I am new in after effect and I made alot of searches about how to make a smooth animation and i tried them but it didnt work and I know the idea of the graph but i cant make a smooth animation

This has not happened this frequent until this morning when I try to start working for the day, I use BOTH Premiere Pro and After Effects a lot, and very rare do I get a crash. But this morning, I've gotten well over 10+ crashes happening when just booting up either software, and its making me nearly have a panic attack because I can't work.

I've tried restarting my computer, resetting preferences (that didnt work), manually deleting third party stuff I use, and right now I'm clearing up space on my external SSD which I use to edit on to see if that will work. If it crashes again, then I might just crash out myself.

I'm on a mac studio with the M2 Max chip

32GB memory

MacOS Sonoma 14.6

and editing is mostly done on a Samsung T5 external ssd

I'm referencing this scene from Memories (1995), which made a strong impression on me. I'm trying to recreate a similar effect for a project and would appreciate some technical advice.

My current plan is to shoot two takes from the same locked-off camera position using a wide-angle lens. In the first take, a female actor performs a controlled fall to the floor. In the second, another actor mimics catching something. I'd then use rotoscoping in After Effects to composite the shots so that the female actor appears to pass through him.

Not the best footage for tracking, but after effects did a good job nonetheless.

This isn’t my first project, but it’s one of the most difficult ones so far. I’ll be doing more.
