XKCD XKCD 195 (Early) 20th anniversary - Updated Version
Since it's been nearly 20 years since the original, figured I'd make an updated version. Hand-drawn in pencil over ~5 hours.
Two major differences since the original: Fractal Mapping/Hilbert curve isn't used - used a normal grid instead. No green blocks - IPv4 has been exhausted fully (at least according to IANA and the RIRs), so no free allocations are available anymore.

XKCD What is this little bit here?
Is it Mimas? It seems too big for Mimas. Why is it unlabelled?

XKCD This probably wasn't done on purpose, but I love how Black Hat and Danish are fighting back to back here

Exploring the Range of Felsius Across 4 Different Locations (xkcd 1923)
Following up on the Los Angeles heatwave discussion, here is what standard weekly forecasts look like across four completely different locations when rendered entirely in Felsius:
Antarctica (general): Proves that the Felsius weather app, called Atmos, can handle Felsius temperatures in the far negatives, like at -56°Felsius (-51.4°C / -60.6°F).
Svalbard Archipelago, Norway: Shows how Felsius operates under single-digit temperatures, like 1°Felsius (-10.7°C / 12.7°F).
Melbourne, Victoria, Australia: Serves as the Felsius control group. 45°Felsius (20.7°C / 69.3°F) is about room temperature.
Death Valley, California, USA: Demonstrates how extremely hot temperatures fare under Felsius. 72°Felsius (40°C / 104°F) is hot enough to trigger an Extreme Heat Warning!
Drop a city in the comments! The most upvoted city will be in my next Felsius weather report! :D
Looking For Comic Are Hobbit's nuclear?
Assuming that the blue glow of Sting is cherenkov radiation occurring in free air, just how radioactive is the sword and what kind of dose did Bilbo get?
Idk if this has been covered in a previous comic or not.
What-If Alternate scenario
What if the infamous 66MYA, the 15 km wide dinosaur killer asteroid hit today right at the centre of pacific ocean (i guess there we have water deep in capacity or sufficient enough to force a water level high above) to form a 2012 hollywood movie scene of megatsunami which reached the heights of Mount Everest(Mount Sagarmatha) 😀
BTW, I'm not an nihilistic guy 🙂.
Plz make this video on the xkcd channel. I'm one of subscriber of that channel. Also how I can post this question directly to the authors of the channel
meat proxying
This dude coined “meat proxy” for some peeps now adays. and I felt like it should have an xkcd… i took a stab but I don’t think is good enough, can we get Randall Munroe on the case?

XKCD IRL Not sure Randall ever intended Felsius to reach such temperatures (xkcd 1923)
On September 9, 2026, Los Angeles had one of the most brutal heatwaves, reaching a high of 73 degrees Felsius, or about 41 degrees Celsius / 105 degrees Fahrenheit. However, because of humidity, the Feels Like temperature was at a whopping 78 degrees Felsius (44 degrees Celsius / 112 degrees Fahrenheit).
I know Randall set the world heat record at 92 degrees Felsius on xkcd 1923: Felsius, but I don’t think he would’ve expected temperatures in a major city that is not even in the desert to come within 19 degrees Felsius of that record.

Anyone have a browser extension that will automatically switch to the XKCD mobile door when opening the page?
Since the site won't auto-redirect to the mobile site, I figure it should be easy to make the browser do it. Firefox, Chrome, whatever you've got
