AITA for refusing to share my wings with my sister?

I'm 17F, and every other weekend my family gets takeout. When we get pizza, I usually get wings too, while my brother gets his own pizza and my little sisters get their own food. I don't share my wings because I hate sharing my food, and my sister ALWAYS makes it a big deal.

She complains that I get both pizza and wings, but it's not like I'm getting my own pizza. My mom barely eats her pizza, and she'll give me two slices if I ask, and anyone else can have some too. That's usually how I end up with pizza Amand wings.

My sister acts like I'm a selfish jerk because I won't share my wings but everyone else gets their own food, Am I actually being jerk, or is my sister making a big deal out of nothing?

My daughter is turning 18 in November. She is a senior in highschool.

I intend to give my daughter $50,000 USD the weekend after her 18th birthday in November. Her mother and I are not together, I pay child support every month (I actually pay more than I am supposed to). Her Mom does not know im doing this

. My daughter does not know I am doing this. I still intend to pay child support to her mom until she graduates. We are on good terms. When this happens Im not sure what my daughter will do. We (her mom and I) have co-parented for the last 16 years. She is married now, and has been for 12 or so years.

I was giving nothing when I became an adult. I worked for everything I have. Her mom makes $14 an hour and is supported by her parents. The husband is and does what he needs to to bring his family into middle class and is not a problem in my life.

I know my daughter plans to go to community College, and will stay primarily at her mothers for the next few years. I wonder what this influx of money will do.

TL;DR giving my daughter starter money for the future, while her mom is struggling.

WIBTJ if I told my fellow apprentice that he's close to getting fired?

To give some pretext, I (24NB) am currently a first year apprentice at a transportation company to become a truck driver soon. I'm 5'3", around 90lbs or so and AFAB. I don't look like much but when push comes to shove, I do pack a punch. Trust me, this is important. I started with another apprentice, let's call him H (21M), who's about 5'9", definitely heavier than me although still somewhat scrawny and, well, male in a male-dominated field, unlike me. We're in Germany.

Two days ago, I tagged along in the truck with the only other female driver in the company. She taught me some very useful tricks and helped me get better at what I do at a rather quick pace. As we were on our way back home, she got a call from dispatch. They chatted for a bit, talked about important stuff before the dispatcher inquired if I could hear him as well, to which I said yes. He told me that, instead of the original plan, which was for H to tag along instead of me the following day (which was yesterday), I should tag along again, should I want to, once more, to which I agreed - I could use the experience, after all.

He then started complaining about H. Saying that he was sick too often, didn't seem enthusiastic enough about the apprenticeship and was overall not great with logic or math. I could almost taste the dissatisfaction in his voice. In return, I was told that I'm currently doing quite well in the company and that I learn quickly. Everyone there seems to be quite proud of my quick progress. Meanwhile, H is on the verge of getting the boot, so to speak.

The dispatcher off-handedly allowed me to relay this message to H, too, but the driver I was with said I shouldn't. That he might retaliate, which isn't too far off for any woman and generally female presenting person like me in a male-dominated field such as truck driving. So now, I'm kinda torn between wanting to let him know, but also being scared to do so in lieu of him taking revenge on me for spilling the beans.

WIBTJ if I told him? Should I keep my mouth shut? I don't really know what to do.

TL;DR: I'm one of two apprentices at a transportation company to become a truck driver in about three years time. The other apprentice isn't doing well at all, whereas I, a petite AFAB person, am. Dispatch is incredibly dissatisfied with him and wants to kick him to the curb soon should he not get better quickly, and I've been given permission to tell him this. The driver I tagged along with basically told me to just give him a vague warning in fear of him retaliating against me, though. I'm at a loss for what to do.

AITJ for not helping my brother with childcare that resulted in him losing his job?

• Upvotes

Now first and foremost I love and care about my brother and wish things went differently for him, but they didn’t and I’m being made to feel like it was my responsibility and I don’t really think it was; but im open to being wrong.

For context I am a recently single mother with a 6 year old and a 13 month old who moved out of the main town to a smaller town 15 minutes away after the split. I have full custody of my children and my 6 year old goes to school in the main town; who I run to and from school everyday, adding up to Atleast an hour driving everyday (baby in tow). I also recently took on my 12 year old niece as a foster while she was going through an abuse situation with my other brother. I was essentially a single mother of 3 children for a month running them to and from town with extracurricular activities and carrying the entire emotional and physical load. I was absolutely exhausted. when the niece went off to her mothers in a different county as much as I loved her I was grateful because it was a lot of work, and her leaving fell in alignment with a two week school break.
I had already plans to drive both boys across country to visit friends for the second week of the school holiday so I decided the first week was going to be at home. For the sake of myself and the kids who really needed the break. (My 6 year old has ADHD and was really struggling come the end of the school term) Instead of driving to and from the main town Atleast 10 times that week I was only going to go in if I absolutely had to.

