Stack edit plus IHG/Virgin Hotel etc credit

I called Chase to book a virgin hotels that is also part of the edit collection. I asked if the credits can be stacked and the customer service rep said “no, they are separate credits and require separate stays”. This does not seem to line up with what I’ve seen online, but can anyone confirm or deny? I’m trying to use $500 cash and the rest 2x points boost and have the credits reimburse the cash portion

Beware Stubhub

Last week I was in Las Vegas with my GF and we decided to see Cirque du Soleil. I found two good seats together for just $298 and purchased them. I got the email confirmation from Stubhub and confirmation from Chase that my card had been charged. I figured great and that I'd get the $150 credit to boot.
An hour later I got an email that said my tickets were cancelled but by then I wasn't watching my email and so didn't find out until a couple of hours before the show. So now tickets directly through Cirque du Soleil for less good seats cost me $348 and of course did not earn me the $150 credit. I don't know why Chase would choose to have any association with Stubhub. It's only going to hurt their own reputation.

$4k to $75k for the year?

Hi,

Last month I signed up for another credit card (bilt) and have moved my spend away from csr. I just realized I'm $4k away from the $75k spend benefits , we are not southwest flyers but I suppose the chase store credit is worth something, not sure if the hyatt and ihg status has much value but we do stay at those hotels.

perhaps we could build a vacation around southwest (we are retired and travel a lot) but not many flights out of ny.

thoughts?

Redemption changes?

Did Chase change some of the hotels points redemptions on the travel portal? Two days ago the Windsor court in New Orleans was at 2x per point and it’s showing 1.25x back now? Looks like other hotels are at a similar redemption too

Alma hotel san diego

Wanted to get a recent data point. Had anybody stayed at the alma hotel in San Diego recently? Were you able to get both the hotel and edit credit? I saw that some users did get it, but it was over 6 months ago

I'm reading that the hotel changed from ihg to Marriott this year. However, the chase portal says it's eligible for ihg rewards. Thank you.

Inconsistent points?

Booked 3 plane tickets in 1 transaction on United using Paze. It gets split into 3 separate equal charges, but each one has totally different points earned (only bottom one is correct 14x)? I called, and they said that it should sort itself out in 1-2 billing cycles, which I don't totally believe and don't really want to have to try to circle back and remember...

JSX $200 offer vanished

A couple weeks ago I saw an offer on my Sapphire Reserve account that was $200 off JSX (the semi-private flight company). I added the offer at the time. I'm pretty sure the offer expired sometime in December.

The offer has now vanished from my account. I don't see it from a desktop computer or the Chase app. Has this happened to anyone else?

Accidentally forfeited Chase credit

A friend holds a Chase Sapphire Reserve card and used the portal to book a good deal on 5 seats to Seattle via Alaska Airlines. Fast forward to the trip and their oldest son has broken his hip and cannot travel. After lots of back and forth, Chase gives them monetary credit in exchange for the miles. They offered to provide a medical note, trying calling several times, no luck.

Fast forward, they are using the credit and book a one-way ticket, accidentially forfeiting the rest of the credit. They’ve called Chase without luck, Alaska without luck (they say it’s a Chase issue). Chase recommended they make a travel insurance claim?

I feel bad about this - I’ve been helping them use their miles/points, but I wasn’t aware of the potential to forfeit credit, as I’ve never booked through the portal.

Questions:

  • Has anyone done the same thing and successfully got Chase to reverse course?
  • Has anyone filed a travel insurance claim (I assume through the card’s insurance) successfully in a similar situation?

TIA!

Closing CSR right after first anniversary - bonus clawback and credit reversal questions

Hi all, I opened a Chase Sapphire Reserve on Nov 8/9 last year and plan to close it just after the first anniversary, since I don't want to pay the second annual fee. I'm living abroad and also have a Freedom Unlimited.

A few questions:
1. Has anyone closed right after the 12-month mark without losing the sign-up bonus? Any clawback?
2. If I use the dining credit this month, can it be reversed if I close within 90 days? Did that happen to anyone?
3. Did the annual fee refund work if you closed soon after it posted? How long did you have?
4. Any tips for moving or using points before closing, and for handling the call from outside the US?

