hey all, i'll be joining amazon soon in bellevue and i'm looking for someone to share a 2b2b with. looking to start the lease on november 1st. if you have any leads or if you're interested, please let me know.
Hi all! I work in one of the medical offices on 116th, and I’m not sure if it’s just confirmation bias or not, but I’ve noticed a LOT of either For Lease, For Sale, or Proposed Land Use Action signs popping up along that street.
I moved to Washington just over a year ago so maybe there’s lore I’m missing out on. Does anyone know what’s going on? Or am I just suddenly noticing these signs that have been here all along?
We live on the east side and are looking at the area French immersion schools—FASPS, FISW, and Les Lilas—for our preschooler. We’ve already started visiting schools. I’m curious to hear from area parents who visited these schools and have some experience with them which one you chose over the others and why. I’d also love to hear your impressions good and bad on any of the schools you or someone you know has experience with. It’s a lot to process and they are all quite different, so any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks in advance! I know not all the schools are in Bellevue specifically, so I’ll cross-post to those cities, too.
Fatal car & bicycle collision this morning at the intersection in front of South Bellevue Station on the way to the I-90/I-405 ramps. No detail on the cause. Gut wrenching.
Please be careful and considerate out there, everyone.
I’m a big fan of Elvis Tribute Artists (ETAs) and would love to connect with other fans around Redmond or the Eastside.
Are there any fellow fans here who might be interested in getting a small group together to check out an upcoming local show or tribute night? Also open to recommendations for any great ETA performers or venues around the Puget Sound area!
Feel free to comment or reach out if you'd be interested!
Forget ghosts, goblins and things that go bump in the night. We've got four letters that'll send a shiver down any driver's spine: B-U-S-Y.That's right, another weekend of closures is creeping up on us.
Inspired by true (upcoming) events. Rated B for BUSY. Coming to a freeway near you Oct. 16–18:
NB I-405 CLOSED in Bellevue
- Closed between SE 8th St to NE 4th St. from 11 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16 to 4 a.m. Monday, Oct. 19. Crews will pave, install concrete panels and set an overhead sign structure.
NB I-5 CONTINUED LANE CLOSURES across Ship Canal Bridge in Seattle

EB I-90 LANE REDUCTIONS in Snoqualmie
- Two right lanes of EB I-90 closed from east of SR 18/Snoqualmie Parkways to SE N Bend Way, 6 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 17 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18. Maintenance crews will use this closure make bridge deck repairs.
You know that friend who looks over at you right before the jump scare in a horror movie? Yeah, that's us. Except instead of ruining the movie, we're giving you a heads-up about weekend closures. Check the travel maps, know your route before you go and give yourself extra time to get to that pumpkin patch.
Will the I-405 construction ever end? Traffic is horrific all times of the day. All types of weather. Side streets are just as bad. Where are all these people going at all times of the day?
Had something shocking happen to me today. Strange man started following closely basically stamping my shoes from back and shouting at me for a block outside Paris baguette downtown Bellevue . I practically managed to not turn back and walk as fast as I can and not engage or trigger him for any reason. There were people walking on other side of the road but nobody turned or said anything. He followed me for a block so closely, screamed and walked away. This happened in evening when so many people are leaving after work. What should we do when these kind of things happen?
Hi everyone! Looking for recommendations for hands-on STEM classes, workshops, or local centers for a child turning 7.We want to avoid general robotics/Lego programming and instead focus on:
Tinkering & physical engineering: Building, tactile invention, and understanding how hardware works.
Questions:
Are there specific local academies, maker spaces, or enrichment programs that offer dedicated electricity/electronics modules tailored for early elementary kids (ages 6–8)? TIA
I wanted to recommend a local home builder I know personally — GGR Contracting here in Seattle. They do custom homes and full remodels and have such an eye for design and detail.
What I really like is how they manage the whole process — from working with architects and permits to construction — so homeowners don’t get stuck juggling multiple contractors. The results are modern, high-quality and thoughtfully built.