Now I am a helper, I love to help where I can. I normally say yes to everything I am asked from friends/family and quite often my youngest brother (we’ll call him Billy) needs help with his kids because he’s a single father of two with 50/50 custody. Billy had recently started a new job in the field he had been tirelessly studying for this passed year, and he called me up on the Saturday as I was about to take my niece to the airport and asked if I would help him out next week by coming into the main town once a day to pick up his son from daycare. He mentioned he had forgotten to arrange something and now desperately needed help and I thought about it for a second before knowing I had to unfortunately decline. I was exhausted, and I really needed the break. My 13 month old was sick as well, and had conjunctivitis, and I knew we were going to be so busy the second week of the holidays I couldn’t commit to it. I felt bad at the time but also it was the first time I had really said no, and he said he someone else to ask. I could hear he was a little disappointed on the phone but ultimately I had to do what was best for us.

Fast forward to after the school holidays I get a text from Billy saying I couldn’t drop my rubbish at his house anymore (no rubbish pick up in my town and so I had been dropping it at his place to save us money) the message felt off but I left it be. And then I ran into Billy at school pick up and hes standoffish. I could feel that he wasn’t happy with me. He tells me he had to give up his new job because they wouldn’t allow him to finish early to pick up his son, so now he doesn’t have a job in this field he has been studying for. He walks off without saying goodbye and then it hits me that this loss of job coincides with the week I couldn’t help out and I feel terrible. I sent him a message last night expressing that I was sorry to hear about his job and just explaining why I had to say no that week but he didn’t respond.

I caught up with another brother (large family) who confirmed Billy is mad because he felt I chose not to help because I couldn’t be bothered and only said I couldn’t take rubbish there anymore out of spite. And truthfully I feel bad for Billy, I hate that this is how things panned out for him, but I also think it wasn’t my responsibility. I would of helped if I could, but I couldnt that week. And I honestly feel hurt that I’m being punished for saying no when I think I had every right. But I also that he lost his job. I don’t know, I just feel sad because I think hes being a bit jerky, but im open to being the jerk if people think am. Am I the jerk?

TLDR: I needed a break and chose not to help my brother with his childcare needs after he sprung it on me last minute which resulted in him losing his job and hes now mad at me.

AITJ for leaving my friends of 10-12 years?

Hi guys, long story short. I (20M) left a trio friendgroup recently this year as I felt like we were drifting apart far. We had been friends for around 12 years since primary school but many many things has changed since then.

Primarily it started from 3-4 years ago when we attended our own polys (for some reason,we never decided to go to the same poly lmao).

I started dealing with some gambling problems/depressive episodes (2-3 times) and occastionally would leave the friendgroup as I just thought that maybe I should just suffer alone since I would just be a parasite to this friendgroup. For friend A, he had social anxiety but thankfully it became better for him and he found a girlfriend since year 1. For friend B, he found a new friend group who he grew super close with and started meeting them a lot . We slowly started drifting apart but we would still meet up maybe once every 2-4 weeks to talk to each other and catch up.

I have been noticing something tho, every single time I had my depressive episode or I am suddenly not free, they would just meet up among themselves which I of course, was fine with as it was my issue. However, when either friend A or friend B is suddenly not free and we were supposed to meet that day, suddenly the other one would not want to hang out with me eventhought he is free.

Recently, they have been discussing some business stuffs with each other like one piece selling on tiktok and they made quite a lot. However, they didnt share with me at all which just made me feel even more left out. Even when they had relationships issues, they only pmed each other. Even when we meet up,they always just talk to each other about the topics they were talking about last time and wouldnt catch me up with the information. We have a group chat by the way with only the 3 of us.

This year, friend B also found his girlfriend which was really really neat. However, with that,it meant that we were only meeting once every 3 months since they both rather meet their girlfriends 5-6 times a week. 3 months ago,I had another episode and needed someone to talk to. I texted the groupchat and was left on read instead. After a while,I pmed them and one decided that doing grab food delivery was more important while another decided that they were too busy to meet up with me. I just felt sad as I knew I had my issues but when they had their issues and needed someone to talk to,I was there for them immediately. We lived 3 bus stops within each other so it wasnt that inconvenient too.

Sad to say,I left the groupchat and blocked them which yes,its a bixxh move but tbh,I think it might be better that I am not with them anymore. I think everyone just grew and had different priorities. Not sure what everyone thought about this? Thanks for reading as well.

