Hey yall i just joined today but i've been a zukka shipper for a long time so i'm true to this, not new to this lol

I've been reading zukka fics since like 2020 and im still here but i feel like ive read them all at this point. However, once in a while I'll see a fic that is really good that I havent read and i end up loving it.

Whenever you guys get a chance just drop a comment with your favorite and/or most interesting (probably canon divergent) fanfics (preferably on ao3). I'm really into arranged marriage tropes or even a little a/b/o if any of yall get down like that but overall yall feel free to share whatever is your cup of tea cause i'm always looking to explore!!!

My favorite is the Leaving it All Behind series by sreeder. I think everyone needs to read that whole collection because it is like 1.2 million words total across the three books and every chapter and part of the story literally leave me speechless every time i read it and is just outstanding work. Trust me, if you've read it you'll understand the glaze. its juts THAT amazing (there are a lot of trigger warnings and dark subject matters so this definitely may not be the fic for every person in that regard)

I am completely obsessed with so many of the incredible fanfics that have come out of the Zukka ship but why is it that so many of them are unfinished or abandoned 😭😭

i devoured looks like we only move backwards and the art of burning but I’m feeling kinda demotivated to read any more because they’re not finished or probably abandoned. Ofc this is absolutely no shade to the authors who literally have every right to focus on their own lives, but the cliffhangers are too much man.

Is anyone else having this problem? On that note I would love some fic recs which are completed stories with similar vibes :))

Hello. There's this fanfic that I read on ao3 but I cant find it now. Its a soulmate au where you share dreams with your soulmate. I unfortunately dont remember the name of the fic or the author who wrote it but it was very popular. If you filter by kudos it would come up in the top 20 fics. In the story I'm pretty sure Zuko chose to side with the gaang instead of Azula in the crystal catacombs but he got captured and imprisoned then got a brand on his neck that marked him for execution. Him and Sokka share dreams about their future throughout the story and that's how they find out they're soulmates. If anyone has read that fic and has it I would appreciate it if you told me where I could find it😊

broo... it was so refreshing. i only ever read fics in the canon world, and it was soo nice to read a work with such a unique take... naturally, i was looking through their other works and i realized why their writing style was so familiar! it's the same author as "where the stars do not take sides"!!! everything makes sense!!! but fuckkk that fic affected me deeply... feel free to share your thoughts and fic recs with interesting premises if you want!

It starts when theyre teens. Slow burn. Sokkas excited to have a guy his age around, yet at the same time, he is SLOW to come around to zuko. Then theyre relationship develops into a genuine friendship. It has been years since theyve had a guy friend their own age. It just kind of follows them growing up together. Their attraction isnt overt or an oh crap moment or anything like that. Theyve just grown to enjoy each others quiet company over the years, and its a mutual understanding. Mutual attraction. At one point things tip over the edge, but no one remembers when.

As adults, things are tense and pleasant and eve try thing at once. They have their own responsibilities and dont see each other often. Zuko needs to produce an heir to the throne, sokka has suki. Sokka comes to the fire kingdom as an ambassador for his tribe (duh), and theyre able to explore their relationship as an adult. Again, nothing formal, but its mature. No more awkward stumble, just steady love wishing they had more time.

They both understand that theyre not each others priority, but that doesnt mean they love each other any less. Sure it causes resentment and pain, but they dont hate each other, they just wish things had been different. Theyre not poly, not open, but a secret third thing.

Últimamente me he engañado a leer fanfics con temática de Sokka prisionero. Hace no mucho me terminé de leer uno que era después de la guerra, o sea, Sokka había sido capturado cuando era un niño y fue liberado cuando era adolescente. No necesariamente tiene que ser así, pero me gustaría más si fuera en una cárcel de la nación del fuego, que de estar capturado en el barco de Zuko (aunque tampoco descarto la opción)

No me acuerdo de casi nada de la trama, sólo de que era un AU alternativo, sobre que Katara y Sokka no perdonaban tan fácilmente a Zuko, pero Zuko SI que entraba en el GAANG. Creo que en ese fanfic Zuko y Toph se llevaban muy bien.

