I remember the first time i listened to haru wa yuku then listened to hana no uta, till it clicked in my head that the ending of haru wa yuku is the beginning of hana no uta.

I think she's evolved and matured in her singing style. Sometimes I miss it but I appreciate her new style, as long as she keeps releasing amazing songs I'm happy

The thing is, I have romanticized her songs, always viewed them as poetic. Whenever I thought of her songs that just bring me back to that poetic sensation, on the top of my mind, I started recalling, Haru wa yuku, Hana no uta, I beg you, Kowairo, Ref:rain, Words, Polaris. And lots more which had a similar poetic tone to them, it seems that I never fail to find songs like these in her old albums but now, I wish that she releases something of that taste again, hopefully that new album of hers that is coming up might fulfill that, cause genuinely, I think I need it more than ever.

Sun Dance & Penny Rain were one of her best albums imo. Amazing compositions and vocals. I believe her recent songs are mostly by request for theme songs while she's pregnant, so the compositions are kinda generic. Her next album will be with her own agency where she'll have more creative freedom. Let's support her through this change!

I feel like ever since Zankyousanka things haven't felt the same. Most of what she released since has been generic and sub par and it's sad to admit it because I've been a fan since debut song and I kept hoping it's just a phase. But maybe it was a phase since she's starting brand new. Curious to see what she'll do next.
