Hey all, I am not an ASU student but considering taking one of these two for a pre-medical field course. What is the difference between the two? Are they easy enough for people who are not super strong in the sciences? Do they lean more bio or chem? Thanks so much!!

Hey all!

I just applied for the program and I'm curious to hear from those already enrolled. For full-time students, how does the course load look? I am a full time Director of a library in CA and I'm trying to see what I'm getting myself into. Any advice would be greatly appreciated :-) I would like to hear from part-time attendees as well!

How is ASU online? Are there plenty of professors and plenty of seats available for Business/Economics students? Do the professors have good prerecorded lectures or do they give you a Pearsons code and nothing else? Also, anyone who transferred was that process swift and easy? Is the Admissions department fully staffed or is it one person per department lol. Also I noticed some classes start in January, does that mean you also have winter sessions? Thanks in advance !

I'm planning to check out the downtown Phoenix campus for a BSN degree and there are no official tours the day I will be there. What should I see to get a feel for the experience of a nursing student at the downtown campus?

Should I swap out for her other class. if it’s offered because now I’m worried about being late on assignments.
Has anyone ever had this happen?

Does the digital version of the official transcript on Parchment not come with one click verify or a signature? Besides getting a physical copy (which will take longer than the time I have), is there any way for me to get an official copy of my transcript that can be validated?

Sorry for the silly question, and thank you.

Hello all! I am currently enrolled in SBS 101 and was wondering if anyone had a copy of the textbook required for this class? I’m entirely strapped for cash and did not realize I would be having to pay over $50 for this professor’s own textbook. I do not get paid until next week and I am trying really hard to pay back my current debt so I would not like to accrue more 🥲

Any help is appreciated! Even if you don’t have the ebook, any sites that I could find it at even a reduced price would help a bunch!

I have grad pictures coming up, and I’m realizing the cap/gown/tassel/stole will not be here in time. Is anyone selling any of these? I’m 4’11” but I’ll make do with one that’s for the 5’-5’2” range as well. Thank you so much!

I’m starting my degree next year. Would love some insight into what the classes consist of. Lots of presentations? Hands on projects? Essays? MCQ exams?

I am from CA. I plan to apply ABSN program at ASU. Before I apply, I want to know how the program is? Have students dropped out from the program?

Hey everyone! I'm looking to start a band here on the Tempe campus, let me know if you're one of the following and would be interested in joining (you don't have to be an expert by any means):

Drummer

Bassist

Lead Guitar

Singer/Vocalist

You can look at my previous post about me being accused of academic dishonesty for anyone who doesn’t understand what I’m talking about but a few people requested an update so I just wanted to provide one. But I want to make it clear, i did NOT cheat on my MAT 117 final exam.

Super short summary though, im an ASU online student and im being accused by my professor of cheating on my MAT 117 final exam because I answered a question without a calculator and I erased some of my work on my scratch paper to save space. (I understand that earsing wasnt the smartest idea) I was being recorded by two cameras the whole time, one recording my environment and the other screen recording my screen. Absolutely no cheating occurred on my end and they can see that no cheating occurred in the footage. I really recommend you read the original post before forming an opinion.

Update: Professor Boney (I do not recommend her omg) gave me a zero on my exam that she’s accusing me of cheating on. i emailed her and asked if this zero is permanent or if it’s just temporary until the academic integrity office decides whether they believe i cheated or not. She responded with “That will remain, as there is not any question as to the validity of your original score.  Academic integrity however will determine if further penalties are warranted and will be in contact.”

I think that means even if the academic office dismisses it and says i didn’t cheat that means shes still going to leave the zero there?? Or am I misunderstanding what she said? Can someone please clarify and is that even possible to leave my exam score as a zero if I’m found NOT guilty of cheating? Someone please explain.

The academic integrity office essentially said that my punishment will just be a zero on the exam and asked if I want to accept that or if I disagree with the allegations. I took all your advice and responded to the academic integrity office and im going to appeal and fight so hard for this but i dont want to fight to prove my innocence if my score on the test is just going to be left as a zero even if they decide that I didn’t cheat?? I don’t understand what the point is then??

I find this so crazy and bizarre, I went from a B to now a D and I now won’t qualify for nursing school unless I retake the class and I borderline refuse to take a class that I did NOT cheat on. Quite literally TWO cameras were watching me and my screen, they can see NO cheating happened when they review the footage.

This whole experience has honestly made me want to consider attending a different university, ive never been so stressed.

I’m posting my response to the academic integrity office in the comments if anyone is curious as to what i had emailed them.

