Placement Do people get placed at airports from IIM?

I want my workplace to be so good that i would atleast love to go tthere everyday.
So i justtt wanted to ask if people get good/high earning jobs at airport through direct placements att IIM?
I just dont want to work in corporates like in bengluru, pune, gurugram or whatever.
I want my workplace to be Airport or 5star hotel. I know people hire for 5star hotels directly through placements.
I want tto know about airports. and if new or baby IIMs also provides such opportunities or not.

Ask Me Anything! AMA - Current MDI Gurgaon (2nd Year) student [GEM - 24 months work ex]

I completely understand this time of the year is super stressful for people who are struggling with scores and questions, was exactly there in your shoes. I will try to give realistic answers and not some superficial motivation.

Edit : I understand, people asking questions about placements, but it’s something that is unnecessary to ask during this time, you will get enough time for all of it later. I will only reply to CAT preparation related questions. Thanks!!

Profile Review CAT 2027 aspirant here need advice on preparation, profile, and realistic B-school targets

Hi everyone! I'm planning to appear for CAT 2027 and would appreciate some advice on preparation.

I'm currently pursuing CSE degree at a tier 2 clg, graduating in September 2027. My profile is 93% in 10th, 80.4% in 12th, and 9.58 CGPA in college. I'm a fresher and belong to the General category.

I'd love suggestions on how to start preparing, which resources or coaching (if any) are worth it, and what CAT percentile I should realistically target for the top IIMs and other good B-schools.

Any advice from CAT aspirants or MBA students would be really helpful. Thanks!

General Discussion Need help for CAT 2027 prep..

Hii guyss.. I have recently started my CAT 2027 prep from YouTube videos so I was thinking is coaching really that necessary,if so should I go for online/offline coaching or should I just go buy mocks without the coaching...my academic profile is a 8/8/9 ..will be graduating next year ...so I need to score 99.%ile+ to get a good B school

I'm from a non- mathematics background so I'm particularly looking for a coaching that can help someone who may not have a strong mathematical/quantative background..also if not then can I like just study from yt and then just go for mocks...

Can't decide rn please help😭😭Also it's like I'm okay with doing self-study but the thing is I don't wanna regret afterwards that should've got coaching and all so pleasee suggest what should ...also how should I start my prep 😭🥲

General Discussion How difficult are Cr@cku/IMS LRDI sectionals compared to actual CAT? Do others find them easy too?

I have been solving DILR sectionals from IMS and Cr@cku. And i find their difficulty not at par with CAT. Which is making it difficult to judge where i stand in my prep. Most of the sets seem solvable. I avoid giving the initial 3 sectionals bc i think they are generally easy, but the later ones are easy as well. 4/5 sets are doable. 1 is moderate difficult. And i know this is not going to be the case in actual CAT. So like do you guys think the same or am I just overthinking about it😭😭.

B) 90
C) 120
D) 180

🎯 Test your fundamentals before moving to harder CAT questions!

✅ Correct Answer: C) 120

Solution:

Find the least common multiple (LCM):

Last-month CAT/XAT strategy
XLRI and XAT Decision Making
GD-PI from an interviewer's point of view
Engineer → MBA, work-ex, and life after

I'll be around tonight and will reply to everyone. 🙂

My scores - CAT - 99.71, XAT - 99.63, SNAP - 99.99, IIFT - 99.87

Mock Reviews / Discussion 🎯 Scoring low in Dashcats

I've been scoring in 30-40s in dashcats. I've given 8 dashcats till now. Before that, I did PYQs of last 5-6 years as sectionals and I was doing well in them.

In PYQs, I was mostly scoring around VARC (30-35), DILR (1.5 sets) and 8-9 attempts in qa. I didn't know if dashcats are really that hard or I'm missing something in my prep.

Here is the current scenario in dashcats - Varc (20-25), attempts got reduced to 14, DILR - not able to go beyond 1 set and sometimes messes up set selection and result is 0 sets. In QA, my attempts doesn't go beyond 5-6 attempts. Especially, their qa seems to have very few sitters, even their arithmetic has very lengthy questions which takes a large chunk of time to solve.

I don't know what to do, I'm losing faith in myself, in my prep. Any advice would be appreciated.

Question 🧠 CAN YOU SOLVE THIS TIME-AND-WORK QUESTION?

A can complete a job in 15 days, while B can complete the same job in 10 days. How many days will they take to complete the job working together?

A) 5 days
B) 6 days
C) 7.5 days
D) 12 days

💬 Drop your answer in the comments!

✅ Correct Answer: B) 6 days

Solution:

A's one-day work = 1/15

B's one-day work = 1/10

Combined work per day:

1/15 + 1/10 = 1/6

Therefore, they complete the job in 6 days.

Question Need Advice: CAT Preparation Alongside a Job After UPSC Attempts

Hey everyone, I’m a 24M currently unemployed. I have appeared for three UPSC CSE attempts and cleared Prelims this year. Due to some personal reasons, I now need to start earning and am actively looking for a job, possibly in sales, with a monthly salary of ₹25,000 or more.

Alongside my job, I’m considering preparing for CAT, with the aim of securing admission to a good MBA college and eventually getting a job with a package of around ₹15 LPA. I’m flexible about the institute and don’t have a specific college in mind.

My academic profile:

  • Class 10: 95%
  • Class 12: 94%
  • B.Sc. Mathematics: 8.23 CGPA

I have a few questions and would really appreciate advice from people familiar with CAT and MBA admissions:

  1. CAT vs UPSC Prelims: How competitive is CAT compared to UPSC Prelims in terms of difficulty, competition, and the preparation required?
  2. Chances of admission: Given my academic profile and background, what are my realistic chances of getting into a good MBA college that offers placement packages of around ₹15 LPA?
  3. Impact of work experience: If I take up a sales job while preparing for CAT, will it improve my profile, have little impact, or potentially affect my chances of admission? How much weightage do MBA colleges generally give to work experience?
  4. Preparing alongside a job: Is it realistically possible to prepare for CAT while working a full-time job, especially in a sales role that may involve long or unpredictable working hours?
  5. Overall strategy: Given my circumstances, would you recommend pursuing CAT while working, and what should I keep in mind while choosing a job?

I understand that CAT results, college selection criteria, and placements depend on several factors. I’m looking for realistic advice about my chances, the colleges I could target, and the best way to approach this transition.
