Ugh, Iβm so over all the curated βfeaturedβ stuff and not being able to just sort games by release date, ignoring whatever the algorithm thinks is popular. Trying to track down something that isnβt some mainstream gacha, low-effort retro clone, or super monetized waifu bait feels like a full-time job.
How do you all actually find new games? I end up hanging out in subs like this because the Play Store keeps shoving the same garbage at me on repeatβ¦ and donβt even get me started on the so-called βrecommended for youβ section or those βreward appsβ like Mistplay that mostly surface the same mainstream titles.
Thereβs got to be tons of interesting games buried so deep theyβll never show up with basic searches. I honestly feel bad for smaller devs who are making cool stuff but donβt have the cash to push their game into whatever counts as the Play Storeβs front page.
I really wish there were better filters for searching, especially something like βsort by date addedβ so I could dig through older releases. And if I could really have my way, Iβd love a filter to hide anything thatβs basically a skinner box disguised as a game.

Somewhere back in 2025 I've purchased a game, "Wordlike". Recently I've remembered about it and wanted to play again but couldn't find it in Google Store for some reason? It's not showing up in my purchase history either. I'm very curious to know what can I do now, and if there's any way to either get the game or issue a refund?..
p.s. the developer of the game - u/ImaginaryType - was very active in promoting it, but then went silent. Would really appreciate hearing from them on that issue

So, there is no library in the mobile app, it's an unreleased feature somehow. The website advises to find the game in the store and install from there.
Now, I could successfully install Foretales β the current free game, and it works fine. But previously I had claimed many more free games that have an Android version, and none of them can be installed if I search for them in the store -- they still just offer me to buy them. It's the same account. The claimed games are there on the desktop. But not on Android somehow?

Any chance to clear the useless data of the app without deleting the whole data?

Hello everyone,
I recently upgraded my phone to a Galaxy S25 Ultra, and was heartbroken to discover it will not play old android games. Games like Super Gravitron, SpongeBob Diner Dash and others that are 32 bit won't run at all. Attempting to start the app does absolutely nothing except flash the screen as the app instantly crashes.
I have looked into some Android Virtual Machines but all of them are a huge inconvenience and work very unstable.
Is there anything I can do to get these old 32bit games to run. Maybe a compatibility layer or plugin, or something.
My device is NOT rooted, but I do have shizuku if that helps.

Is Google Play the only channel to launch my Android tablet game ? Is Steam an option ? and what is the best option for success in your experience / opinion ? Thank you.

I'm currently learning Godot, and I'd like to make an Android game with it in the future. One thing I've never quite understood is how ad integration works in the game.
Is there a specific node in the engine for displaying ads? How do you implement that?
EDIT: I see that people in the comments got the wrong idea. Iβve made games before. When I said I was learning, I meant that I hadn't made games for Android, only for the web.
I don't intend to clutter the game with ads, but itβs an aspect Iβd never really thought about, and I happened to get curious about how it works. Itβs more of a technical question than anything else.

Has anyone encountered this? I got so excited when i saw that no mans sky would have a mobile port since it's one of the games i always wanted to olay if i ever get a PC and downloaded it but the first 5 seconds after opening i got a full screen of ads, microtransaction offers and even more ads after woth an ad timer counter, at that point i already knew it was a sh*t copy paste but decided to view further and boy it's just horrible. Playstore page even uses official photos i think. I reported the app but was hoping others would report too to get it taken down. (I turned on dns adguard the second time i opened it to take the screenshots cuz it's literally filled with ads and it was more menu than a game)

Is there a way to move or share the data and obb files of a mobile game on a phone running Android 16? i tried with Shizuku and it didn't work

First off: developer isn't warner bros.
Second: it's using Looney Tunes World of Mayhem icon, for some reason
Third: the game screenshots there are probably stolen from another Looney Tunes game
UPDATE: I searched far and wide, it took screenshots from an HTML 5 Looney Tunes game "Looney Tunes Mash-up Party Launch"
i need some explanation if this is fake and dangerous. Thanks.

So mine is Android 15 and it just sucks I can't access the data folder anymore and can't copy my save files etc.
So any way to copy those without rooting? Because neither zarchiver or the Files work.
Waiting for anyone to help if can, i just want to keep my Hollow Knight Progress saved.

It has been a rough summer for me and for a lot of people here in my country. Yesterday, I was playing Balatro on my phone, since I hadn't played it in a while. Within 5 minutes of me playing, I couldn't hold the phone anymore. It was actually hurting my hands.
My phone is a OnePlus 9RT with a Snapdragon 888 5G, which I know is known for bad thermals. But this isn't normal. I've played and beaten many runs of Balatro on this same phone and while it was reaching 40β°C for some reason, I never had the issue where my hands weren't able to actually hold the phone. Does someone have a solution for it that doesn't involve playing inside a pool of liquid nitrogen? Thank you in advance.
Observation: It's currently 38β°C where I live, but I have AC and I play without the case.

I'm looking for achievements; it's the only thing that motivates me to play some games. However, it's annoying when Google Play... It's not registering achievements due to a bug or API issue. Do you have a solution?
I've already abandoned two games I started playing but had to delete from my achievement history for the same reason; the worst part is that it always happens halfway through or at the end of completing the achievements.