If anyone’s planning to remodel or build a home around Seattle or the Eastside, definitely take a look at their portfolio: ggrcontracting.com.
It’s a small, local business run by people who genuinely care about their work — I’ve seen their projects firsthand, and they do beautiful craftsmanship.
Mine and my partners anniversary is coming up, what’s a good recommendation for dinner that is budget friendly. Wanting to have a nice meal while not spending lots of money.
Recently moved to Bellevue and was curious what everyone’s go to breakfast spot is around downtown that’s easy to walk to and grab to go.
I’m definitely more of a savory breakfast person, so looking for stuff like breakfast burritos, breakfast sandwiches, bagels, etc. Not really looking for pancakes, pastries, or anything too sweet.
I live in King County. My rates keep going up despite having a clean driving record. I’m paying close to $400 for two cars and a 20-year-old motorcycle that’s worth 1-2 thousand at best. One of my vehicles is close to 22 years old. Any advice appreciated as these rates seem ridiculous.
Hey everyone! I'm a local real estate agent here in Bellevue, and I figured I'd try something different instead of randomly calling homeowners or bothering people with the same old sales calls.
Just to be clear, I'm NOT looking to list your house or convince you to put it on the market. I work with builders and developers who are actively looking to buy properties around Bellevue and the Eastside.
Even in this tougher market, my builder and developer contacts are still looking at opportunities and are willing to submit offers with different terms depending on the property and what makes sense for the seller.
If you've been thinking about selling, are curious what a developer might offer for your property, or have a house you might consider selling under the right circumstances, feel free to shoot me a PM.
No pressure, no obligation, and no listing pitch. If there's a potential fit, I can connect the dots and see whether one of my builder/developer contacts would be interested in making an offer.
I figured this would be a better way to connect with people who are genuinely considering selling rather than cold-calling a bunch of homeowners who aren't interested.
If this sounds like something you'd be open to exploring, feel free to message me! 🙂
Neighbors, if you don’t have dental insurance, or your coverage is thin, a lot of local dentists offer in-house membership plans. You pay a flat monthly fee and get your cleanings and exams covered. I put together the offices near us that offer them, by town:
I recently posted in here that I moved from Ohio. I had my beloved hairstylist there but unfortunately it’s not an easy commute to her anymore. 😩
I have beaded extensions and I’m due for a move up and color refresh. Not sure if any salons out there would be willing to pick up where she left off, but let me know who y’all trust with your hair!! I have blonde, black, and burgundy color blocked hair which is making the hunt kind of difficult. Thank you in advance 🥰
Posted recently on the AskSeattle subreddit and the post kinda blew up - I was expecting maybe a dozen or so replies and instead I got hundreds of them. Our Discord is now almost 270 people, with 240ish of them from Seattle/Bellevue.
I'm wondering two things:
Since we already have a good 40ish or so who are from Bellevue, are there others that would like to jump in on the fun with us? We've got about 50ish people altogether already playing the beta, and the rest will be joining us on the 4th of November when the game launches. Lmk if you'd like to come play in the comments?
Horde / PVP Ruleset
And...
What places do you guys recommend we host our IRL gatherings up over for the Bellevue side? IRL hangouts and meetups are a cornerstone to our philosophy about the guild, so we need some good watering holes where we can get together, hangout, maybe some spots other than Zulu's (we love Zulu's, just looking for more options is all) that we can hang out and play some board games, etc.
We've chatted about it quite a bit in the Discord and since the light rail runs across the lake now we think it'll be a lot easier to get folks from both sides of the water hanging out at each other's meetups, but as the organizer, I don't really know of many places over there - what places do y'all recommend?
hi! for any teens that look at this subreddit, there's a hackclub (hackclub is a non profit organization that hosts hackathons, and gives you a bunch of cool stuff when you ship code and hardware projects!) event called haven! it's from november 14th to the 15th
