Decided to get out of striker fire and get into the 2011 game. The Romulus is getting etch work done with my first borns name. What add ons should I get or what should I change on them?

I got this Staccato C2 for $1500 on my local classifieds from the original owner who said he had about 100 rounds through it. I've taken it out twice and put ~600 rds through it and I love it so far. Out of my handguns it is certainly my favorite to shoot so far aside from maybe my tx22.

So I am trying my hand at working on my staccato P.

I’ve purchased an atlas conversion grip, atlas trigger shoe and bow, and atlas perfect match ignition kit.

I’ve got all components installed properly.

However, the safety is not functioning properly. When the thumb safety is actuated, it feels gritty or like it’s catching on something.

If I pull the trigger with the safety engaged, the hammer drops to the half cock position.

I am using the stock staccato thumb safeties.

Any thoughts on what’s going on?

How much is it to get an aluminum 2011 grip anodized? And is there a good go to company?

I just bought a Nightwood Guns Special Edition EDC Pro Compact. I bought it in WV and I live in VA, so they are going to ship it to my LGS and hopefully, it will be here Tuesday.

I purchased a Cheely XL Magwell from what I read is it does fit with a little gap on the back.

I’m trying to install and it seems like the holes doesn’t line up. It’s like the magwell needs to come back a hair. Is this something I need to file down?

Edit: got it on. Atlas mags don't fit :(

Black major parts and blue PVD barrel, safeties, slide stop and hammer. Has a big ass window cut on the top of the slide to show off the sick barrel color.

What are the best 2011's for a $3,000 budget?

Bench rested my Glock 47 and RCD Core at 15 yards. My Glock was practically stacking rounds while the Core was grouping noticeably worse. Had a hell of a time zeroing it until I realized it just wasn’t as accurate.

Idk man, I’m honestly disappointed. The Core is a sexy gun with insane fit and finish, but I just can’t get it to perform the way I want. Even the return to zero has been underwhelming compared to my Glock, which just returns perfectly.

Does this thing need to break in or something? I love 2011s, but getting back into USPSA, I’ve pretty much settled on my Glock 47.

I know I’m going to get blasted for saying a Glock performs better than a high-end 2011, but idk man… I genuinely shoot it better and enjoy it more. Maybe I’m doing something wrong?

UPDATE: Running a Trijicon SRO 5 MOA that I know holds zero. Even bench rested at 15 yards, my groups were all over the place, roughly 4–5 inches apart. Zero might've been off, but that shouldn't affect grouping.

For context, I shoot 1–3k rounds a month and recently got into USPSA. Not claiming to be some elite marksman, but I can stack rounds with my $600 Glock 47 that's got 10k+ rounds through it. Pretty humbling getting outshot by a fucking Glock after spending 2011 money lol.

Ammo is SuperVel 124gr ball and Blazer 124gr.

Going back in a few days with labeled targets for a proper comparison so I can present my findings to the Reddit ballistics PhDs.

Fit and finish on the CORE are insane, and I genuinely want to love it. Maybe I'm missing something, maybe my expectations are too high, or maybe 2011s just aren't for me. Either way, my wallet is filing a formal complaint.

UPDATE 2: Reached out to RCD, so we'll see what they say. I hate blaming manufacturers, especially when the build quality is this good, but as some of you pointed out, lemons happen. Hopefully we can get to the bottom of it.

I was looking at purchasing a Prodigy Comp, and have heard Prodigy's have had a few small issues and I am assuming and hoping Quality Control and these issues got better with time (correct me if this is def wrong)...

My question is... is there a way to tell how old or new one is? Perhaps by a serial number?

Looking for suggestions for a fourth member of my Mt. Rushmore for commander length 2011s. The other three are Atlas EOS, Jacob Grey Hex, and Nighthawk Double Agent. What suggestions (preferably something obtainable, not custom) are there to join the other three for a compelling Mt. Rushmore representing the best carry 2011 experience? There are comparatively fewer videos on YT for this length as opposed to the 4.6" and 5" options. TIA!

This is only the second 4.25” Aluminum gun in my Infinity collection. Do NOT sleep on SVI aluminum. These are amazing shooters. Baby Bird was the first one I bought.

I’m really excited about this design. It’s clean and impressive. The Space Invader grip texture is soooooo good. 🤌🏻

Maybe this design wins over some people who feel most Infinity guns are too ostentatious for them? 🤔
