Question Come si può dare la migliore qualità di vita ad un coniglio?

• Upvotes

Quanto dovrebbe uscire, cosa mangiare?

Health Please help my bunny NSFW

First I want to apologize if this is the wrong subreddit or I put the wrong flair, but I'm really worried about my bunny. I just came back home and I saw there's this brown thing near him, and he's got this bald spot next to his tail. He's one year old, I really need anyone who can tell me if there's something wrong with him.

If a bunny dies because its sick is it the owner's fault because bunnies hide their sickness like very well I think so is the owner at shame

Question Hay and food question

So I get my hay from my lawn with an electric weed whacker. It's a mix of fresh hay and grass, and I leave it to sun dry and then back it into very, VERY breathable bags. However, there are wild bunnies that come to enjoy some yummies in my yard as well. I'm wondering if, with the RHDV2 vaccine for my future bun, if the hay I'm using will be okay for them? This hay is free of pesticides and other unknown greenery. Can I use this for my rabbit? I'm open to buying food if not.

Cross posting to get as much feedback as I can!

TLDR: bun has the chillest temperament and her vet and I have discussed her becoming a therapy bunny. We’d go visit patients in hospital or residents in homes.

Approved Bun Artist🎨 What to get a bunny who hates his toys

Post image
27 Upvotes

I bought and made a shit ton of toys for him since he's quite bored. I bought him a woven vine toy, which he loves... the rest? He HATES, like, full-blown tantrums. I surrendered and just play fetch with the ball. Unfortunately, I can't do that when he is in a playful mood all the time since I am often out for my classes. I feel kinda bad that he is always alone and has no one to spend time with. I thought he would be bored and tear up the house, like nibble on the expensive furniture and shit... but he hasn't done that... except to terrorize the cables and wires (which my roommate always forgets to tidy up).

I forgot to put away some cardboard boxes a few weeks ago. (Don't judge; I was going through hell for a month because of my thesis). I was wondering why he hasn't come up to me for cuddles and to play fetch whenever I am at home these past few days...guess who has been tearing through the cardboard boxes? BOBBIT!!! Guess he prefers boxes instead of the shit ton of toys I bought.

Health Nose whistling?

My bun is a very floofy dwarf bun and she has a bit of mioclusion but her vet said her teeth look great after looking and using everytime the cone tool to look and we come in every 3-6 months ish. Shes sensitive to dust so ive always had an airpurifier out specifically by her hay and liter box in the living room (her domain)

Recently ive noticed when she gets excited smelling something or stressed her nose makes little whistling noises and sometimes even snorting noises when shes stressed (if this happens I immediately stop what im doing give her a treat and dim the room a bit and she chills) Sometimes she makes little tiny squeaky noises when reaching her head around her body to clean near her butt by the back of her legs. She occasionally makes these noises when shes super happy when im petting her or when shes excited about watermelon or banana.

Given the times she makes these noises its something that is a little worrying. Any other animal I wouldnt think anything of it. Ive heard cats make the same noises when their sniffing something. The snorting part is completely new though.

She her attitude and energy hasnt changed, her eyes are a little goopy at times but ive been cleaning more and I sent pics to her dr and he said the goopiness can be normal but dust more often shake her hay out and get an air purifier. No nose discharge and the eye goopies are completely clear and dont smell.

Am I just worrying for no reason? Or just monitor it?

Art Memorial| Max is coming home in a different way🌈

This is a felted bunny I recently made in memory of Max. 🌈

Max has crossed the Rainbow Bridge, and his family wanted to find another way to keep him close.

His mom once described him to me like this:
“Max was my first pet that I had full responsibility for and he was definitely my soul bunny. I’ve never seen another bunny quite like him.”

His fur had such unique markings, with gray and white scattered unevenly across his body. But what stood out to me the most were his beautiful blue eyes with their tiny pupils.

Max’s mom also sent me some of the fur he left behind. I carefully incorporated some of his real fur into the sculpture, so this little bunny would carry a tiny piece of Max with him.

We can’t turn back time or truly hold on to the ones who have left us. But with our hands, we can turn the love, memories, and little details that made them who they were into something we can touch, look at, and keep close for years to come.

Max found his way home in another form.

Rest in parsley, sweet Max. 🤍🐰🥬

i took your guys advice and well fed him on hay, got a little bit of greens, some rabbit food as well and some water all throughout the day slowly now giving me his late night kiss.

and on his brother Yin (he basically eats anything and everything, zooms around my house and naps anywhere slightly above room temperature lol ) so i would assume he is showing good signs of settling in my home

thank you for everyone who helped me with my boys :)

Why does he keep licking my bedsheets and pillows? 😭😭 he’s done it in my brothers room as well. I saw somewhere it means he’s grooming me and thinks my sheets are me but he won’t lick me just my sheets.

Question How much have you spent on your rabbit already?

Post image
163 Upvotes

For me I think it’s around $500+ because of his first vet visit being $200 already and then his setup and ofc HIM 😅😓…

Had to drive 4 hours to get him so the gas prices weren’t nice to me.

(Worth it tho)

Question Any help Appriciated

Hi all im looking for some help regarding our buns new (OPEN) pen. We have to have them in there throughout the night as hes very mischievous come nighttime haha

We have places mats down but he keeps digging it up and eating bits of it over night! as you can see if photo. I cannot think of anything to help pin it down i was wondering if anyone has any recommendations. We tuck it right under his little hut everyday where the corner isnt visible (comes outside of pen) but he just goes at it and gets it eventually.

I would appreciate any recommendations please! Thanks 🐰
