Working title is UMA (Unidentified Mysterious Animal)

In this world, Umamusume are the highly evolved and last remaining relatives of prehistoric hooved animals that grew alongside mankind. Unlike canon where they're basically humans with some horse traits, well...you can probably already guess how different they'd be from that brief description. They're still sapient and regarded as members of society, but are incapable of speech and obviously a different psychology/ways of expressing emotions from humans which causes them to be viewed as not quite the same (yes it's a big factor in the plot). It follows the journalist and his team from a Japanese News outlet who spend a week at Tracen for a special story, conducting interviews with the staff and students and all that. The whole point is that they might be more "animalistic" but they're still the same girls we all love, and people in their own right.

Now it's time to ask, what due YOU think of the idea and what else should I possibly add or change about it?

Just to let you all know, this is my first time writing a counterpart reaction fic. It’s just a sneak peek to what I’m going to be writing as a side story for fun.

Since I saw [u/TheFirstKuria](u/TheFirstKuria)’s post on the lack of reaction fics. I decided…

"How about I make one were their male counterparts react to their female counterparts?"

I know the concept of umamusume and many popular anime series is usually overshadowed by self-insert, cringe or bad writing characters, annoyingly op character development with bullshit statistics, yuri content and BL, and whatever.

So I decided to make one myself. And it is a little clunky, but don’t blame me, because it is my first time despite being an experienced writer in the past.

Umamusuko no PakaTubu!

"HELLO EVERYONE! It’s your favorite maniac and chaotic umamusuko, Goldship! Here to bring you your first ever showcase of reactions towards other counterparts!"

Host of the Show - GOLDSHIP

A white haired umamusuko, with blue eyes, buff and tall, wearing his signature outfit (birthday suit) who thinks like chaos, runs like chaos, and smells just like chaos. Is Goldship. And oh dear… did he say he’s going to do a reaction video of their counterparts?

"Today we are looking at alter versions of ourselves but… with a TwISsSSssttt~"

Goldshi says as he wobbles his body like jelly.

"Because this world has both stallions and mares of uma spieces. What about a world where everyone, is a mare? A MAAARE I tell you! Goddamn if stallions like us were turned to mares, imagine the multiple versions of body types, personality, and even appearance we may inherit different from our own. Be it beauty fashioned gyarus, cutie patootie softies, cold stoic badass chicks who are tsun tsun to ya, busty big babes with a taste of elegance, dominance, clumsiness, mommy love , aaaaand many more! We got it all for you!"

The anime wow SFX plays in the background.

With images of each umamusuko turned to hot babes. The first image showed a female version of Gold City long flowing blonde hair, blue eyes, wearing a school girl outfit with her vest tied around her waist who loves to dress herself in clothes that fit to an actual gyaru. Second came a female Zenno Rob Boy, and she looks softer than the one we know, third was a row of girls from the mentioned traits like Narita Brian who clearly has that cold exterior and tsundere act, Sirius Symboli who clearly likes to call you her puppy, Mejiro Ardan who clearly is very beautiful in her elegance, Meisho Doto with oh my… BIG BAZOOKAS! How is she not having a backache!? And Super Creek with that caring nature the other Creek did not have.

There were others hiding in the stack of umamusukos turned to umamusumes awaiting to be revealed by many of their male counterparts. How will they react when they see another version of themself that exist as the opposite sex? How will they respond? How will they feel? And how will they know that another world similar to theirs exist in the multiverse!? Let’s find out!

An umamusuko with brown hair, quite long below his neck with an ornament of gray tone inside the back of his mane, gray bangs, an extended lock on the left side and a diamond shaped mark on his follicle. With darkened blue eyes that were sharp as daggers, wearing a brown trench coat to cover his crimes. Was Dream Journey.

Guest no.1 - DREAM JOURNEY

You may call him short, you may mistake him for being the youngest, but with a temper so higly aggressive and volatile over others including his own kind. He is the current head boss of the Gold Family as the eldest who seeks violence even to his own handlers.

And uhh... is he…? Bloody? Why is his trench coat so bloody? Oh he’s holding what looks to be a machete, but I thought he was no longer violent? Nevermind, forget about that… He’s just choking the life out of his younger brother Goldship. Who is clinging to dear life while the rest of the siblings watched.

Holy shit, while being the shortest of among the bunch he’s crazy strong. Able to lift up the second youngest sibling amongst the Golden Brothers.

"Dreamu-aniki, it’s literally what the context says-"

"Not anymore."

While Goldshi clings to life, Dream Journey… PULLS OUT A GUN OUT OF NOWHERE AND POINTS TO THE CAMERA!

The sound of his gun popping a bullet switched its analog channel to "Sorry we ran to some technical issues!"

In the background we hear people screaming for their life as gunshots echoed.

The scene cuts to a tv full of colors broadcasting no signal.

And they’re back! Only this time, DJ is in heavy restraints to restrain him from murdering anyone or Goldship, and is wearing an iron muzzle to protect everyone from him from biting your arm clean.

"Phew, anyways! We are back once again. Sorry for the sudden technical issues."

Referring to Dream Journey.

"But enough about that! I brought my beloved family on my humble abode to react to their side of life’s mystical wonders!"

"You mean, show us a bunch of those weird fanarts about us turned into mares?"

"Yeah, you’re right Naka Festa-anii. As said in the beginning of this intro, we are going to react to another version of ourselves. Only as girls."

"…Why am I even part of this?"

Fenomeno asked dryly dead in tone. Being the tallest amongst, the siblings he was the youngest. He had slick back bair that looks almost unmistakably cartoonish wearing a police uniform. Yep, during his retirement he now works as a police officer.