Hi everyone! I've been trying to find a Zukka fic I read a few years ago, but I can't remember the title or author. I've searched AO3 for hours and still haven't had any luck, so I'm hoping someone here recognizes it.

It was a complete, post-canon fic with around 74 chapters (definitely over 70), and it alternated between Zuko's and Sokka's POV. It was a very slow burn and focused heavily on Zuko's mental health, including his trauma/PTSD, guilt, and I think internalized homophobia. Sokka also had chronic pain in one of his legs from an injury (I think from the finale), and it was mentioned throughout the story. I'm not sure, but I think Azula had a redemption arc, and I remember she and Zuko used to talk, because she lived near the palace in some in-house therapy place.

The beginning is what I remember most clearly: Sokka leaves the Southern Water Tribe to go see Suki, but when he gets there, she breaks up with him because she's in love with (or already dating) some girl, who I think was Ty Lee.

I need help finding this one fic I think might have been deleted.

i think it was a zukka fic but it could have just been platonic, my memory is fuzzy. a lot of it was from the pov of a teacher who worked at the high school everyone attended. she was suspicious about zuko's home life and eventually got him to open up about him being abused by ozai and helped him leave the situation. the author had given everyone last names based on their nationalities too (i believe zuko was zuko nomura and he was japanese, but i don't remember all the rest).

it's been on my mind for a long time and i can't seem to be able to find it again, so i would appreciate the help TT

I read this a few years ago (2022? 23?) and I CANNOT find it anymore, and am gutted. If anyone knows it or has a download of it I would be so so grateful!

It's a multi-part series, and I remember it starting with Zuko and Sokka getting together secretly in Ba Sing Se. I think Zuko fools around with Jet briefly first? (It's not Blue!). I remember it was explicit, and there was a whole thing about Sokka liking Zuko leaving handprints on him with his fire bending. I've also got a vague memory of Zuko sitting on the roof (?) during a storm in Ba Sing Se and feeling at one with the lightning, something like that.

Book 3 I remember even less well, apart from the fact that they break up, then one of them is ready to date and the other isn't, then the other way around, then they finally sneak back onto the warship post Boiling Rock and get back together and it's hot. It might have been unfinished? Titles had something to do with the sun / fire / dawn, and were connected somehow I think.

Hi! I want to apologize in advance for the favor I'm about to ask, but I need help finding two fanfics, and I'd also appreciate any recommendations.

The first fanfic was about Sokka and Zuko being attacked or getting hit hard on the head. When Sokka woke up, he heard a voice in his head that he couldn't quite make out; eventually, he realized it was Zuko's voice and that they could both hear each other's thoughts (i.e., telepathy).

The second fanfic might sound a bit strange, but I remember it was about Sokka living in a cabin in a place where it snowed a lot, and one winter, he saved a bird from freezing to death (or something like that). Some time later, a stranger (Zuko) knocked on Sokka's door. It was eventually implied that Zuko was the same bird Sokka had saved earlier. I also remember that Zuko had some kind of wound and that Ursa, Zuko's mother, had died skiing or something like that.

I know that asking for help to find these fanfics is already quite a lot, but I really need recommendations.

I'd like to read a fanfic about Sokka being on Zuko's ship and how, because of that, they gradually get to know each other better, or something like that. I really liked the fanfic 'These Things Written' by erisenyo, so I guess I'd also like it to have the slow burn tag and, if possible, the bottom Sokka tag. I don't necessarily need the story to be completely smutty, but I'd love to read a story like that again.

Please drop your favorite Zukka fics! I especially love stories set in the ATLA universe (bonus points for post-war, but not required). I’m a sucker for slow burns, great characterization, and fics that really capture Zuko and Sokka’s personalities.

the main thing i remember something about zuko being hired to do manual labor for a guy he’s given a meal and also a place to sleep which is better than other places he’s worked?

i think in this one he has fully exiled and the gaang finds him and takes him in for a bit (on a job premise) and then they separate before finding each other again?

i need canon universe zukka pls 😿
