Estonian language didn't come from Finland. If anything, it's the other way around.

Finns and Estonians come from same group that split apart. Everything else is debated and not factual.

Proto-Finnic arrived to Southwest Finland from Estonia, through the sea. This is something virtually all linguists agree on.

Later on other groups of Proto-Finnic moved east from Estonia and became Karelians. Those people populated Finland, and merged with the West Finns, forming the Savonian and Karelian dialect groups.

VERY broadly speaking - true. But it isn't as simple as that.

That group has always been split, it never was a compact unit.
And finnic language arrived to Estonia from south, along the coast from Prussia and / or along the river VΓ€ina from Polotsk.
