Help Apple ID Hacked, Trusted Number Changed. Any Hope?
My Apple ID was compromised after I was robbed, and the trusted phone number and account information were changed. I no longer have access to the Apple ID or the trusted phone number.
My Apple Card account is still open, and I recently received a replacement card because my previous card expired. However, I can’t activate the new card without access to my Apple ID.
I’ve contacted Apple and Goldman Sachs multiple times, but I’ve been told there’s nothing they can do.
Has anyone experienced something similar and successfully regained access to their Apple Card without closing the existing account and reapplying? I’d really like to keep my current account rather than lose it and have to start over.
I’d appreciate hearing from anyone who has actually been through this and found a solution!

Daily Cash Help Apple Cash cannot transfer to bank
Not sure if this is a common issue but I figured I’d share. Recently I’ve been unable to transfer the money in Apple Cash (mostly cashback from my card) to my bank. The error message I got was “Could not set up Apple Pay”. I called Support and they walked me through toggling it on and off by going to Settings > Wallet & Apple Pay.
When I toggled it off, it disappeared to toggle it back on. Turns out the issue was my region.
So they had me go to Settings > Language and Region > Region and confirm it was the correct one (US but I had UK). After that I was able to toggle Apple Cash back on and transfer to bank.

Help Just received my but had to reorder, can I keep the other one?
Just received my physical card but it was sent in my middle name, not my legal name so I could not activate it. Just got off support and got it all corrected and new card coming by end of week. Support told me I could send it back in for recycling but it looks so cool I want to keep it. Plus it’s in name that my friends and family use to address me.
Keep or recycle? What would you do?

Help Apple Card Confusion...
Hello everyone.
So yesterday, the pre-pre order left me with a lot of lingering questions, and I'd appreciate some answers.
I obtained an Apple Card in August. I have never used it. $8,000 credit limit. I want to purchase the Duo in-full with my AC.
When I entered the card info during the pre-pre order, the order was declined repeatedly.
I called Apple. They connected me to Goldman Sachs. GS said there were no issues with my account. They said the transaction was not showing up on their end, so the issue was with Apple. As he was connecting me back with Apple, I attempted again, and I received the email that it worked.
Here are my questions...
When faced with using Apple Pay or entering credit card info, I choose to enter the CC info. If you choose Apple Pay, does it let you select what card to use during the Friday pre-order? Or does it automatically use the one that is default on your account that day?
Am I correct that choosing Apple Pay at pre-pre order will risk your card being potentially declined during the actual pre-order? Or do they run your current default Apple Pay card at pre-pre order to avoid issues on Friday?
By receiving the 'you're ready for pre-order' email from Apple, does that mean the Apple Card I used is now definitely going to be accepted for payment during the pre-order? My biggest fear (and I imagine the fear of others) is having their card declined on Friday and having their shipping dates slip immediately as you try to find a different payment source to use.
I applied an Apple Account balance to my pre-pre-order. Any chance that caused my initial issue? Will that potentially cause an issue on Friday?
I appreciate your answers. Would like some clarity before Friday and for future pre-pre orders. Thank you.

Help Is the Apple Card worth it?
Context: I have 2 other credit cards and debating on getting the Apple Card. I’ve been upgrading my phone every year (while trading in my previous phone) so I know it would be worth it for those purchases but idk about any other uses since I’ve got other cards that are “better”.
I know there really isn’t a downside of having it since there are no fees or anything but if I plan on using it just for Apple purchases, should I really apply? (I am also thinking about getting a travel card and so if I get the AC I’d wait a bit longer for the hard inquiry to go away)
Update: I pulled the trigger and did it

Help Is it normal to keep being rejected so often?
This card was the first card I ever applied for but was immediately rejected. That was about a year and a half ago. I worked towards building my credit and decided to try and apply again about 6 months ago. I was rejected yet again. Last night I decided to apply again because some hard checks fell off and I wanted to raise my overall credit lines so I could have lower utilization, (and the Apple Pay benefits), but was declined immediately yet again. I looked at the factors that they used to decline me. I checked my Experian credit profile and have 2 hard checks in my system currently. I also read posts made by other people mentioning that they got the card with a lower credit score or as their first card which made me wonder will I ever be able to get this credit card? Or am I being rejected because I applied 3 times within 1.5 years. Thank you for your time.

Discussion Close your accounts
My card was skimmed at a gas station over a year ago; screenshots, the app actually flagged another transaction one minute apart from the store as fraud, provided the police case, the detectives name, and her dept, and still I keep getting “we can’t find any fraud… uhm… the police case where they found the skimming device?? Where I called (it was Home Depot) and told them about it and they said they had troubles with those.
Goldman Sachs does not trust their own app, they do not trust their customers and do not trust their own application. I’m also an engineer, and when providing them with their own screenshots, they have told me “we don’t see that in our system” … your app flagged a transaction, that I stopped because my card was duplicated, and you “don’t see that in your system??” Then how was I notified? I asked for proof of that … they won’t provide it “deemed authorized” how was it?
This has been over a year and it was for $140 that was stolen for me and it happened with my Discover card as well and Discover was able to find that it was fraud (also provided that information to them as well, but apparently again… they think it was authorized)
So be careful everyone… this has been so frustrating and I don’t want anyone to experience the same that I have been through. Look carefully at your transactions and your app or go to a local credit union and link your credit card with them on your app instead!

