I wanna resign but busy season is just starting

Hi. For context im in IT Audit sa 💛. I just recently joined. Akala ko kaya ko pero ewan ko, sobrang nahihirapan ako to the point na parang nawawalan na ako ng gana with everything. I just want to rest. Parang hindi ko kaya magstay until the end of busy season. Ask ko lang, do you think papayagan ako mag resign na kakastart pa lang? Medyo nahihiya din kasi ako mag resign kasi I feel like parang anlaking inconvenience sa team na maghahanap sila ng magpapatuloy sa trabahong nasimulan ko and right now its still so messy. What are the consequences if magresign talaga ako? Need your cent.

Any accountants here who moved to AUS, NZ, IRL, UK? How should I plan my path as a fresh graduate?

Hi po!

I'm a fresh accountancy graduate currently studying for the CPALE. Is anyone here in the same field who has managed to migrate to Australia (or New Zealand, Ireland, or the UK)? What path did you take po?

I'm asking because someone here may have already done this, and I'd like to get insights directly from people who've been through it. I would love the opportunity to live permanently in any of these countries.

Based on my research, one possible pathway is to get the CPA, work in a Big 4 firm, and then apply for the 189 visa (for Australia). Another is to work for a company that’s based abroad, or an international firm that could eventually sponsor me, and then naturalize? Aside from these two, ano pa po ang ibang pathways? And what are the must-knows po for these pathways?

Any advice would be really appreciated. Thank you po!

General Discussion Did my first accounting exam today!

It's a full accounting cycle. It's fun and stressful. I remember having an error in recording journal entries then the wrong amount was also posted on the ledger so I had to redo/recompute it. Tapos may calculator na pero namamali pa rin ang loka. Nalaman ko lang ang lahat ng ito nung hindi nagbalance ang SFP 😅.

Kabado bente pero at least more than bente ang score. Made it to the finish line, Post-closing TB! After na-correct lahat ng mali, I'm confident na tama ang balance ko.

Idagdag pa ang time limit ng exam so parang doctor tuloy ako magjournal, handwriting is something I really need to improve talaga hayst.

Question Big 4 Resignation - New Hire

Hello po, I am currently on my probationary period and will be regular by January. I am not in the best shape right now mentally because of family problems. I was okay before this job but I have developed anxiety because of it, on top of family problem I am facing which makes it worse.

I would like to ask for advice, will I be okay even though I have not gone through the busy season? Or is it a ‘wasted experience’ (CV-wise) if I don’t go through the busy season?

I really would like to resign, not because I couldn’t carry the workload (I know I can), it’s just that I can’t give my full self into this career at the moment as I am not in the best shape mentally.

Will I still have good career progression despite this decision? Or should I stick and endure?

Thank you in advance <3

Board Exam Counting Down the Days before CPALE

Hello Everyone! Few Days left before the Oct 2026 Cpale...

Above Average Results in my 6 month Review and sometimes I often feel like Chamba ko lang nakuha ang score na ini... Zero-based grading Review Center namon which had questions ranging from easy to difficult... In the final review stretch especially sa FAR and MS may mga topics ko na di gid master but gina try ko at least remember basics...

After reviewing my preweek for FAR it was okay like basics and reasoning of why this was how it was solved but when I had time to study extra stuff in the previous materials I was like What is this?

Don't get me wrong, Preweek namon is most of the Harder questions in the Final Pre-board but pag balik ko sa Review Mats na surprised ko na di na ako balo mag solve most of them in the same topic...

Like the basics went out of my head.... Feel ko lang na kapoy ko so I decided to rest for a while and typing this right now to rant a bit...

Pero like always kung hindi ko na gusto mag balik review need ko lang mag effort to pass... I don't know if akon lang ga feel sini since this usually happens ever since may exam season from undergrad and thankfully daw sign sini na gina remind ko guro na you are doing your best rest first ahhahahaah

To the Oct Takers and the future takers:

Muni gali hambal nila na daw scared kaw na di prepared days before the board exam... Muni pa hambal nila na turning point ta is what we will do in the last few days... Pero sige lang trust and continue to prepare until the very end...😩😩😩

