Test your Catan skills!
Which position is the best starting settlement? Image is attached in comments, for some reason you can’t post both an image and a poll.

We're playing boats and land finders :D
White is kinda hard to see : he's on the island by the right side.

I made a Reddit account just to post this. My wife handmade Catan from Clay… the sheep have FACES. The trees are GORGEOUS. The wheat is LUCIOUS. She thought I would want to play a game on it. This will never be touched by any other soul.

Making this a series because the first part was somewhat too easy. Hopefully this one will have more mixed responses. The board is in the comments!
(You have first pick)

Is it just me or do others also play a longer game. Like m n my family we play first to 15 just to make it a bit harder and longer to finish

Well this was interesting! Took a few rounds to get a grasp of (most) of the new rules, but we still found out halfway that we were playing the barbarians wrong (whoops!). Also noticed a few rounds after that blue mistakenly placed two settlements right next to one another, but we let it slide because we didn't notice right away.
All in all, this was a long game - took nearly 3 hours! There are some nice mechanics, like the city walls, that are fun, and the city developments really sped things up towards the end. Everyone enjoyed it, though, so that's what matters, and I think well be able to play through a little quicker next time.
