Does anyone have any opinions on Anthony Oshinuga vs Wai Chan for differential equations? Wai Chan has better RMP reviews but his class is a bit too early for my 1 1/2 hour commute 😵‍💫

Is it difficult to quality or to get accepted when you apply for a W or WU on the Serious and Compelling Petitions application? My reason is just financial instability forcing me to pick up jobs and it overwhelmed me to the point where I dont think I can handle this class. Where are all the cool Halloween events at? Doesn’t even need to be on Halloween but like the weekends before too. Not frat parties but places with college aged people. Last year my roomies and I went to a bar and it was all middle aged people and the dj played niche 90s/2000s music which wasn’t the vibe. Also not trying to go LA but willing to drive a little.

This is my second year at cpp. I want to major in Sociology. Any advice on how to study for tests, take notes, and not procrastinate? Is there a sociology club? When is it?

My plan was to go to Cal Poly Pomona, but my major is impacted (Computer Science). I was only able to apply for the Fall 2027 semester, which is a year from now. Any acceptance letter telling me the school's decision would be long after classes start again at one of the Cal State campuses, and all of the Cal States require me to make a decision by November 1st, so in a couple of weeks. Really not sure what the smarter choice is between attending one of the Cal States with an acceptable CS program until I hear back, trying to get work in the field if possible until then, or maybe an internship for the time being. Was anyone else in a similar position? Any advice would be appreciated!