Guest no.3 - NAKAYAMA FESTA

Nakayama Festa casually says. He had a long mane styled in a mullet that covers most of his neck. Wearing a thick gray jacket with a white undershirt and baggy jeans, all ragged, as if it came straight out of a prisoner stolen by this umamusuko.

When he was on the racetrack, he was hotheaded, stubborn, and fiercly competitive against other umas. though he mellowed into a much calmer demeanor during retirement.

The only difference with his looks is his purple eyes had bags under them, and instead of the usual toothpick in mouth or lolipop, (he still eats them) he smokes a cigar on hand.

To why he’s currently doing it on camera right now…

"In the name of the Gold Clan, quit smoking in this room!"

"Bet."

He lazily said laying his head back before blowing smoke onto Orfevre’s face which he coughs up before he turns back to hit him with his own fist. With Nakayama dodging it lazily, and smokes again with Orfevre sighing in annoyance.

Guest no.4 - ORVEVRE

Now we have a hot shot on the show, his name is Orfevre. The middle child amongst the Gold Family, he certainly has royal blood in him. With sunset orange long flowing hair and platinum blonde side locks with royal purple eyes that looked like jewels. He wears a baggy white poet shirt with a feltzer brown vest, and black pinestripe trousers and necktie.

Now you see, a lot of mares would fall hard for this umamusuko’s appearance (Lilacs and Lace did) and without a doubt he was someone so highly respected through his racing career.

He was known by many as the "Tyrant" but in reality, that was just a facade to hype up the fans. And in truth, Orfevre was this playful but mischievous annoying middle child who wanted to be spoiled by attention.

Don’t say that to Orfie or he’ll end you!

February 10, 2010, in the clinic area of the Northern Farm, Cesario could be seen on one of the beds with a serene look on her face while having a bundle in her arms.

That is when the door opened up, revealing Symboli Kris S, the love of her life, entering the room with a blue balloon in his hand.

Cesario would smile from the sight of him and said, "What took you so long?"

"Most of your family is practically blocking the hallway outside, everyone is excited to see the baby," Kris S said as he walked over to her, having just grabbed a chair along the way before sitting by her side and looked at the bundle in her arms. "Is that our boy?"

Cesario smiled from this as she lowered her arms so Kris S could see the bundle.

There, wrapped in the bundle was a little colt with the same hair and fluffy ears as his, though his eyes were hidden away as the baby was currently sleeping in his mother's arms.

A small smile then appeared on his face as he looked at the baby as he reached out and rubbed one of the colt's cheeks with one finger, making the baby coo in his sleep.

"Epiphaneia got a lot of your looks but his eyes are a mix of ours," Cesario commented.

"What was he like after he came out?" Kris S asked, which made Cesario let out a sigh yet her smile still remained on her face.

"Very hyper, when he first saw me, he would giggle and try and reach out to me, and when I did reach out to him, he grabbed my hand and smoked on one of my fingers," she told him.

Letting out a chuckle, Kris S would look at their son and said, "He will be a fine racer when he grows up."

"That he would," Cesario said in agreement as they look at their son together with tender smiles on their faces.

The two would then look behind them to see the door being opened and there popped out the head of an old Special Week.

"Can everyone come in now? Everyone wants to see the new member of the family," He said to them, making Cesario giggle.

"Alright, you can let everyone in, but make small groups and make them enter one at a time, the room is already small as it is," she told her father.

"Kay," Special Week said before he faced outside the room. "Okay everyone, form small groups and go in one by- omph!"

"Where is our new nephew!"

Then came in a young male Copano Rickey coming in excitement, who bumped Special Week to the side to get in, then came along a young male Smart Falcon, who also looked excited, and then a male Espoir City, who looked embarrassed at what his little brother did.

"Sorry uncle," Espoir City said to Special Week, who has just recovered from being bumped away.

"That's okay, just make sure that he is calm around the baby," Special Week said to his nephew, who then joined his brothers to keep them in line.

"You okay?"

He then looked to the door to see a chestnut stallion wearing a pair of shades while giving the old Uma a cocky smirk. This made Special Week snort and bumped shoulders with him.

"Buzz off Allure."

"Careful now big bro," Gold Allure said with his smirk growing bigger.

"I really want to punch you in the face."

"Try it, you are not golden enough."

"What does that even mean?!"

"Oi!"

The two then looked behind and saw Stay Gold looking at them in annoyance.

"Can you hurry already, a lot of them are waiting their turn here," he said to them.

"Papa!"

"Ah!" Stay Gold then screamed as someone jumped towards his head, it was young colt with a mischievious grin on his face and has brown hair with a white stripe on the front, but it looked that the rest of the hair is also turning white.

"Can we see him now? Can we?! Can we?! Can we?!" the young colt said in excitement.

"C-Calm down!" Stay Gold said as he tried to get the colt off him. "Festa!"

"Coming pops," another colt then came into view, a bay one this time but looked a bit older than the other one, and gestures to the younger colt. "Come here Golshi. Come here."

"Can you hurry already Allure," Deep Impact then came into view, also looking annoyed, and he has three young fillies with him. "Do this after you check the baby, we want to see him too."

"Alright, alright. Sheesh, you guys are not golden," Gold Allure then went into the room to look at the newly born colt with his children while the others watched from the door.

Cesarios just giggle as she watched her family interact with one another, their liveliness just made her happy to be around them.

"Epiphaneia will have a lot of rivals when he grow up," Kris S commented as he look at his wife's young cousins.

"I'm sure he will make his own mark, he is our son after all," Cesario said as the two of returned their gaze to the still sleeping Epiphaneia.

Said colt wasn't even bothered from the commotion around him, and just continues to sleep in his mother's arms.
