hi all!! ive started replaying for the first time since the recent major update and im redecorating my animal crossing island, and ive noticed that grass weeds (the ones in front of my character, kind of hard to see im sorry) grow within about a day now into bigger weeds (bottom left) and im not a big fan of the bigger sized ones!! i was wondering if anyone had any ideas to alternative space fillers i could use besides weeds now. ive tried using drawn path blocks but they look a bit tacky :-)

I remember I got the new horizons around launch or so and while playing it something just felt missing and It felt like I was playing something completely different to what people online were playing (it doesn't much make a difference now as my game was stolen a while back) I'm just curious? Was I playing wrong?

I built a sturdy shovel and it lets me dig up trees without eating food. Eventually, it stopped letting me dig and just started dinking it. Any idea why ?

I've had my island for about 2 years now, and I felt like it was time to make it feel more like a real island rather than a mish mosh of random items thrown together in various places. I've seen some cool ideas in general but I wanted each villager to have a little space outside their house that sort of correlates with their style/personality.

So far, my ideas include:

Ione - a little stargazing spot/star garden kind of thing

Lucky - graveyard

Coco - I thought a zen garden would be fitting for her

Genji - workout space

Cephalobot - some kind of rocket/space research area

Whitney - I plan to put her near the Able sisters and put a little cafe kind of space between them

Those are the villagers I know I'm for sure keeping at this point so it's a little easier to plan their spaces. The rest of my current villagers are Rex, Aurora, Rio, and Pashmina.

I've been debating keeping Pashmina because I do like her a lot, but I'm not sure what an outdoor space would look like for her. Rex is adorable but I think eventually he'll get replaced with Bob or Stitches. In the meantime, I thought maybe just sticking him near the playground area I plan on doing. Rio is cool for the time being, but if I see Shino, she's out. No ideas for her space either though. Lastly is Aurora. I hate her and I hope she's the next villager to move out. I don't really care about a space for her if I'm being honest, but if you have ideas I can do until I replace her, I'm all ears... Or eyes, rather.

For my other spaces, I'm doing a fossil digging site near my museum. An amusement park near the plaza that I'm hoping gives off the Animal Crossing version of Coney Island or Navy Pier. I'd like to do something interesting surrounding Nook's shop too, and I need to figure out a farming area too. That's all I got so far.

All ideas are welcome and appreciated!

I love animal crossing and I want to love it more but the limited pocket space and back and forth to sell things so quick gets old fast. I also play hello kitty island adventure, it's very similar in ways and never ending pocket space, highly recommend lol anyone got tips to ease my headaches and make it more fun for me again?

I’m thinking of adding Shep to my dreamie list and making him my island’s paleontologist. Do you think that would suit him?

My current villagers are: Graham, Papi, and Stitches

My dreamies are: Doc, Pudge, Derwin, Walker and Henry and maybe Filbert.

I just started playing ACNH this year! It’s been a blast, I love the slow pacing. I log in nearly everyday and I’m always learning something new. I wondered if anyone had any favorite creator ids they’d like to share? I’m trying to flair up my island and would love to see everyone’s “art pieces” whether it be custom or pro designs.
