Oh my lord, can I tell you reason #498 why I love your country!
So, I'm in Tallinn, right? A bit unprepared, I haul my Finnish ass to the nearest Rimi Express to buy tooth paste. I nod the my tere for the bear of a clerk lady, like a proper Eesti simp that I am, and proceed to the self-pay-checkout. I mean how hard can it be, I'm practically a local!
It doesn't work. Or rather, I have no idea what button to push. If there's a setting for Finnish, I can't find it. I smile sheepishly for the lady, wave my hands to illustrate I'm an idiot, and need help. The lady sighs and comes over.
At this point I'm so flustered, I'm almost ready to throw the dice, and start talking some sort of ancient Proto-Finnic Estonian, but I don't want to do the insufferable, presumptous thing where I assume the local peasants must understand my high Valyrian. Now I'm starting to feel a bit less like a local.
The lady fucking yanks it off my hand, beeps it and tosses it to the basket. It doesn't hit the basket, though it falls on the ground. The lady doesn't give a fuck, nor should she. She's the queen of Vanalinn Rimi Express, and I'm there at her leisure. I pick up the toothpaste with an "aitäh", half-bowing like a eunuch. Under her breath she muttered something Estonian, that I have no idea of, but it was probably something like "I cherish the relationship between our two brotherly nations!".
Way back to the hotel I just keep smiling. She's right! Who tf is happy to serve people 8AM? I don't come to Tallinn there to be pampered, I'd rather see real people.

working in retail, finnish tourists are the second biggest pain in my ass (right behind russians)
