, no mods helps i guess? Medium graphics.

All official, no mods, traffic flow is good enough that Im still able to achieve 1x sim speed sometimes even 2x! Hoping to reach 1mil

I recently put a highway underground to save space in my city and get rid of noise pollution. I'm working on designing the first exit but it's hard to make it efficient and small at the same time. I've come up with a few designs and I would like all opinions and suggestions for them that you possibly have :) I put images of the ones I had in mind so far and an image of how the highway would look. This save they're built in is only an experimenting save

Built between 1930 and 1932, the first skyscraper in Italy and also one of the first skyscrapers in Europe. What I found most interesting about this building is that it ends up being very eclectic, even for those who are designing North American cities. And the reason is simple: it has influences from the Chicago school!
