Hey everyone!
I have a 2013 Nissan 370Z Base with a 6-speed manual transmission.
Iāve noticed that sometimes when I shift from 4th to 5th gear, I hear a grinding/crunching noise or the shift feels rough. Other times, 5th gear shifts completely smoothly.
Iām just driving normally, not racing or shifting aggressively. Gears 1, 2, 3, 4, and 6 all seem to shift smoothly, and my clutch feels normal.
Has anyone experienced this issue with their 370Z?
Iām wondering if it could be a worn 5th-gear synchronizer, transmission fluid, or something else. How did you diagnose and fix yours? Was it an expensive repair, or did you have to replace the entire transmission?
Any advice or personal experience would be appreciated. Thanks!
