Any tips or cool tricks for this guy?

The mod queue is PACKED with low effort posts with titles as ambiguous and pointless as "Help" or "[Year and Make of Car]"
If these end up in the queue, which is hundreds and hundreds of posts long at any given time, I will be removing them from now on.
The mod team does not have time to look at every single post and determine if it's a quality post, a photo, etc. If you want your post to stay, make your post titles communicative.

I’m torn between two CPO MDXs for around $40k OTD w/ Advance package
2022
Lunar Silver Metallic w/ Gray interior
63,469 miles
2024
Majestic Black Pearl w/ Parchment interior
69,325 miles
The catch is the 2024 is 7 hours away and the 2022 I have a friend at the dealership and it’s in my city
I’m not usually a silver fan but I think it looks good with the chrome finishes and blends them in nicely
In terms of the price difference, the 2024 feels like a better deal? But idk!
We already own a 2019 White RDX Advance w Espresso interior, but my husband’s car finally died so looking for something bigger and have narrowed down to these two!

2017 ILX Premium, 2.4L, 8-speed dual-clutch
31,500 miles only
Beautiful before, no issues. Mom's old car :(
Accident and repair (May-Sep)
I was hit in the left rear quarter panel by an SUV while accelerating from a stop at a red light, traveling approximately 20 mph. It felt hard.
Body shop did a "set up and pre pull" (frame), sectioned in a new left quarter panel, and weld-repaired the rocker, aperture panel, rear body panel, package tray, left side support, and left inner wheelhouse. Replaced rear bumper cover, left tail lamp, left blind-spot radar, reconditioned left rear whl. The headliner, rear seat, back glass, trunk lid, both left doors, and the rear floor under-cover were removed and reinstalled.
Alignment: suspension geometry out of spec after the accident and was corrected. Now getting 30 mpg or better, as before; drives straight.
Found headliner damage from repair, returned to body shop. While attempting to fix it, they broke the windshield. Then had to remove the headliner completely, disconnect battery, and replace windshield. A different shop later installed an OEM windshield and discovered paint on an electrical ground connection (and fixed it).
I don't remember if the symptoms below appeared immediately after the accident, or after the initial body repair. I think both problems showed up after the second body shop visit, but I can't say for sure.
Symptoms
1. Shift shudder (main concern): Mild to moderate, sometimes a hard shift, sometimes a small shake.
Happens at the moment the car comes to a complete stop, about 85% of the time.
Sometimes shudders during 1-2 or 2-1 shifts while driving (~20% of the time), with no clear pattern or connection to the stop-related shudder.
Tried manual mode with paddle shifters twice. Shifts between 1st and 2nd were much harsher than before, so I stopped using it.
Some improvement after idle relearn (described below) but still frequent.
Gentle stops seem worse than firm stops. No consistent relationship to road grade (up/downhilll).
Stop-related shudder never happens in Reverse.
Consistent delay/shudder engaging Drive from Park, though unsure whether this predates the accident.
A couple of light jolts accelerating around 40-50 mph since repairs, infrequent, never happened before.
Dealers focus on the vibration and largely dismiss the shifting concern.
2. Idle vibration: Strong, rhythmic, seemingly engine-related, frequent, but ingermittent. Sometimes the car is completely quiet, as before. Felt through steering and seat.
Much worse in Drive (~600 rpm) than Park or Neutral; worsens with A/C, especially at higher settings.
In Park, vibration is noticeable as RPM falls through ~900-600 after revving.
Seems better during cold/high idle and worse once warm at lower RPM, but I am not certain of this.
What's been done
Independent shop, 8/11/26:
Found loose rear undercarriage covers, resecured them; noted "Torque mount showing early signs of excessive movement."
Suspension, axles, alignment, leaks checked OK. Transmission fluid "in good condition."
Asked about replacing torque mount; shop advised against it, saying it wouldn't make much difference.
Acura dealer, 8/28/26:
Test-drove with me and confirmed excessive vibration coming to a stop and in D/R; idle slightly low.
Full DTC scan: no codes. No misfires at idle.
Inspected fuel lines for vibration/contact: no issues.
Idle learning showed incomplete. Both battery terminals were loose.
Engine/transmission mounts checked: dealer found no bad mounts (disagreed with the other shop, I guess). Loosened, neutralized, and retorqued all mounts.
Tightened battery terminals and performed idle relearn.
Follow-up test drive: idle normalized to ~720 rpm; technician reported improvement when stopped in gear.
Multi-point inspection: suspension, driveline, steering, exhaust, brakes, and fluid leaks passed. Transmission fluid service recommended.
Brake master cylinder recall completed.
Result: Both vibration and shudder improved somewhat but persist. Driven ~100-125 miles since relearn.
Transmission service
Due for 30k-mile transmission fluid service. Dealers repeatedly recommend this as the next step, but also admit they have no other ideas.
Hesitant because symptoms appeared after collision repairs, I am 1000% sure, not gradually. Could aging fluid really explain the sudden onset?
Questions
Transmission adaptation/software: Researched Acura TSBs 16-045 and 17-015. Could battery disconnection have affected learned clutch settings? I've requested i-HDS readings for "Completed Clutch Lap Cycles" and "Clutch Lap Completion Status," plus current PGM-FI/AT software calibration and latest version for my VIN. Dealer hasn't checked these, so I have no idea if they are related. They seemed unfamiliar with clutch break-in and said it wasn't a common request. Is pursuing these reasonable, or should I prioritize something else?
Torque mount: Independent shop noted early movement, but dealer subsequently neutralized/retorqued mounts and found none defective. Could the mount still be responsible? Worth ~$400 to replace?
Idle relearn: is 100-125 miles sufficient, or does it need more time? Does persistent vibration suggest another problem?
Transmission fluid: Could the collision or repairs have affected the fluid or transmission operation such that a fluid change would resolve this?
Next steps: What specific diagnostic tests should I request? I'll take your recommendations directly to the next shop. Thank you SO much, this car is so loved 💔