EY GDS AS FRESH GRADUATE NO EXPERIENCE

Hi it's me again. hahshahsa kindly help this girl🙏 since i have no idea what i should do during offer discussion, ano po ba dapat ang expected salary ko as a staff na non cpa no experience but only had an internship sa big4? ano po ba dapat ko i-note na important benefits na maibigay sakin?

initially , i wasn't interested sa EY kasi medyo malayo po sya sa current address ko but nagapply pa rin ako without thinking na makakatanggap ng call from them. Fortunately, super bait and accommodating nung TA at manager na nag-interview sakin which made me reconsider it. I also don't have a family member na nasa accounting field kaya wala po ko mapagtanungan 🥹

for reference here's the timeline

October 6 - HR phone call (technical qs, salary offer, asking if i can start at oct 12 )

October 12 - sent me a meeting link with senior manager ( i thought this was initial interview but sabi during the meeting last interview na raw 😆 ) same day naka receive ng congratulatory email and employment application

October 14 - HR sent a schedule for offer discussion

Thank you!

General Discussion Did You Own Maison Solutions ($MSS) During Its 83% Collapse? Investors Settlement Is Available Now

Hey guys, if you missed it, Maison Solutions just reached a tentative settlement with investors over claims related to its IPO disclosures. The terms are still being finalized and will need court approval.

In a nutshell, Maison was accused of failing to disclose related-party dealings, prior allegations involving its CEO and other risks tied to its IPO. After a Hindenburg report raised these issues in December 2023, $MSS fell 83.6%, and investors filed a lawsuit.

The good news is that the company recently reached a tentative settlement with investors. There’s no settlement amount yet, but you can already submit an application, which will be processed once claims filing opens.

So, if you invested in $MSS at the time, you can check the details and submit your application here.

Anyway, has anyone here invested in $MSS back then? How much were your losses, if so?

Atty Cabrera & Robin Padilla

Alam ko namang 8080 si Robin, pero because our field is the one being used in the impeachment proceedings, mas kitang-kita ko ngayon kung gaano siya katanga. I’m genuinely in awe at how stupid he can be. Yung pagod at stress ko sa audit natatabunan ng inis kay Robin hahaha

Question Salary and Work Experience

With all the disappointments regarding the salary increase / promotion lately sa SGV, how much ba nag rerange sweldo sa mga firms and for how many year of experience and what position?

Audit assoc, senior assoc, manager??? Curious lang kasi I went straight to private companies dahil alam ko yung sacrifices if sa firm ako pumasok.

Question integ tips | nu

hi!

our integ is upcoming next sem. i'm studying at NU, a tri-sem institution notorious for fast-paced learning environment.

is it recommended na mag-enroll sa rc? i'm worried 'di ko rin masulit kasi baka kulangin sa time watching pre-rec vids.

what are your tips and suggestions?

should i just self-study?

i'm also planning for selective enrollment nalang for weak subjects.

hi! help this lost girlie out :(( i just need some encouraging words.

for context, i graduated last year and took the CPALE twice, but unfortunately, i failed both times. it really took a toll on my mental health. i'm the panganay na anak and apo in our family, so it's a given that they have high expectations for me. they don't pressure me naman, but you know how it feels when you know na lahat ng mata nakatingin sa'yo.

failing the CPALE twice made me doubt my capabilities and question whether accounting is really the right career path for me. i'm just really burned out.

now, i want to find a job na sana, especially since i've already spent five months resting after my last take. the problem is, i can't seem to push myself to do it because napapangunahan ako ng takot. i've also lost the confidence i used to have back when i was still an academic achiever hahshsa. dagdag pa na i failed the CPALE twice, which makes everything even harder.

i'm also an introvert, and the thought of going through job interviews scares me hahshaha. but i'm self-aware enough to know that hindi ako mapapakain ng hiya ko. i know i need to take that first step, pero napapangunahan lang talaga ako ng takot :((

i guess i'm just looking for some words of encouragement from people who've been in the same situation or have gone through something similar. how did you find the courage to start over and believe in yourself again? :((

Jobs, Saturation and Salary Any AU Insolvency Accountants here?

Currently an Offshore AU Intermediate Insolvency Accountant.

Do you think this is a path na for matagalan dito sa PH? Not really common kasi insolvency/bankruptcy dito sa PH.

Saka talagang mas focus sa admin stuff rather than pure accounting?

What are your plans career wise when your going to another job?

Curious lang hahaha
