We have soooo many new hires that I swear we (veterans)are outnumbered 😒. I am trying to be nice and help them even though I'm not an ambassador, but damn, they are so freaking rude and disrespectful. I hate this time of year

I had a question for trans employees from Amazon. I’m ftm, I would normally pass but my chest gives it away. I can’t bind all day, and I guess I wanted to know how if there’s any other ftms/transmasc/trans men that would have to deal with the bathroom situation? And like, what bathrooms you use / what your experience has been like? I get nervous using public restrooms but I know if I’m gonna be at the Amazon I’m starting on Saturday with the long hours I’ll eventually have to use a restroom. So yeah, has it felt safe enough for y’all?

Did yall get fired immediately or no I love 40 mins away from my facility and my mothers car broke down again and I was using her car to get back and forth from work to save up for my own. I took one day off before which lowered my upt and I have to take another day off again which will put it in the negatives. I haven’t called off any other times accept this two since I got hired. Do you think they’ll give me shit and terminate me ?

As the title says, I went to the warehouse for my first day and walked in. Some random bum who I can only assume was security told me to wait outside for “10-15 minutes” and that someone would come to get me so I could start training. However I waited much longer and after a while went back in to see the problem just for the front desk guy to be gone. I can’t reschedule or cancel so I’ll probably get terminated but this is unbelievably frustrating

Yeah, today l said fuck it after almost 2 years. It started out as a side hustle so l could get veneers. I got converted after two months and before l know it two years had passed. ...In February, l transferred to a different FC, there are no robots, NONE! Ppl move everything! It's so different from my old FC. During Peak, six 10 hour days for two weeks, not five 12 hour days. It makes a huge difference. This week 2 and l'm exhausted. 14 days, 2 days off! I asked is this the schedule during Peak? Yes. Fuck that, l gave my two weeks, then l said fuck it, l'm done. I am putting shit in a box ( pick, pack, sort) to make a billionaire more money. No, l now have enough income. I just like to shop. I will learn to control my shopping and get some rest.

Parting Thoughts:

If there is any company on this planet whose employees need a union, it's fucking AMAZON. Six days a week, 10 hours a day from November 27-December 24 is insane and abusive to workers. I was told: We don't do 12 hours days here because we care about work life balance. You care about work-life balance and between 27 November and December 24, your employees will have 3 days off??? Fuck that place man. I feel sympathetic towards those ppl who have to stay. Use your Career Choice and get out!!!It's sad but l am so glad to be done!

Want to start off by saying I never worked at Amazon before so I applied to a position called “robotics warehouse associate” I looked it up and it seems like massive amount of people were doing something called “picking” up until my first day (which was today I just got off from overnight) I thought only things like picking, stowing, packing existed. I solely wanted something I can be in my own zone in a cubical like setting not working in teams.

This was a major let down when they told us we will go where demands are needed.. nobody knew none of this we all thought we were getting “picking” so one by one they call us up. Maybe 2 got picking the rest got odd but “laid back” jobs meanwhile I got ship dock and I feel like I wouldn’t have been discouraged but the guy in charged laugh and said “ouu girl that sh*ts hard I quit two days in and came back 3 months later for another position, your back will be screaming” like..thanks.

Two big buff men also got it and I can’t help but thinks it’s meant for men only i’m a scrawny woman who can’t even carry a jug of milk how will I survive this.

My first real day on the floor is tomorrow and I don’t even want to show up anymore.

I recently got an STU for “leaving” 8 minutes early for the end of the shift, when in reality I went to use the restroom came back and it was time to sign out 3 minutes before the end of shift. Will this turn into a write-up? And if so can I challenge it?

I panicked and stashed it, but is there any hope of me getting it out? I usually have a bag with a lot of stuff with me should I just toss it in or throw it out

Since my site is having day a off on this date (I work 11am-8pm Wed-sat) can you ask management or a PA for VTO a week in advance? I’d rather have it sorted out ahead of time and not add to the deluge of AA’s who will be asking on the date. I’m guessing it will be more orderly and perhaps even preferred by management?

