The new mix and the deluxe songs proved how much mastering matters within any song, and Thomas Mann was the mastering engineer for the original mix of MIP last year (he should be in prison for what he did with that shit). Thank you to Micheal and Glenn for actually caring about how pi’erre’s sound works. It’s Fantastic!!

I'm gonna start by saying i don't think the original release was bad to begin with, even if a lot of people in the com didn't seem to think it this way, but all the changes he made with this deluxe really made it WAY MORE enjoyable and replayable for me.

Obv the mixing update, that was something most would agree was really needed, and turned out great (for the most part), but also the transitions, which i was really glad he went back and got them down properly. The new bonus tracks are GREAT additions to the tracklist, regardless of what else he could have picked (which is surely a topic that will be brought up by some). And fuck it since i'm making the post i'll say even the cover is SO much better. I love the reference and the way it was shot, the colors are so 'vibrant' and it just fits perfectly with the aesthetic that the album and its mvs meant to create and, overall, is just a way more interesting cover than the previous one, which i consider kinda plain.

This new mix makes the album feel like how we originally thought it was going to be. For over a year, a popular topic in this sub was the mixing on MIP. The inconsistency on the original mix left me feeling let down. I found it difficult to go back to this album due to it. The improvement has created an entirely new experience over a year later. My fav so far on the deluxe is Set4 which has an infectious melody on the chorus. P is back yall!!!!

& that’s saying a lot imo. The original songs sound way better than before AND the 6 new songs add that same vibe he’s already established for this album. Out of the new tracks, I love Set4 the most, then French Kiss and Post Oak. More Than Likely is just average to me & the other 2 I could live without.

Le Vôtre was already one of my fav songs off the project and now I love it even more with the clearer vocals & the boosted bass. Sait sounds a thousand times better too. And the 2nd half of Façade be sendin me to another planet lol I’m ready for the concert man 😭 all the songs are gonna hit so hard!

With the second leg of the tour being announced, deluxe dropping (and surpassing expectations), tlop4 vinyl release announced and his recent production with øway it feels like we could be due for a second prime idk

I have listened to Pi’erre’s music since 2020, mainly keep the TLOPs in rotation. I been a little out of the loop on his more recent albums, I liked what I heard but it just always left me feeling like Pi’erre could do so much more. This project really feels like a great combination of his melodic strengths from his older music with a bunch of really creative and intoxicating melodies.

I also think the mixing of his adlibs are much better, especially his lead vocals seem more crisp and fill into the headspace of the instrumental really well

I know I’m not the only person surprised by how Pierre brought it all together and improved all every single song. Like how are the chances that all the changes hit.

That being said. I’m left wondering about the other fan favorite songs connected to the MIP era.

6 new songs that’s it, but all us know it’s basically a brand new album bc of the mix. On the outside looking in the improvements of this album won’t be appreciated.

Makes me think that P could’ve missed opportunity with this deluxe to add more songs maybe underground features along with the new mix album to really create some noise again

Best case scenario, either during or after the MIP part 2 tour ends he should add more songs to the deluxe, going into the near year

Worst case (realistic) after the 2nd leg tour is finished disappears and we get 2 years of irregular insta livestreams of snippets and some random sosshouse production in between the years

What do y’all think is truly next for Pierre I know he’s rumored sossworld. But what can we expect from Pierre anymore? He really probably only drop an album every three years. I feel like that’s genuinely so out of touch with what the music industry is these days and not to rush anything of course this is the last fucking idiot who will rush anything. But for someone who’s made some of the greatest beats of all time and can probably cook up an amazing beat in a day to only drop every three years and have oh yeah no fucking features because he’s so on his high horse yet he only has 1.3 million followers on Spotify. It’s great accolades but the guy dropping every three years is fucking crazy, not to mention he will drop a random music video from a year ago And expect us to just nuht all over our screens. But sure man fire fucking fit on IG.