Discussion Accidentally double booked a hotel and forgot to cancel the intial booking in the free cancellation time frame
Hi all, I’m a tourist visiting Rome and could use advice.
I booked a 4-night stay at a small guesthouse in Rome, arriving in october. I later booked another place and forgot to cancel this one. I cancelled , after the free-cancellation deadline. That was my mistake.
The hotel charged my card the full $800 as a late-cancellation penalty.
They confirmed by WhatsApp that, after my cancellation, my room was booked by other guests. So they kept my money and resold the same nights.
They’ve stopped replying to my WhatsApp messages and calls.
I disputed the charge with my card issuer (Apple) and gave an honest account, including the late cancellation.
I’m drafting an email and may visit in person while I’m in Rome.
My questions:
- Is charging the full amount for a late cancellation, while also reselling the room, normal or legal in Italy?
- Does the European Consumer Centre (ECC-Net) or an Italian consumer group realistically help in cases like this?
- Any tips on a card dispute when the hotel can point to its cancellation policy?
- Has anyone gotten a partial refund after a late cancellation, and how?
I’m not trying to avoid paying for my mistake. I just think a full penalty on top of a resold room seems unfair, and I’d accept a reasonable partial refund. Thanks for any help!

Help Applying for the card
The first time I tried to apply for the card, they said that my identification couldn’t be verified, but I think it may have just been because I didn’t have enough credit history? I’ve had the same card for a little over two years now, and I have a decent credit score. Do you think it’s worth applying? I don’t really love the idea of having a hard inquiry on my history if I don’t end up getting the card.

Help why can’t i order my titanium credit card?
I just recently got the apple credit thru my apple wallet. I’ve been trying to order the physical card but every time i try to place the order it says service unavailable. I thought maybe it was my connection but no matter where i am throughout the last week it won’t let me? Is there any way for me to get the card using a different method?

PSA Designed by Apple in California. Mishandled by Goldman in New York.

Apple will spend years obsessing over how light refracts through a glassy button, but somehow can't figure out the revolutionary technology of properly handling credit card disputes. Apple's legendary obsession with user experience ends the moment the customer wants their money back.

I made the unfortunate mistake of using Stubhub to buy concert tickets with my AppleCard. The tickets were not usable at the venue for admission so I bought another set of tickets at the box ofiice. I requested a refund from Stubhub the next day providing proof that the digital ticket was unusable for admission. They denied my refund stating refunds are not possible after an event. I disputed the charge twice with Goldman, both times they sided with Stubhub.
Today I found out Goldman and Apple already have an $89 million judgement against this sort of thing from the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau in 2024. Seems like nothing has changed in the past 2 years.

CFPB Enforcement Action Against Apple and Goldman Sachs — October 2024
1. CFPB Case Overview
The CFPB ordered Apple and Goldman Sachs to pay over $89 million for Apple Card failures, including mishandled transaction disputes, inadequate investigations, improper credit reporting, and misleading financing practices.

2. CFPB Consent Order — Detailed Legal Findings
The 53-page federal enforcement document details how Goldman Sachs mishandled hundreds of thousands of Apple Card disputes, violated consumer-protection laws, and launched its dispute-handling system despite internal warnings that it was not ready.

I've filed my own complaint with the CFPB. If you've experienced similar problems with Goldman Sachs over Apple Card disputes, I'd encourage you to do the same.

Discussion Apple return with ACMI resulted in statement credit and orphaned monthly plan
I have had this card since it was launched, but this was a first for me. I purchased a Mac Studio at my local store and while being so focused on talking about the Duo to the sales rep, I forgot to ask for ACMI (Apple Card Monthly Installments). Fast forward to back home and I hit up the chat bot to request the purchase be converted, which they will sometimes do, but its not a guarantee.
Well.. after using the Mac, I learned I need a larger one and nothing is user-upgradeable, as we know, so return was the only option. I figured it would revert the ACMI contract and refund my taxes, since those aren't rolled into the monthly.
However, what the rep told me was since it was manually swapped, a return will trigger a refund in the normal way and the ACMI will just stay behind the scenes. It will also NOT show up in the installments list, just remains attached to your available credit offset.
Sure enough, checking my account this morning and I was refunded the full amount of the Mac + tax and the installment balance still stands.
In a way I got a free loan of my remaining balance, super weird.
Anyone else ever seen this happen before?
