I'm enjoying audit pa naman so far kaso di talaga nakakabuhay ang sahod dito. For experience nga lang talaga sya. Nakakalungkot lang kasi na mas importante pa na they retain their clients kahit wala nang kinikita sa kanila kesa itaas ang sahod ng employees. Pero ano bang say naming hamak na employees lang? Good bye sgv na talaga.

sa mga taga SGV dyan I think it is high time you challenge HR and higher-ups about how they compute yearly increase. walang masama mag ask papano nila na determine ang increase.

SGV Salary increase

Grabe working as Senior Assoc and almost 5 years na sa SGV ang increase ko lang ay 1k. Yung 300 plus ay sa basic pay.

Ganito niyo pala pahalagahan yung employees niyo magbibigay kayo ng 300 increase sa basic pay.

Hays.

With the growing inflation rate and uncontrollable price hikes for basic needs and commodities, you gave us this kind of salary β€œincrease”. I think it’s time to leave.

Happy 80th SGV Anniv hahaha

Timesheet burnout

How do you guys deal with timesheet burnout? My friend is in AU firm and she's just a few months in. Kakastart nya lang last June, and first month in, she really wants to quit. She would rant to me everyday. The one who manage her is not really her manager, I think training to be kaya ang toxic. Every week may call daw sila, and before the call she is dreading it already. After the call magpapanic na sya and mas lalo sya di makawork, ending lalo bumabagsak productivity. Kasi during the call this person who manage her workflow will look at all her jobs and asked why she took a long time on this Job A, B. Then would go on to make comments about her timesheet entries. She will extend work to make up the time leaving her tired everyday. I told her to quit her job. Because the mental toll is not worth it. She's even questioning her own capability now. When I know that she's really good at her craft. Nauunahan lang sya ng panic. For me it's already micromanaging na.

Sabi ko sa kanya, ako if ganyan, di ako tatagal kasi ayoko sa lahat na parang binabantayan kada galaw ko. Na every call someone would nitpick everything. Like you want me to hit productivity, yet you're not giving me guidance, you are not giving me the time to adjust to the new environment first. First month palang nya, gusto ata eh 100% na ang productivity.

hi! help this lost girlie out :(( i just need some encouraging words.

for context, i graduated last year and took the CPALE twice, but unfortunately, i failed both times. it really took a toll on my mental health. i'm the panganay na anak and apo in our family, so it's a given that they have high expectations for me. they don't pressure me naman, but you know how it feels when you know na lahat ng mata nakatingin sa'yo.

failing the CPALE twice made me doubt my capabilities and question whether accounting is really the right career path for me. i'm just really burned out.

now, i want to find a job na sana, especially since i've already spent five months resting after my last take. the problem is, i can't seem to push myself to do it because napapangunahan ako ng takot. i've also lost the confidence i used to have back when i was still an academic achiever hahshsa. dagdag pa na i failed the CPALE twice, which makes everything even harder.

i'm also an introvert, and the thought of going through job interviews scares me hahshaha. but i'm self-aware enough to know that hindi ako mapapakain ng hiya ko. i know i need to take that first step, pero napapangunahan lang talaga ako ng takot :((

i guess i'm just looking for some words of encouragement from people who've been in the same situation or have gone through something similar. how did you find the courage to start over and believe in yourself again? :((

Hi, I’ve been seeing a lot of posts about SGV salary increases, and most of the feedback hasn’t been very good.

Since this is my first time at Citco, can you share how much the increase usually is? At least I’ll know whether to brace myself for disappointment or just start looking for another job huhu.

About me:

- Junior Specialist

- Rate: Delivers

Jobs, Saturation and Salary Any AU Insolvency Accountants here?

Currently an Offshore AU Intermediate Insolvency Accountant.

Do you think this is a path na for matagalan dito sa PH? Not really common kasi insolvency/bankruptcy dito sa PH.

Saka talagang mas focus sa admin stuff rather than pure accounting?

What are your plans career wise when your going to another job?

Curious lang hahaha

Board Exam [LF] CPALE May 2027 Accountability Buddy / Study Buddy (Purely Online / REO)

Post image
3 Upvotes

Hey everyone!

I’m a 26M from Ilocos Norte, currently prepping for the May 2027 CPALE. I recently resigned from work to go full-time with my review, and I’m enrolled in REO (Purely Online). This will be my second attempt after taking the boards back in October 2025.

Since I'm studying online and full-time from home, it can get a bit isolating, so I’m looking for an accountability buddy (or a small group/discord) to help keep each other stay on track.

Doesn't matter if you're with REO or another review center, or if you're a first-timer/refresher, as long as you're taking the May 2027 boards and serious about staying consistent!

If you're interested, feel free to comment below or drop me a DM. Let's get that CPA title this May 2027! πŸš€