AITA for being a bad friend? (fake names used)

TL;DR A group of my friends blocked another friend of mine without explanation and I was in the middle of it.

Back in September, Red (a friend of mine) was recently blocked by three of my closest friends on Instagram. I had known these three friends for about 4-ish years and I had no idea that this was happening until one of the friends, Blue was bringing it up to another friend, Yellow, in passing conversation.

Yellow didn't block Red but was definitely on Blue's side when they were explaning everything.

I asked them what they were talking about and they filled me in that they had basically blocked Red for two reasons. The first one was that Red had supposedly thrown a tantrum at their parent when they were driving home from a convention about going to see an actor. The other one was that Red's friend group (that doesn't include the three friends that blocked them) was organizing this huge event and was strict on the fact that they could only plan for the people they had listed.

After I had been told all this, that night, Red texted me if I could chat with them. They had basically told me that the three friends that had blocked them had just suddenly done it, without an explanation. I was scared and didn't know what to do so I texted Blue what should I do.

Blue wasn't happy that I texted Red because Blue said that everyone is trying to ignore her right now because of the blocking. Personally, I thought it was ridiculous that they couldn't even spare an explanation to Red, so I did respond to them and got on a call with them. I asked them if they knew any reason they might have been blocked and they said no, they couldn't think of any.

I was on that call for a long time, crying with Red about the possibility of our friendship ending and I was thinking of the worst case scenario where I would have to pick sides. But in the end, Blue had been ignoring me for the past few weeks with Yellow. I had been texting Red and checking in with them since they weren't doing well mentally during those weeks Blue and Yellow haven't been meeting with me.

Eventually, after getting nothing from Blue or any of my friends for that matter, I ended up texting Red why they were blocked.

I did tell them that if they ever needed someone to talk to, I was here but also they should try to talk to someone they trusted like another friend or family.

But after that, I got a huge text bubble from Blue. During the week they had been ignoring me, I shot out a text asking if they were alright, and if there was anything I did, I was sorry. I also texted them saying that Red was incredibly sorry for what they did since I told them.

Blue basically said to me I was no longer friends with them, Yellow, or any other friend in their group. Blue said that I was not allowed to speak with them anymore because I was fatphobic, racist, colorist, misgendering, and not a good friend because I would always go on my phone when the whole friend group was there.

I was called fatphobic because I'm incredibly scrawny and Blue is plus-sized, I always tried to use words that weren't negative towards fat people but I guess even my words made an impression on them. I was also called racist because I would make occasional jokes about certain races including my own. I wouldn't call myself racist because I've been open minded to all sorts of cultures but I guess I wasn't trying hard enough. I was also called colorist because I would make self-deprecating comments about how I am Chinese yet I have a very deep tan and in China, it's seen as beautiful to have pale skin. I also misgendered people a lot since I would forget to ask and they wouldn't tell me, for example, Blue used to use they/them but later started to use he/him and I had no idea.

As for the phone accusation, they aren't wrong, I would go on my phone when the group is out having fun but the problem is I don't try putting myself into the conversation since my comments beforehand were mostly ignored and they wouldn't include me on certain topics even though I was there. I was crying for hours about the text until I had a talk with my family. They told me that my friends were unjustified to just kick me out of the friend group, but I think personally, this was all my fault because I reached out.

my nephrologist had to literally beg me to quit working. I've decided to end my schooling too. I'm trying with disability but I can't make that go any faster. She's planning to kick me out all because I'm not giving her anymore money. It's not fair.

Am I the jerk for telling my friend about my bfs friend while I was drunk and not remembering

Post image

TL;DR I allegedly made fun of my bfs friend while drunk and my bf is pissed at me

Last night I was really drunk with my friend, when I came home from the bar my bf was asleep. Apparently I was making fun of his friend when I was drunk. I don't remember this at all my bf swears it happened and he's super pissed at me.

I'm going to ask my friend in the morning if I did (it's 6 am), which I don't think I did. I don't think I should be blamed for something I don't remember regardless, he's adamit that I should. In the past he's made fun of my friend soooo many times I don't think its fair to judge me for something I don't remember saying when he's said way worse sober. I allegedly called his friend fat which I don't think I would do because I don't think he's fat at all. Apparently I also mentioned he's only had one gf he met off of Reddit.

I think my bf was asleep and mis remembering but he's adamit I did it. I told him I was sorry but don't think I should have to apologize for something I don't remember saying. Which pissed him off even more and he stormed out to go to work. So am I the asshole here? I don't think he has a right to be upset with me over this.