I don’t understand why so many people complain. I’ve been negative 10 hours of UPT twice. The first time, my brakes broke while I was driving, and I had to call a tow truck. When I received the email, I sent them the paperwork, and they told me over email that it was okay and to just make up the UPT as soon as possible. The second time was because of college. I was almost 11 hours negative, explained the situation, and they told me the same thing.
My A-to-Z always shows that I’m doing exceptional, and I just work normally. I don’t kill myself working. I spend the whole day listening to a movie through my headphones or listening to someone read a book, and the day goes by quickly. There are a lot of benefits, and I’m not saying it’s the best job in the world, but the pay is good. On top of that, you can take months of unpaid leave and get three weeks of paid vacation. I just don’t understand why so many people complain about a job like this.

Will Amazon give you a warehouse job if you’re on the sex registry, but you weren’t convicted of nothing because you got the deferred judgment done and the case was disposed in Iowa they asked for all the information why are the registry They asked wallet up to the registry because they couldn’t find a charge that’s the only thing they got the judge granted a deferred judgment and got probation and everything done so it got dismissed

I am so tired of the converting process requirements. They should have just explained that my job would end after the first of the year unless I learned my job perfect in the first 23 days. I have worked many jobs and usually do not get benefits for first 90 days to see have you will progress. I guess since they hire anyone Amazon just has enough people to replace those they let go. I am a picker. I have killed myself to make rate but every other aisle has a stower sitting on his whatever on his phone so I have to go three aisles to come around to get to the aisle I need. Or there is no one there. The bins are so jammed full of items you have to empty them out to find the item. I go from 7 am to 9:15 break without sitting down. I do not go to bathroom except at break time and I have tried to request extra training but since I can’t find a manager and the only person you can get is a problem solver they are no help. I eat my 30 minute lunch and clock right back in and go to my 3:00 break sometimes I leave the floor sometimes I just sit on cart step. I would very much like to become a permanent hire but since I made 2 quality errors doing missing items and my rate fluctuates from 50-100 it’s not going to happen. I have a second interview with another warehouse that will be permanent with benefits and more support. I’m thankful for the checks I am getting but very bummed that I will never see that blue badge. Thanks for the rant and if you are permanent I’d take advantage of the career choice. That is an awesome benefit. I would have loved to have utilized that. But this other job if I get it has tuition reimbursement so I can get some business classes in.

I work at a SSD located in a commercial business park which limits the amount of safe and reasonable walking distance parking that is available to associates.

Now there is a new site opening up nearby so there are more people in the building training, on top of that they are hiring for Peak as well. Because of this we end up parking much farther away and in other businesses parking lots.

I was curious if there was anyone who has had a situation like this occur at their site and what, if anything, was done to help the problem. My thoughts for helping this problem is making it so new shifts come in 5 minutes later to free up parking.

I want to transfer to grocery as flexpt just so i can get in the building. Then i will apply for full time day or even the part time sat-sun schedule. But i need dental insurance right now. Can i pay COBRA price for dental while i am working flexpt? Or is COBRA only available if you leave the company?

if pto use is blocked during Novembe/december and pto resets January 1st what happens to the pto you earn during nov/dec?

So ive been dealing with a shoulder injury since may. I have gone through all my doctors appointments and P.T. (that they schedule cuz sedgwick likes to not schedule stuff like my original refreal of P.T. i got in may or steroid injections i didnt even know i was referred) ive also been on tld since the injury since I could still work just without using my left arm. On 10/14 though, my orthopedic reassigned me to full duty fully against the advisement of my P.T. because, according to them, "since nothings wrong on my MRI, theres nothing else they can do" without doing any other tests. I called sedgwick and told them everything, explained i dont feel confident returning to full duty, and that my P.T. agreed, and asked for a second opinion on my return to full duty. They denied me because, again, the mri is clean and they only have the one ortho office on their panel. What are my options here? Im on flex and only here for 3 hours tonight's shift and I think I might have to drop the rest of the week but this is going to mess me up financially pretty sever. Is my only option legal?

How does Thanksgiving usually work is it all day? I’m getting told my station might only be open til 12 (we start at 6) so coming to see if this is normal. Or maybe just talk im hearing.

Hey y'all, quick question about vacation time usage before peak.

So do I need to have the vacation time already to set it up? My plan was to leave early on certain shifts during peak and I was just wondering if I could set that up before I've gathered the necessary vacation time and then gather said necessary amount while I work.

Like if I have a shift in early December Monday that I want to leave 2 hours early but I only have half an hour of vacation time right now. Could I set that up?

I know the deadline is very soon so I'm trying to figure out if I can even do anything or not.

Can I leave during my lunch if It shows I have 5 hours of UPT or do I have to tell someone and then leave?
