I used to say I wasted money seeing this in theaters the day it was released. Now, it's a cherished memory that makes it worth every penny.

Discussion Was Chaz Finster a Creep?
Many people consider Chaz Finster the Jeffrey Dahmer of the Rugrats Universe: aloof, socially awkward, strange, and potentially dangerous. Questions and theories remain related to the death of his wife after all. Now I can hear some of you saying "but Chaz is so nice, he loves his son!" okay, the whole he's a nice guy thing losses its value after the 37th time he losses his kid in a toy store. That bumbling chucklefuck deserves to have child services called on his ass.
We aren't here to litigate whether or not Chaz sucks (he's an ineffectual milquetoast coward who narratively offers nothing beyond providing Chuckie a glimpse of the overarching failure he's destined to become) but instead explore where or not he's a creep. And I'm not talking about his implied trysts with Howard (there's nothing wrong with that, what decade do you think it is?) but instead his relationship with his wife Kira.
There's a well-documented history of poorly mustached personality free white American nerds thirsting after East Asian women, traveling their to engage in sex tourism, and arranging to get mail order brides in order to finally find "love." Chaz Finster, with his orange dirty Sanchez, fits this profile to a T. He's unlovable in every regard, not a single positive characteristic beyond making someone comparatively feel better about themselves, and in Kira's case, perhaps his wallet and nationality status.
Kira is intelligent, capable, and attractive. She has nothing in common with Chaz beyond single parenthood, which is clearly part of her goal. She is looking out for herself and her child so she accepts this arrangement. This is the only way Chaz can experience affection and a relationship. They make the arrangements and fake a chance meeting while in Paris. Chaz Finster, perpetual background voyeur finally gets to satiate his creepy urges long after the death (and perhaps murder by his hand) of his first wife.
What do you all think? Is Chaz Finster an evil creeper or is this an ironic satirical over-the-top essay meant to make you laugh with its ridiculousness?

Discussion TIL On the TV show ‘Clarissa Explains It All’…Clarissa had a boyfriend for nearly the show’s entire run
I’ve been really under the weather the past few days and have been just resting up and streaming stuff. I went on a good old 90s nostalgia run the past week and have been binging Clarissa Explains It All. I was about 10 when it started airing and a teen when it ended. I had pretty good memories about it and hadn’t seen it since I was a young kid.
It honestly never dawned on me til really paying attention to the silly show, Clarissa had a “boyfriend”(Clifford) for like, 90% of the show’s run. Lol I thought it was pretty amusing and random. This guy Sam was such a non threat, her parents would walk in on them together in her room with doors closed!
Lol Sam was the patient zero ‘friend zone’ dude.

Discussion Your Favourite '90s Cartoons
Ones that you treated like a religion.
My entire junior high watched Earthworm Jim when it came out, and I remember during recess we would shout "WORM IN HEAD!" to each other. I got to the point of where I was losing it so fucking hard that my parents thought I was dying when IRL crows were on TV, I laughed for like 5 minutes straight just at the mere sight of those stupid fucking animals. Psycrow completely corrupted my mind in every sense of the term.
Then there was Space Ghost Coast to Coast; I still use quotes from that in everyday life. My favourite quotes from that show would have to be: "My hatred for you is delicious," "HE LOOKS LIKE A BATMAN VILLAIN," and "LET BRAK SING THE THEME!"
Rocko's Modern Life too; I still have a stuffy of Rocko I got from the Nickelodeon Store at my local mall in 1998.
Keep it going!

Discussion Microsoft Paint Was Our First Design Software
Many of us used to spend hours drawing random shapes, filling everything with colours and using the spray paint tool like it was some kind of artistic masterpiece... And I can't forget the moment I accidentally filled the entire canvas with the wrong colour... and it happened all the time... ahh, good old days...
What was your favourite thing to draw in Paint?
