My husband found a selection of photos on the corner of Micklegate heading down North Street. They look like maybe an artist commission- this one is a photo of a painting but there was also the photo this is based on and a few others of the same woman. Appear to be from the 1990s. Would hate to think of someone missing them! Anyone recognise them??

Title. Wondering if there's anywhere I might go in the city for some fun statement pieces (I sort of lean into alt fashion) that aren't just t-shirts or some sort of jumper with a print on them. I might check out vintage shops, but I can't be so sure they'll have what I want. Thanks in advance!

We're visiting the weekend before halloween and bringing some friends for the first time, we usually go pick up a promotional box of cereal or Cadbury's chocolate but the slots are filling up so I'm hoping some kind person happens to have an unused code or two on their shelf, we're 4 adults so need 2 apparently. Last time I tried to pick up someone from York station on a Friday evening it was total gridlock and I ended up having to turn into a random side street and phoning them to come and find me there.

I see the station Gateway project is progressing - is it any better now to pick people up from the station itself / short stay car park, or if not is there any better place within easy walking distance of the station where I could collect them?
