Hello Bad Habarists!
You might have seen Matt post a fundraiser on his insta today. I'm involved in this fundraiser and we have a few fellow fans in the volunteer group!
Around 80 families are involved. I've been fundraising myself but this will be a larger collective link for all the families and one or two mutual aid groups as well like charities that distribute water etc.
All families involved have been vetted by checking their various social medias, where their phone is registered, video calls etc.
The funds will be distributed evenly among the families involved. The families are all people who our volunteers have personally connected with and built a relationship with.
I hope some of you guys might consider donating and help us make Eid a little less painful for our friends.
Here's the dono link: http://spot.fund/dvmr3klsc
Here's the insta post: https://www.instagram.com/p/DKUg2g3tT_9/?img_index=1
Mods have said it was cool and if anyone wants any further verification hit me up and I'll be happy to provide it or let you know more about the verification process.
Hoping for a ceasefire really soon.

Hello everyone,
you may have noticed that, within the past week or so, there weren't any new posts that we, the mod team had approved. The queue was getting longer and longer, and it took us too much time to go over all your posts (and reports) to respond.
We can understand that this must have been frustrating to those of you who were waiting for their post to be approved, and for that we apologize. We mods lead busy lives; some of us have a lot of personal stuff going on at present and therefore lost track of our responsibility here. Still, letting you wait this long is not up to our standard and something we will do our best to remedy in the future.
The newer members among you may not know that our sub was and still is under heavy scrutiny due to the subject matter. Therefore, to avoid any accusations of real antisemitism or other types of bigotry or content not deemed appropriate by reddit, we must stick to manual approval. This is unfortunate, but necessary.
Again, our apologies for all the delays. If you notice that a post of yours doesn't get approved within an appropriate time (should be 24h at most) please feel free to message the mod team about it! Notifications for mod mail aren't as easy to overlook if one of us is logged into reddit. We, in return, will also do our best to check in more frequently.
All the best to you and thanks a ton for your valuable contributions!!

My eyes rolled hard when I read this comment: “It was unclear to me, why, as an American citizen, I was being asked to comment on a foreign government,” Kletenik said.

palestinian in los angeles here. i loved this girl like a little sister. she's never really had any opinions on israel and she seemed to support my people. until 10/7. she started growing distant so i gave her her space. until mahmoud khalil. that escalation made me spiral. they're taking away our first amendment rights and you STILL can't say anything? nevermind the thousands of children we see being blown to bits.
after i sent her a few emails about jews for peace and stuff like that, she responded with this:
"i know what's happening there is bad, but i feel uncomfortable being a jew in LA"
that's when i went hard sending her around ten emails showing her exactly what's happening in gaza since she's looked away this entire time. i explained that parents were carrying their children in plastic bags, civilians being evaporated, etc. i went hard because i was VERY PISSED at her comment, completely victimizing herself. shes a beautiful young white woman who centered her uncomfort around an actual g-side.
BUT THATS NOT IT.
i knew her from my other (indian) friend of a decade who i've helped with her airbnb business. my jewish friend came to stay at her airbnb and all three of us became really close. we were like sisters. like FAMILY. my indian friend, heard me cry for two years on me spiraling watching my people being annihilated ALL while 97% of my white friends betrayed me in the most horrific ways for speaking out. they knew how many people betrayed me, yelled at me to shut up, told me i made them uncomforable, tried to silence me, etc. they KNEW how hard this was for me.
WELL, guess what my jewish friend did- she brainwashed my indian friend (who is 55 btw and won an emmy for a popular la newschannel) into telling her islam was a religion of violence. indian friend messaged me to ask me if islam was a religion of violence. i coulnd't believe it. that's the last thing she said to me.
BUT THATS NOT IT.
they teamed up together, who i thought were my best friends/sisters, TO TAKE ME TO COURT FOR A RESTRAINING ORDER BECAUSE MY JEWISH FRIEND THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO KILL HER AND HER DOG. i knew the indoctrination was deep but i didn't know how deep. i was bewildered, stunned, shocked and went into a deep deep depression. they teamed up together to backstab me at my lowest, while i'm watching the gside of my people. THEY MADE ME the monster in this. i couldn't believe it and i still don't.
we went to court, i fired my cousin lawyer because i wanted to make a speech. i was online and she was in the courtroom. judge was a black woman.
she sat in the courtroom and completely embarrassed herself, told the judge i got too radicalized and was afraid of me hurting her. UNBELIEVABLE. she made herself look SO bad. she even said israel blew up a hospital on the stand!
she never responded to my emails to tell me to stop, so the judge laughed her off, but she let me make a 5 minute speech about how this is a microcosm of what's happening in the world. how a white woman centers her feelings in an actual gside. how this will follow her for the rest of her life.
when the judge dismissed the case, she cried on the stand "but they're killing jews on the street!!!!" (she's gorgeous white girl who live in LA).
i knew the indoctrination was deep, but i didn't know how. this has broken something so deep in me. it's bad enough if they stopped talking to me, but to team up and backstab me like this, when i'm at my lowest??? i dont' think i'll ever recover- has shattered my heart. we were like family.
i wanted to share my story so others would share. thank you, it also feels better to talk about.
EDIT: DUE TO A REQUEST, I POSTED THE TRANSCRIPT BELOW FOR THOSE WHO THINK IM A BOT lol
ALSO , i MADE SURE TO USE THE WORDS PALESTINIAN HOLOCAUST in my court speech, i wanted that on record. also, i was via zoom in my home, wearing a keffiyeh and a red and green light behind me . petty af