Thanks, especially for recent experiences.

Doordash Promo CSR and CSR Business

I have both the CSR Personal and CSR Business.

Should I have the same benefits for both? Why when I used the CSR personal $15 off and tried to switch the CC to the CSR Business I had no coupon in my account?

Rental insurance coverage?

I’m thinking of getting the card…

Am I reading things correctly that I do without the rental car damage waiver?

If so, it seems like a no-brainer to get the card, I’m renting cars 5ish times a year, and I’d save around $100 a pop.

Follow-up question: how does CSR coverage mix with rental car coverage I have with State Farm? Any issues with them pointing fingers at the other?

Rental Car Insurance Benefit Help

I had an unfortunate situation arise this past weekend where I rented a car in the United States (CA) and someone completely totaled the vehicle while it was street-parked. We had legally street-parked and went to dinner nearby and came back finding the vehicle on the curb in really bad condition with another car completely flipped over. Cops and ambulances were on the scene. I rented and paid for the car with my Chase Sapphire Reserve.

The police (LAPD) gave me an incident number but didn't file a police report because they said there was no serious injury and told me to file one online myself. The cops were able to get the plates, drivers license number, name, address, and phone number of the person who crashed into my car but not the insurance information since the car was not safe to enter and the person didn't have the insurance information on their phone. The individual claimed they had insurance. I never met the individual since they were in an ambulance when I got to the scene.

When renting the car, I declined the Collision Damage Waiver and the Liability insurance for the original car that was hit. I live in New York City and do not have any form of car insurance (I don't own a car). We got the car towed through the rental company and had to pay a $500 deposit and then got a replacement rental. On the replacement rental, I opted into the collision waiver and liability insurance but it's a completely different car with a different contract. I was just scared in the moment and probably should have declined this for the second car? National still has not reached out to me about the original car. The car was rented with a business account number to waive the under 25 fee but it was paid for by me and used for personal reasons (company allows for this).

I immediately filed a police report and started a claim through the Chase Sapphire insurance page . I tried reaching out to the individual who collided into the parked rental car asking for insurance information but he's not responding to me :(

Is there anything information / things that I should do ahead of time to help in this case. I am scared to death I will be on the hook for the Jeep Wrangler that I rented.

Things I have done:

  • Took pictures of the rental car and the car that collided into the rental car.
  • Filed a police report explaining the situation that happened.
  • Requested the incident documentation linked to the incident ID the police gave to me (have not received it yet)
  • Have copies of the original rental agreement / deposit addendum / second rental car agreement.
  • Reached out to the individual by phone / text requesting insurance information (no contact from other party).

Best reasons to KEEP CSR

I've had this card for 4 years but no longer travel weekly for work, only pleasure travel with hopefully more in the near future (definitely international travel) because I am near retirement. I'm on top of the benefits (I think) and spend the >$75000/year thanks to college tuitions. My renewal is this month (oct) so I have nearly had a year before the big annual fee raise. This site and others talk a lot about downgrading and I've seen opinions that this is more of a "lifestyle" cc now rather than the "travel card" of the past.

Is anyone willing to give their opinions on WHO this card is really GOOD for? I know that I need to crunch my own numbers, but would love others' opinions. Thanks in advance.

$10 Doordash Credit

IF YOU HAVE NOT UPDATED DOORDASH, do not do it! 7-Eleven started forcing a $20 pickup minimum, which makes the $10 Doordash credit useless. If you still have the old version, try to keep it as long as you can. You can still place orders normally and apply the $10 credit to any order. I accidentally updated mine.

(PS does anyone know where I can find an APK for Doordash? Preferably one from 2025?)

How to generate referral from CSR Business card?

Hi,

My P2 has the CSR for Business card and looking to referral me to get the Ink Business Preferred. However, when I went to the "Rewards and benefits" on P2's Chase app, the regular "Refer a friend" doesn't show up. I even try to go to the Chase website, enter card details but it still said it's not available. Does anyone know what's going on or is there a special way to generate referral link from CSR business card? Thank you!