My 2019 Acura RDX radio stopped working. I brought it in and they replaced the FAKRAS my radio still didn’t work. Now I am being quoted $2400 because I need a new amplifier? That sounds a but ridiculous, is there a cheaper alternative? Really just debating on selling this car, I only have 50k miles on it.

Acura will expand its dwindling lineup with two new models, including its first eight-seat crossover, as Honda’s luxury brand pushes into high-demand segments it has long sat out.
The new flagship, positioned above the three-row MDX, is the model known internally as the Acura XL, as Automotive News reported in July. Production is scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2029, with Acura projecting annual volume of up to 40,000.
Honda is expected to build the XL at a $2.5 billion assembly plant in Ohio, though the statement did not specify a production site or confirm plans for a new factory. The plant also could build the redesigned MDX and a new Honda-branded three-row flagship crossover, with all three vehicles sharing a common platform.
The XL will receive a new large-vehicle hybrid powertrain promising sporty performance, stronger towing and better fuel efficiency.
Acura also intends to enter the crowded rugged-lifestyle segment with an “adventure-ready” crossover in the first part of 2028.
The vehicle will share a platform and be roughly the same size as the Honda Passport, according to AutoForecast Solutions.

Acura should call it the SLX while they call the new full size SUV the LDX. Also if Acura says they are still committed to sedans, they should also be planning a new Legend based on the next gen Accord in 2030 to replace the TLX.

This was my 3rd year attending, and I decided to spend the whole weekend out there this year.
The weather definitely tried its best to rain us out, but overall, it was a fantastic weekend, and it made for some awesome shots.
Can't wait to go back next year and further improve the capabilities of the RDX.

It’s actually sort of fun, I wish there was an easy hack to switch it on.

I got a brand new 2026 Acura integra a spec.
I got the black colour so I know it chips easily.
Do you think it’s worth it to get paint protection film.
I can’t afford a large portion only the front bumper maybe a little more.
I will mainly be doing highway driving and it will be out during the Canadian winter.
Please let me know if you think this is worth it.
So I own a 2022 tlx type s, and I've been reading about the tlx type s and MDX type s from the same years having a potential issue with transmission splines shearing and you basically lose all power to the rear wheels.
The NHTSA did a investigation, but did not go so far as to declare a specific defect. Honda isn't declaring a recall. Those impacted are saying they have repair bills in the $5k-$10k usd range.
Apparently it happens around 70k miles.
I'm at 72k km (50k miles). Is this something anyone here has experienced? Do you know anyone? How common is it really?
I love this car, but I'd also happily trade it away if it avoided a $10k repair bill.

2020 MDX arm rest… not sure if anyone else has this issue. Pretty sure my 5 year old climbing over from the back seat to the front did this when he stepped on it.
