Im mainly a duty gun guy and I can tell this is more of an enthusiasts range toy than anything. What should I know and what should I look to do to her in the future?

I have an opportunity to purchase a CZ 75 Shadow sku 91715 locally. How do they compare to the current shadow 2 and is this model still a good buy today? I couldn’t find much on this model as this model seems to be discontinued.

I’ve carried a CZ P07 for about 8 years now and picked up the P09c Nocturne to replace it. I bought the SP-01 two years ago to be my full sized gun and carry with my gun belt when I teach courses but I think it’s about to be replaced with the P-01 omega I picked up yesterday. If I could get a 10mm CZ I’d use that to replace the S&W PC 10mm I carry when I hunt or hike out west. I’ve seen the Tanfoglio 10mm and I’m curious but price tag is steep when I already have a good 10mm.

Hey everyone,
I have a CZ Shadow 2 Compact SE, and I'm having trouble releasing the slide using the slide stop with my thumb.
The slide stop feels very stiff. With the magazine removed, I can press it down with the thumb of my other hand, but using my dominant hand's thumb is much harder. It seems even harder when the magazine is inserted.
Is this normal for a new Shadow 2 Compact SE? Does the slide stop loosen up with use, or should I have it checked?
I'd appreciate hearing from other Shadow 2 Compact owners. Thanks!

Does anyone know if CZ Custom or CGW do any Black Friday deals? I am guessing not since I haven’t found any threads about it on here or r/gundeals.

I'm looking for holster recs for a SP-01 tactical. Planning to get it milled for a holosun EPS and I'm running a Braun WML on it, any good holsters that accommodate both? would also be nice if the holster held a backup mag

Tried to add some distinction to my urban grey S2 and went with transfer grey for the small parts. It was a good project to learn the internals of the pistol with a complete tear down.

I just purchased this a few weeks ago, and just added the LOK magwell, and grips. I was honestly not expecting these grips to be as aggressive as they are. I highly recommend them! They change the entire feel of the pistol and they are grippier than Mia Khalifa in her prime days. Also, I may send this in to cajun gun works. Just wondering if it’s necessary given it’s a daily carry pistol... any red dot suggestions are appreciated.

Current carry vs a pre b example i had the pleasure of playing with this weekend
Biggest difference is recoil and trigger, both are wonderful quality and its awesome to see a company that dosent slack over the years.
Trigger on the pre b was excellent. Insanely smooth obviously from the factory, it being a safty model and the fact that its been well worn in through years of use.
I love my po1 and wouldnt carry another gun as of this moment but the decocker definatly effects the trigger. The compact size and light rail brings it up to whats expected of a modern carry gun
Overall get a po1 for carry, also get a pre b for carry for the s&g but also because they are great shooters.

I received these in today from the Czech Republic. These are machined aluminium grips that, as I understand it are clones of the Retro grips. I put them on my CZ75B and I absolutely love them, although some of it is for nostalgia since my first ‘75 was a Pre B. Regardless I absolutely love how they look on my 75B!

Just picked up from my LGS. First CZ and first ported. Coming over from brand X and the dark side. Taking it to the range on Friday.
It came with the S backstrap from the distributor.

After waiting for far too long I finally got this thang. She’s a sturdy one that’s for sure.

After my purchase of the .45 P10, I went to my local gun show just to see what I could see and maybe shift my saint victor ar pistol.
Nothing really tickled my fancy until I found this for sale at the used counter. Looks like the previous owner ran MAYBE a box through the thing, lost his optic plate cover (the one on it is from the .45 which is close) and sold it for a pittance.
Ended up trading my saint victor for this, the evo and +100 for the OSIGHT R. I think I came out ahead on that deal if you ask me. The saint victor had some issues and really didn’t fill the niche I was hoping it would.
Stock P10 was reasonably accurate at 25. I was in the 9ring more or less.
In the EVO, the thing is a tack driver. Especially once I got it sighted in with that OSIGHT. this will be my new truck gun.
.45 P10 will fit, but it’s tight tight. I do plan on trying it however soonish.

I was switching out the decocker to the Saftey it came with. When I was putting the Saftey switches in I noticed that it had this little spring at the base of the base of the switch. When I put it in wirh the spring it wouldn’t work. It would just go off with enough pressure on the trigger and it would spin past the two dots. When I take it out it works like it should and doesn’t spin past its two dots for safe and unsafe.
I have it without the spring right now and the o my big down side I can notice is that the Saftey isnt firm and can be easily moved on and off and it doesn’t make a clicking noise when I turn the Saftey on and off

I love the idea of upgrading old guns to modern standards and would like to do the work myself. Was wondering how hard it would be and personal experiences from those who tried.
I only upgraded my Aug before, haven’t touched pistols.

I spent good time looking at instructions and videos of a trigger swap for SP-01. I also spent a lot of time getting anxiety over tools and work bench etc after seeing all the photos of bent punches and reading stories of people ”whacking” to drive the dreaded trigger pin out.
Bought a 15€ punch set today, after which kept thinking if they were of suitable quality. Not having a work bench or any sort of garage option at home, decided to use a roll of tape and top of a drawer as my gunsmithing den.
Took the 2mm starter punch, trusty old Stanley hammer and carefully positioned the punch on the pin with gun laying on it’s side on the roll of packing tape.
Took a breath and decided to give it a gentle tap to begin with… and the pin was halfway out. Switched to longer 1.5mm punch and gave another tap. Now I had the pin hanging from the opposite side hole. I used the new free float pin to finish it off.
I installed the new +10% Eemann Tech trigger return spring by pushing it in place with a large punch while holding my pinky finger as a cover in case the punch slips and trigger spring ejects at mach fuck towards my eye.
Now the trigger is straight and nice. Reset is really strong, it actually snaps on your finger.
So, my pin was not staked or did I just get lucky? Honestly spent two months trying to figure out when I would have time to visit my friends workshop to get this done. It took less than 10 minutes in total at home and I’ve never done something like this before.
