So there was a stupid discussion in a thread a couple months ago where I wanted to use the Bomberman act zero skins in halo. I made a mod for MCC that uses the act zero skin and only grenades.
Long live bomberman. I think I might take it a little further and add a dumb plot and some more levels.

After I found Cat bomber from Neo Bomberman i gave that game a try.
I found the Pre rendered graphics and Voice acting very cool. After I have beaten the Game I played more than 15 times and i managed to beat the game without a game over.
And i did some fan arts throughout the week.
And well, after I started drawing Bomberman characters I got a different way of drawing. If i do a simple sketch, therefore I Could do Bomberman characters and Vice versa.
(That's why there's an unrelated character in there).

Hi!! I just made the Panic Bomber stage 2 with the soundfonts of the turbografx game. What do you think? I made this only using my ear xD

Hey! I grew up with Bomberman 64 and always loved its soundtrack. About 10 years ago, some of you liked my Blue Resort remix, but I never finished the rest… until today :)
So I finally sat down and remixed some of my favorite tracks with a mix of electronica and DnB. The video is also made entirely by myself in Blender.
Full playlist also on Soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/arekuza/sets/bomberman-64-replayed
Which Bomberman 64 track should I remix next? 💣

I'm talking about the flat, no-shadows, no-specular-highlights, Power Puff Girls-art style by Hideyuki Takenami. His most famous contribution in the video games space is arguably on SEGA's Puyo Puyo games (where his art fits much better imo), but as for Bomberman, it only started with Super Bomberman R in 2017.
After a little bit of digging, I found out that the reason Takenami was picked as art director seems due to his relationship with the producer and driving force behind the SBR games, Noriaki Okamura. They first worked together on a 3DS game called 'Doctor Lautrec and the Forgotten Knights' (I played it, it's awful) and later on the Okamura-helmed revival of Hudson's 'Momotarou Dentetsu' series, a JP-exclusive board game franchise that sells gangbusters with every release - so I guess Takenami is just his go-to guy for art.
One thing I always appreciated about Bomberman's design is how simple yet effective it is, anybody can draw a decent Bomberman character. There was no reason to simplify Bomberman's design even further in this new style. I just think Takenami's art in Bomberman looks flat, cheap and ugly.
My guess is that most Bomberman fans prefer the older art direction but don't care enough to speak out, which is a shame because, as surprising as it may sound, Konami actually seems to listen to feedback from fans: When Silent Hill 2 Remake was first shown off the character designs were poorly received. So, much like the Sonic movie, the game was then delayed and the designs were changed to the satisfaction of virtually every Silent Hill fan.
The Super Bomberman R games may have other more serious issues, from questionable level design/progression, unpleasant writing (and who came up with the horrible idea of making all Bomberman characters talk constantly?? they should have short voice lines like 'I did it!' - nothing more than that), but let's just stick with the art direction for this discussion.
So, I know this is far from representative, but I'm genuinely curious who actually prefers the new SBR art style to the old one - and WHY?! /rant

I always feel like Black and Red would have a sibling rivalry between each other. Like they would both get into arguments about who's the best Bomberman. So here's Black provoking Red and White trying to hold him back, knowing how aggressive he can get.
Those two are lucky Aqua isn't in the room 'cause we all know how she feels about violence...

Just came across a Bomberman-inspired game on mobile called Bomber Rumble and I’m kinda enjoying it.
It’s basically the classic Bomberman but with special characters that have their own abilities. It felt pretty chaotic in a good way.
It says the game is currently in Early Access. Has anyone else tried it? What do you think?

Up front: this was made with an AI coding agent. Both the reverse engineering and the new code were done with Claude Code (Anthropic's coding agent), which I directed.
Atomic Bomberman is the 1997 PC Bomberman by Interplay: ten players on one screen, chaotic powerups, and a lot of shouting. It was written for Windows 95, and its network mode used IPX and serial cables, so playing it with friends today is a chore.
So this project does two things:
Version 1.0 is now out for Linux and Windows.
GitHub (source, downloads, documentation): https://github.com/elraro/atomic-bomberman
No original files are included, and you don't need them. With no copy of the original on your machine, the game runs on its own free set of graphics, sounds, music and arenas. All of it is generated by the program's own code: little robots instead of the original characters, synthesised sound effects, even synthetic robot voices.
If you own the original (installed, or the CD), one command imports its data and you get the original graphics, sounds, music and every original arena.
The original's network code was not reproduced. The new mode is client-server over TCP/UDP:
This is an unofficial, non-commercial fan project. It is not affiliated with Interplay, Hudson Soft or Konami.
Bug reports and feedback are very welcome on GitHub.

Hello, it's my first time here.🙂
I have played the Super Nintendo games of Bomberman.
After i found the B. Bee theme of Bomberman 2 and talked with a coworker.
I have seen the community sometimes.
And the characters became interesting the more I saw them.
And one day i thought about drawing Honey and Kotetsu doing some cool poses.
It's been years since I took a broader look than playing the Bomberman 5 and 1.