Anyone know what’s going on with ARS 101 on canvas? I’m an online student, and session B officially starts today; however there’s no information published on canvas for this class, and I haven’t received any emails from the prof about delays. I’ve sent an email to the design school to see what’s up, but that’ll probably take a few days, and figured I’d see if anyone here has any info.

has anyone taken either of these classes? major american novels, or crime: film and short stories. i’m currently enrolled in eng 471 (literature for young adults) but don’t love the syllabus, thinking of switching over to one of these.

Does anyone have the number for Student Business Services to remove the payment plan fee?

I finally have my student loans being processed and want to get the payment plan fee removed. Yes, I looked online and couldn't find it. I don't want to be on hold for 4 hours with financial aid just to get the number.

Thank you in advance!

With class registration coming up, I wanted to share a project I built for ASU students who might not have seen my previous posts.

About a year ago, I created ASU ProfessorView, a browser extension that automatically displays Rate My Professor ratings directly in ASU's Class Search. When I first shared it here, around 160 students were using it. Since then, it has grown to 1,800+ ASU students.

For anyone unfamiliar, the extension lets you view professor ratings, difficulty scores, and student feedback directly alongside your class search results, saving you the trouble of looking up each professor individually.

It's also now available on both Chrome and Firefox!

• Chrome: Chrome Web Store
• Firefox: Firefox Add-ons

For anyone concerned about privacy, the extension is 100% open source, doesn't collect personal information, and the code is available for anyone to inspect: GitHub Repository.

If you're registering for classes soon, I hope this makes the process a little easier! As always, feedback, suggestions, and bug reports are greatly appreciated. I'm still actively improving the extension and would love to hear what other features students would find useful.

Professor will not give me another option to buy a used book so I’m giving up my uber scholarship…I’m tired

I’m trying to decide which section to enroll in for Phy 121 next semester. I’m currently between Prof Cheng Tao Yang and Professor Nicholas Matlis. Has anyone taken courses with them? Do you have a recommendation?

I’m new to physics, but have a strong background in calculus and derivatives.

Hi all. I've heard rumors about a paranormal investigations club that holds meetings across several ASU campuses. I've also heard they'll go on ghost hunts, have ouija board sessions, etc.

Unfortunately, I've had no luck finding info about where and when these meetings are held or how to sign up. The club is basically a ghost 😢 does anyone have any info? If so, please let me know!!!

I just wanted to rant about SCAI since they still haven't released pretty much any classes for next semester and my registration date is in a week. Why is SCAI just so slow and unprofessional??? I swear literally every other school/major doesn't have to wait for their classes to be released after the original class schedule release date, so why do we? It's just unfair to students who pay tuition when they only have a week to decide what classes they want to take before registering. Also trying to submit any kind of petition with SCAI is the worst, they'll take forever to get back to you, and most of the time they just forget about your case and will only work on it when you remind them. It's kind of absurd that they forget when it's literally their job to do these things. Also why is the capstone experience just terrible?? It's just sad that the class that's supposed to culminate your academic experience is literally the complete opposite. If you don't get a project with a well-known company you're pretty much screwed and have to make an AI-slop, ChatGPT wrapper for some random startup taking advantage of capstone for free labor. I really doubt anything is going to change so I just want to rant.

Not local or the area and would love recommendations on reliable and affordable graduation photos. TIA!

Hey everyone! I'm graduating this December and obv my first time buying graduation regalia from ASU.

I noticed the Grad Fair runs until October 16, but I'm a little confused about whether it's better to buy the cap and gown package online or directly from the campus bookstore.

For those who've already graduated, is there any price difference? Also, how accurate is the sizing? I'm 5'7", and the online store asks for height and weight. Do the gowns generally fit well, or is it better to purchase in person to check the size?

Would appreciate any advice from previous graduates. Thanks!

Hey everyone, I'm having difficulty finding open classes for CSE 325, which worries me since it's a necessary requirement class for my program. Has anyone been able to add it to their shopping cart for Spring 2027?

Hi, I am currently taking a community college class that I need for a prerequisite for the spring semester. The class ends in late January. Would I be able to still register for my spring class? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi everyone. So a couple weeks ago me and three of my friends were drinking at one of the student apartments and two CAs started banging on the door. I’m assuming it’s because we had music playing loudly and were yelling. They took photos of the two bottles we had and had us pour them down the drain. Now we all have interviews with the office of rights and responsibilities coming up.

Has anyone been in this situation? What can I expect from the interview and what should I say?