I learned this a year ago, but I found it in an old draft post today.
The bombing killed 91 people and one terrorist
I firmly believe that terrorists are people, but I was entertained to find that in Palestine police force historical website

Translation of video (Haddad speaking):
Turns out that tonight, on Channel 14, they turned me into Mansour Abbas.
Look at this headline!
“Yoseph Haddad’s connection to the organisation that helped children from Gaza is exposed.”
Look at what they wrote next.
“Has the national hasbara figure revealed his true colours?”
That’s what was reported on Channel 14’s main evening news tonight.
On October 7, Yoseph Haddad promoted an Israeli organisation that worked to help children from Arab countries, many of them from Gaza, get to hospitals in Israel.
So, once again, anyone who answers to the pro-Palestinian cause is an enemy of the people, right?
Well, wait a minute.
First of all, let me tell you what Channel 14 didn’t tell you.
This was a report I filmed in the past with the organisation Save a Child’s Heart. As part of my work at the time for i24NEWS in English, I presented the organisation in a report aimed at promoting Israel’s image abroad, portraying it as an Israeli international humanitarian organisation that saves the lives of children with heart conditions around the world.
I wasn’t promoting the organisation and I didn’t receive a single shekel from it. I was promoting Israeli hasbara. How outrageous!
But wait a minute. Do you know who else promoted this organisation?
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu himself.
See for yourselves!
So, wait a minute. Let’s give this a headline:
“Benjamin Netanyahu’s connection to the organisation that helped children from Gaza is exposed.”
“Has the Prime Minister revealed his true colours?”
Tell me, did I do that right?
In short, what’s permitted for Bibi is forbidden for Yoseph Haddad — just as, for example, speaking in the past about a Palestinian state was apparently acceptable for one but not the other.
Wait, wait, wait. Are you ready for this?
Do you know who else promoted this organisation?
Channel 14 itself.

Who is Howard Chaykin? He is long time comics veteran & creator of indie comics such as American Flagg & Black Kiss. He once made a series for Image Comics called 'Divided States of Hysteria' which has covers which featured a woman draped in American flag burqa, and a South Asian/SWANA man hanged & lynched.
Chaykin claims to be one of those "I hate Trump"-types who still leans to Zionism.

New outposts, roads, and military bases are carving up Palestinian communities in an area that saw little settlement activity for two decades.

Matt and Daniel, I'd love to see you interview Adam Shatz, editor of Prophets Outcast: A Century of Dissident Jewish Writing about Zionism and Israel.
I read this book more than 20 years ago, and several of its essays have stayed with me ever since. It's a fascinating anthology of Jewish intellectuals who challenged Zionism, Jewish nationalism, and the idea that Jewish identity necessarily requires a Jewish nation-state.
The collection includes writings by Sigmund Freud, Albert Einstein, Martin Buber, and Ella Shohat, among others. What makes it especially interesting is the diversity of perspectives: some contributors rejected Zionism outright, while others supported Jewish cultural revival or settlement but questioned the pursuit of Jewish statehood.
One of the most memorable selections is a 1930 letter from Sigmund Freud, written eighteen years before Israel's establishment, in response to a request that he publicly support the Zionist cause.
Freud wrote:
But my sober estimation of Zionism does not allow me to do so ... I do not believe that Palestine could ever become a Jewish state, nor that the Christian and Islamic worlds would ever be prepared to have their holy places under Jewish care. To me, it would have seemed more sensible to establish a Jewish homeland on a less historically unencumbered land. But I know that such a rational viewpoint would never have gained the enthusiasm of the masses and the financial support of the wealthy ... The baseless fanaticism of our people is in part to be blamed for the awakening of Arab distrust. I can raise no sympathy at all for the misdirected piety which transforms a piece of a Herodian wall into a national relic, thereby offending the feelings of the natives ... Now judge for yourself whether I, with such a critical point of view, am the right person to come forward as the comforter of a people deluded by unjustified hope.
What strikes me about this letter is that Freud wasn't simply questioning whether a Jewish state was politically feasible. He was also expressing concern about the religious nationalism surrounding the project, its impact on the Arab population, and the unrealistic expectations of its supporters.
The anthology also includes Albert Einstein's reservations about Jewish nationalism, Martin Buber's advocacy of Jewish-Arab coexistence, and Ella Shohat's critique of the marginalization of Mizrahi Jews within Zionist narratives.
I think Adam Shatz would make a fascinating Bad Hasbara guest. He's an accomplished writer and editor with extensive knowledge of Jewish intellectual history, Zionism, and the Middle East.
One of the most interesting subjects for discussion would be the long and often overlooked history of Jewish dissent from Zionism, including the fact that some of the twentieth century's most prominent Jewish intellectuals were deeply critical of the movement long before Israel was established.Matt and Daniel, I'd love to see you interview Adam Shatz, editor of Prophets Outcast: A Century of Dissident Jewish Writing about Zionism and Israel.I read this book more than 20 years ago, and several of its essays have stayed with me ever since. It took me several attempts to watch all of this
It is possibly the most thoroughly shadow banned video on YouTube
It is, quite biased, but it's the missing other half of the story
I like that they just leave out the other side of the wall completely, they have a documentary about that as well, it focuses on military base attacks.
