Finally took the delivery of 7XO after a wait of 2 months, booked at almost 4 showrooms, had to go to a showroom 200km away just to get it delivered on 15th Oct (It’s my dad’s birthday)!

I am planning to buy my first car under my company car lease with max salary reduction I can afford max 60k which comes to car costing around 19-20 lakhs in Bangalore. And would appreciate help from everyone on this topic.

In this I want to buy Automatic only (Bangalore traffic) and need good ground clearance (>180 mm at least to account for bad roads), 5 star safety, rear wipers and a peppy engine.

I would also love to have ventilated seats (very hot in my home town) and 360 camera as this would be my first car as I recently learnt driving and plan to teach my wife too once I buy it. I also want something which is low maintenance and not be stuck with expensive maintenance bills for small repairs or be stuck with poor part availability.

I am a low usage person as I walk to work primary usage would be travelling with wife and new born within city majority on weekends and monthly home town drive to Tirupati (250kms one way) and occasional road trips. I want to be able to use the car for 8-10 years and maybe give it my dad if it works well after that too. Also also travel within city with parents whenever they are visiting.

Considering all these initially thought of kylaq but Skoda maintenance cost, low rear space and poor mileage made me drop it. Dont want to buy Mahindra as well.

Thinking about getting Hyundai venue HX10 (Changed from HX8 considering the front parking sensors and better music system) but I am wondering if Seltos HTK(O) makes more sense considering it has more space but only concern was the NA engine power seems a bit low and driving a bigger car without 360 camera also makes me a bit anxious and venue seems easier to drive for me although spending that much on 19-20 lakhs looks too much as well.

I have Nissan Magnite XE car bought for second-hand and I had bought ACKO Car Insurance.

I had met with an accident where the car fell and was flipped. After the incident, the Nissan Workshop provided a draft of total repair cost and the surveyor has also provided the repair estimation. However I know how much garage has provided for repair cost and it has crossed total IDV in huge percentage. The surveyor has not shared the total repair estimate.

However, ACKO have provided the repair cost which covers only 40% of what garage had provided the estimation. I had talked with surveyor and even he agreed that ACKO provided estimation is incorrect and this argument between ACKO, surveyor and garage has been going for one month.

Plus, ACKO doesn't provide latest update as well on what the claim situation is and the garage is not agreeing to accept the repair estimate provided by ACKO.

I had multiple calls with ACKO grevience and my handler and they are not agreeing with either Total Loss or Higher repair cost as well.

I really need help with this as I have not much knowledge of Car Insurance claim process and such.

Altroz ,,nexon and baleno are prime examples. They resembled their concept versions and were really beautiful now the facelift is like a jaggered edge with smooth body from side and back. It clashes with the design so badly. In a way I am happy honda didn't massively updated the elevate because it's perfect. Updates are ruining car personality.

Current Garage:

1. 2018 Toyota Innova Crysta 2.8 Diesel AT: Absolute tank, and our primary family vehicle. But it’s starting to feel aged/outdated on tech and interior feel.

2. 2022 Skoda Slavia 1.0 TSI: Bought used in 2024. Great dynamics and punchy drive, but the seat comfort on long highway trips is really killing the experience for me. Not enjoying it anymore.

(Context: We already have an XUV700 and a Harrier in the extended family garage, so looking beyond those).

1. Primary care should replacing the crysta

The Toyota Dilemma (Replacing the Crysta)

We’ve been loyal Toyota buyers for decades (Qualis → Innova → Crysta). We skipped the Fortuner twice in the past due to budget constraints, but now I have a solid ₹40–45L budget ready.

My hard requirement is that the primary car must be a rugged, body-on-frame style SUV that is 100% abuse-tolerant and zero-maintenance. That’s why I’m ruling out luxury badges or soft crossovers for this slot—I just need fill-it-shut-it-forget-it peace of mind.

Naturally, the Fortuner is the default pick, but sitting in one today at ₹45L+ on-road feels painfully barebones and outdated for that kind of money.

1. The Second Car (Replacing the Slavia):

The eventual goal in 2 years is a clean pre-owned BMW 630d GT. Right now, stretching ₹25L won't cut it because the used luxury market in Gujarat is inflated (dealers quoting ₹44–48L for 2020–21 50k km 630ds).

Main questions

1. What to do with the Slavia right now?

Should I just cut my losses, sell it, and get a used Thar (or Thar Roxx diesel AT) around ₹15–16L just for the fun factor for the next 18–24 months until I pull the trigger on the 6 GT?

How bad will the depreciation hit be? If I pick up a clean used Thar diesel AT around ₹13–15L today and flip it in 2 years, how much hit should I realistically factor in? With the 5-door Roxx out, is the 3-door resale tanking faster?

2.Hold the Crysta 2.8 for 6–8 months and wait for upcoming launches?

If the next-gen Fortuner doesn’t show up, should I just keep driving the Crysta 2.8 for another 6–8 months and see how the upcoming JSW Jetour T2 shapes up? That boxy Defender-esque look is tempting, but is it suicidal to move from Toyota reliability to a brand-new entrant with zero established service track record in India?

1. How is the Kia Sorento as an option?

Has anyone here actually taken delivery or done extensive highway test drives? On paper, the hybrid and diesel packages look loaded, and the cabin feels leagues ahead of the Fortuner. But coming from 20 years of bulletproof Toyotas, how does long-term reliability and rough-road use hold up?

Is this a good deal?

I want to buy this its first owner scratch-less car.

Should I pull the trigger after getting a 3rd party pdi done from a good reputable pdi company?

Also how’s experience with spinny if any of you have bought something from them

I am confused between kia sonnet and 3xo for long term running. Mostly city driving like day to day work, office and sometime long running very rare. Does not like brezza coz of low features. Kylaq will be more costlier in terms of service and maintenance. And tata nexon not considering this because tata service issue and touch pannel of nexon I don't feel much comfortable. Please someone help me out
